Guest house holiday rentals in South Hams District

Booked fairly late but were so pleased we did. Perfect location for what we were doing and so close to lovely beaches in the area. Property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Would definitely recommend and return in the future.

We had an amazing 3 days in this great cabin RIGHT ON THE BEACH!!! We absolutely loved it. It was wonderfully quiet and peaceful - we couldn't recommend it highly enough. It helped of course that we had fab weather! It is extremely well designed and equipped and there is plenty of room for 2 people. (The mezzanine might be challenging for a big bloke...!) We found good and varied places to eat in Lyme Regis which is a unique and delightful place. The coastline is stunning. Go!

Emily has a lovely caravan in a quiet spot on an otherwise busy site. The caravan felt surprisingly spacious and it was great to have that second toilet available. It was also lovely and very convenient to have the shower. The site offers a lot for families with several play areas, crazy golf and swimming pools.

Spacious and private accommodation, Claire was very responsive to messages, well equipped and thought out. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

What a lovely break! Well-equipped and very comfortable home. Hosts very friendly, and it was fun watching their animals too! Local for Brentor, Tavistock and Cotehele, and can highly recommend Blacksmiths Arms for tremendous Sunday lunch. Thank you, Gary and Lisa.

The most amazing place to stay, it was just perfect for us. Plenty of space, the comfiest beds, insane views and a great tennis court. Thank you so much Beani for everything, so quick at responding and so flexible on our check in and out process. It couldn’t have been better!

We loved our stay at the Hide (7 days). The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do: National Trust locations and long walks along the coastal path and beaches. There is enough said about the stairs, and yes, they are a challenge, but if you take it slowly, no worries. The garden and area are wonderful and private. The owners Katherine and Tino very friendly and welcoming. We can surely recommend the Hide.

A beautifully clean, and very comfortable, place to stay. Very easy to walk in the National Trust parkland close by so very dog friendly. Tamsyn kindly provided nice goodies, including GF cakes for me! Excellent!

We had a lovely stay, The Annex was very well presented, incredibly clean and had everything we needed. Judith was incredibly helpful as well as the extra attention to detail on guiding us on our first trip away with our newborn, with all the amenities to ensure we had a fantastic stay. We had a lovely stay at Susan's place. The property was beautifully furnished and had a very calming aura. Directions to the property were clear and the village itself is really lovely and peaceful. The view from the bathroom in the morning was stunning! The place was really clean - even though this is a dog friendly property (and we didn't bring any) Susan clearly took care to ensure the place was spotless and free from hair. We'd definitely stay again.

Our family had a lovely weekend at Helen's place. It was beautifully located, clean and safe for the kids (4 year old and 10 month old). It's a short walk to Uplyme and a 5 min drive to Lyme Regis. We would definitelly come back for a longer break.

The cider house is a great place to stay for couples looking to dip their toe into the Cornwall lifestyle. The house is cozy and feels like a modern compact farm house. The location of the house is ideal for those looking for a peaceful retreat in the countryside, the host provides a log burner filled with wood ready to burn for a cozy night in and also an outdoor fire pit for stargazers with endless amounts of wood to keep the fire roaring! Overall the house and host are brilliant, all amenities are provided to ensure there are more than enough activities and entertainment options to ensure your stay is perfect!

Pat and Isabel are great hosts, very friendly and very responsive. The place is in a quiet section of Torquay, yet not far from the beach and marina. Everything is as described, and kitchen is well equipped. The unit feels spacious because of two levels of living space.

It was a beautiful trip. The room is a hide away, little gem. Walkable distance to the Barbican, about 30 min. 5min to Royal William Yard with scenic views and lovely restaurants. Easy access to buses. Fiona and Steve are very welcoming, proactive and helpful. I recommend it to anyone. Fiona and Steve, thank you for a lovey stay ☺️

We had a wonderful stay at The Cowshed. The cottage was perfectly set up, with a cosy atmosphere and a super comfortable bed. Everything was fresh and clean, and the access was well described and accurate - we had no issues accessing the cottage in our small Audi A3, even on rainy days. A huge thank you to Emma and Andy for making us feel so welcome! They're friendly and lovely people who gave us the perfect balance of space and information. We'd highly recommend this cottage and Emma and Andy's hospitality to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in beautiful Cornwall. Five stars isn't enough!

The Golly Gosh was a great find. We had the best time. Eamon and Bernadette were great hosts, friendly but kept in the background. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and the beds the most comfortable we’ve slept in! The accommodation was fantastic would definitely recommend and would 100% stay there again.

It is a beautiful and quiet place to stay. The garden and the view are so relaxing. The coach house is perfect and very comfortable to stay. It is well equipped. Everything is organised to spend a dream stay. We really enjoyed our stay at the house. We recommend !

Jon & Karin have created a luxury home from home, the setting is idylic and the welcome so friendly including a little welcome pack for the essential cuppa. We will happily book again, and again :-)

My stay at Frances’ was absolutely lovely- she made us feel very welcome from the offset! The place is very charming and homely- I’ll be back for sure if I return to this neck of the woods!

Small annex, exactly as described. Equipped with everything you need. Good location to explore Dartmoor National Park and Devon. Nigel and Claire provide infos and recommendations for the region. Communication was always easy and fast. We can recommend.

An ideal location for local Christmas family visiting , so we didn’t have need for local pubs/restaurants, however useful info from previous guests was available. It’s a lovely little ‘cottage’ with all you need , loads of hot water , and a nice cool bottle of wine on arrival !

I was working so staying was a needs must basis. However, I would gladly stay there on holiday. Parking was close, place was quiet and it was warm (temperature as you wish) and clean.
