Barn holiday rentals in South Hams District

Was working in the area and we decided to stay here for 4 nights. Fantastic house, very clean and tidy. Lovely place. Would definitely stay again and can recommend for familys.

Wonderful stay at the Apple Loft, I loved everything about it. Kate is the perfect host - friendly and helpful. The space has everything you need for a cosy and comfortable stay. Lovely private courtyard garden with gorgeous 'cottage garden' charm (great for dogs - the garden is completely enclosed so no worries about them wandering off!) The farm is beautiful and peaceful, with great walks right on the doorstep. It felt completely secluded and private, yet it was comforting to know that Kate was next door in case I needed anything (which I didn't, everything ran like clockwork!). I will definitely be back xx

Gorgeous place for myself partner and our nearly 3 year old and 5 month old fox red lab - all the amenities required A beautiful bedroom and relaxEd living space - the farm has plenty of space for walks and off lead enclosed field - Bude is only 20 minutes drive but for dogs Sandymouth and black rock beaches are a must visit with fab cafes x don’t be put off by not being in the centre - perfect excellent value for money- we would recommend the 16th century local pub/ eatery x

We loved our stay here. Gorgeous surroundings, friendly hosts. Camp bed put up for our oldest son, no problem at all.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Cider Barn. It was peaceful with beautiful views and we were lucky that the weather was good so we were able to make use of the pretty garden at the back. The house had a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed and a good shower. It was lovely to meet Sandra who was very friendly and the homemade oat cookies were delicious and much appreciated as were the eggs and milk. We would love to come and stay again in the future.

A beautiful spot which was so relaxing. The house was laid out well for 2 couples. We really enjoyed our stay. Disappointed though with the local pub. Wouldn't recommend eating there sadly.

We had a great time at Debbie’s. It was fairly easy to find after plugging in the gps coordinates from AirBnB’s map. The place was spotless when we arrived. The area is very quiet, and besides Springer Spaniel or a nearby farm shop with decent food options, you’ll have to drive everywhere. But we knew that going into it - no problems there. Debbie has been very helpful and sweet.

We had a lovely stay, felt so relaxing. Good location as not far to Dartmouth in one directly and Salcombe in the other. Would definitely stay again.

What an absolutely perfect stay we had i honestly cannot recommend enough! I could not get over the views, the most peaceful, beautiful place. The cows really made our stay we watched them for hours. Sue was lovely and greeted us on our stay then left us to get on with our holiday only ever a message away. The place was so very well equipped with quite literally everything you could need, we really appreciated the special touches - coffee, tea, milk, local cider! Lovely little pub with great food just five minutes away, and a beautiful beach a short drive away too. we even visited the donkey sanctuary which was a very cute day out. All in all 100000/10 Will definitely be returning. Thankyou very much Sue! xxx

very nice and cosy accomodation, in the middle of nowhere (what we wanted). well equipped. very relaxed stay.

This place is a beautiful home with a nice private backyard and very modern interior. The dog from the owner came over every day which was very nice for our kids. We arrived very late but everything was great from the beginning. On the first morning we received freshly baked bread from the owner. Within 30 minutes of driving there are lots of things to do. You can experience Cornwall including beautiful beaches but also relax in the house including a nice fireplace. Absolutely recommend this place!!!

This barn was amazing eveything you needed was supplied The garden was fully secure so my dogs loved it, Noel gave us some brilliant recommendations to eat out , local amenities , take aways The hosts were amazing , left us & the dogs lots off treats which we really enjoyed We will be back again next year Thank you again for making our holiday one to remember From Jemma, Clynt , Eric & Luna 🐾🐾

Had a wonderful stay here on the farm, couldn't have asked for more! Trish was a fantastic, responsive and friendly host with lots of useful information about local points of interest! The old stables was so cozy, spotless and comfortable with everything we needed for a great weekend! It was so lovely to see, meet and feed the alpacas and goats on the farm. We had fresh eggs and milk provided as well as some treats and a beautiful welcome card! Would definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting the area and looking for a peaceful and unique stay!

We had a beautiful week at The Cart Barn, beautiful location with beautiful views and a private garden which was perfect for our pooch! we spent most of our evenings watching the beautiful cows out the garden! the hot tub was a lovely addition and the barn had everything we needed to make ourselves and our dog feel at home! Some great recommendations in the welcome book and from the owners of local things to do! Will definitely be returning in the future! :)

Wow! What an incredible 6 days we had staying at Nicola’s place. It was for my partners 21st birthday and Nicola put up banners and balloons which was lovely of her. We both had the best time, it was both of our first time in Cornwall and we explored so much in the time we was there. Boscastle is an amazing place to stay as St Ives was just over an hour away, Marazion was an hour away, Newquay just under an hour. Even the local beaches and exploring Boscastle was so much fun. It really was a great location, the views, the sunsets/ sunrises everything truly was amazing and we will 100% be back in the future. Thank you so much for having us and as I say we thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Cornwall.

A fabulous little hideaway perfect for dogs! Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing break! The secure garden meant the dogs could roam freely and every detail was thought of. The house was immaculate and really comfortable and a great central base for exploring Cornwall. We WILL be back!

Really lovely place and lovley scenery Nicely decorated and maintained Lots larger than we expected! You can really see the host really put efforts in maintaining the house rather than just do the bare minimum to rake in money

We left home in the rain and arrived in perfect sunshine - this just about sums up our mood on arrival - all the clouds, literally and metaphorically, disappeared! We absolutely loved Clearwater View - the space and the view are absolutely gorgeous. Everything you could possibly need was supplied, extremely comfortable furnishings and bed and the kitchen was well stocked. Greeted with a basket of scones, jam and cream, fresh eggs and some bubbly. The messages I received from Clare prior to our stay were friendly and informative, and Clare was extremely understanding and sent a very lovely message on learning that our two canines would not now be joining us on our stay. Mike and I really needed the time away, not only to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary, but also to re-charge after a very tough year, and Clearwater View allowed us to do both in peace & comfort. such a lovely air bnb in a beautiful part of the country. Wish we had longer there to explore. Our hosts were the absolute best. Really helpful and friendly. Recommended some really great places. Lucia was always really quick to reply. Side note, we went to their ice cream shop in salcombe and its hands down the best ice cream we've ever tasted.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Lovely accomodation in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We enjoyed walks around the farm and we were joined by one of the hosts dogs a couple of times which we loved. We even managed to see an otter down at the river on our first night! Bird and hedgehog watching from the hot tub with a glass of bubbly… bliss.

What an absolute gem. Tucked away down a quiet country lane and within easy walking distance of a beach this place was an absolute delight to stay in. Check in was a breeze and we found the property to be clean and well equipped, matching its online description perfectly. The property had a lovely garden with seating and was only a ten minute walk from Sidmouth donkey sanctuary. The property came with a useful information book with recommendations for places to eat which we used. A number of other well known south Devon coastal towns were only a short drive away and the property was only 30 minutes drive from Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast.
