Welcome to Chapel Cottage, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. Chapel Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed cottage, which dates back to the 17th century, and is located in the heart of the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water. There are also a wide range of traditional pubs, shops and restaurants, making Bourton perfect for guests of all ages. The village is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, and the many picturesque market towns and villages of the Cotswolds are all within easy reach, as are further afield places, such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford and Bath. “This place is everything you need and more. The pods are adorable and have a lot more room inside than you would think. We stayed for one night but wish we had stayed longer. Definitely order the fire pack if you can, it was pretty windy but we still managed to get the fire pit going and it was such a lovely way to end the evening. We met the owners when having brunch at the onsite café called the Nuttery. The food hit the spot and the staff and the owners were so welcoming and extremely hospitable. Definitely somewhere you will want to go back to in the future, we are already looking to book this place again! Thank you so much again! See you soon!”

“Sweet little cottage in the countryside. Rowena is a great hostess -- quick to reply to any messages and full of advice and suggestions for things to do. There are good pubs within walking distance. Having a car is definitely a plus if you want to do much exploring in the area beyond the immediate fields, though, we managed without one. While most of our walks were cut short by flooded fields, it was nice to explore the area and great to come back to the cottage to warm up with tea, brownies, and a good foot soak.”
