Holiday rentals with a balcony in Lucca

Really hospitable and very friendly. Such a homely place and very scenic.

We had a wonderful time at Agriturismo Torrione in Certaldo. The location is ideal for visiting all the sights between Florence and Siena. And yet you are in the nature. On a hill like in a picture book. From the terrace, you can see as far as San Gimignano. And from the pool to the hills of Tuscany. In Certaldo Alto, which is also easily accessible on foot, there are some very good restaurants. The only minor shortcoming was the mattresses on the beds. But we will certainly not have been in the Torrione for the last time.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property set in the heart of an Italian vineyard. The location was peaceful and incredibly relaxing — perfect for unwinding. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Hector, our host, was absolutely amazing — friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The entire site felt very safe and secure, with electric gates giving us extra peace of mind. The swimming pool was a real highlight: clean, well maintained, and surrounded by stunning views of the surrounding vines and hills. It was the perfect spot to soak up the sun. Another bonus was how convenient the location was — just a short drive of 20mins to Empoli train station, making day trips to Florence quick and easy. We truly enjoyed every moment and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful escape with easy access to Tuscany’s top sights.

Spacious and comfortable apartment in a great location. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other families visiting Lucca.

We loved staying here, Giulio's place was lovely. It had an old-time feel to it, and the terrace was very nice with the little orange trees. Our couch bed wasn't made up because we didn't notify him in advance that we'd need it, so be sure to let him know if you're going to be utilizing it. The neighborhood is quiet and isn't far from many of the important areas of Florence, with some terrific restaurants nearby. Giulio is a great host, and even helped us with an issue we had -- free of charge -- where many other hosts would have used it to get more money.

A good place to rest easy. Far from tourist traffic. Only local people, local eateries in neighboring villages. Minus or plus far to main roads, lots of serpentines. You definitely need to stock the nearest store about 15 minutes by car. Super pool - clean, well-maintained, and I recommend this place.

The apartment was impeccable, exceptional cleanliness. Very well-stocked kitchen (which is rare in many rentals) and a priceless terrace.

Beautiful pool and garden

We really had a wonderful stay. The host welcomed us incredibly warmly and immediately recorded an entire plan for things to do and hidden gems. The kitchen is really WELL equipped. The only small drawback, the mattresses are unfortunately very saggy and you should ventilate a lot, as it is very humid in the lower room due to the shower. Still, this place is HIGHLY recommended !! It was great

Incredible host. Incredible house. You feel like you are inside a postcard. The most beautiful views are all around you. We did not want to leave. Just breathtaking.

This 500 year old house is ideally situated in Tuscany and the Chianti region. It is a perfect place for day trips to other towns, for wine, tasting excursions, and for visiting Florence. The idyllic setting gives you a sense of country life in Italy, and the views from the patio and house are stunning. There are spectacular wineries within 5 to 10 minutes of the house. We found the house very comfortable and enjoyed our stay very very much. Rose and Pier couldn’t have been more helpful in planning our stay and excursions. We found through them fabulous restaurants, and wineries that we would not have discovered on our own. They were also incredibly responsive when we had questions. Our only confusion about the house was that the listing showed three bathrooms, but one was in the laundry room in a separate building . Just something to know. Thank you to Rose for a lovely vacation ! It was the perfect place to explore Tuscany from!

Our stay here was awesome. We were able to drop our luggage off at the apartment before check-in, and the location is great. 10 min walk from the train station, 10 min walk to Mercato Centrale. Plus, the hosts are lovely. I can see why the reviews for this place were so high. Definitely recommend staying here if you're coming to Florence.

We had a great time at this property. The entrance is gorgeous and very well decorated. The garden and swimming pool are very pleasant. The interior is as described and photographed. It may be missing some kitchen amenities like a kettle or dishwasher. Special mention for the owner who was adorable and always attentive. It's a really nice place.

A beautiful villa with lovely and airy views towards Massarosa, Viareggio and the sea. The photos show the house well, but it's only when you get to The Gargoyles that you really sense the size of the house. Very high under the roof, good rooms and lovely pool. Not much beats standing in the outdoor shower looking out over Massarosa. The outdoor area is very nice, but there will quickly be some sand in the house and in the pool. Well equipped kitchen. Both billiards and table tennis a plus. Bathroom for all bedrooms is convenient. We were two families who were here for over a week. The house is located perfectly for seeing a lot of this area. 20 minutes to Lucca, 25 to Pisa, 12 minutes to Viareggio with good eateries and lovely beach. Forte Dei Marmi, 1.5 hours to Florence and possibility of boat or train to Cinque Terre. A great starting point to experience a lot of Tuscany or just relax in this great house. Would love to go back here!

Everything was very clean and looked like in the pictures. Alessandra and her husband were very friendly and helpful and gave us great tips for activities.

Lorenzo was the kindest and sweetest host and this apartment is in the most perfect location to explore Florence. The entire place is absolutely beautiful and the bathrooms are modern and well appointed and the kitchen is perfectly stocked with anything you need including coffee :) Lorenzo went way out of his way to greet us and make sure we weee well taken care of from start to finish . Highly recommend!!!

Martina was so kind and helpful, she even gave us a brief tour of the apartment upon check in. She ensured we knew where everything was located and she has a binder of any information needed. We enjoyed the seating area in front for breakfast and coffee. We loved how close the apartment is from the train station so we could walk to and from to save us time and some money. The location is very walkable to many restaurants, shops and sights. We loved that there is a grocery store near by and also a "sight seeing bus" stop around the corner. We found the bedding comfortable and the apartment felt safe. Everything is very nice and ready for guests who may decide to have a meal in vs going out too.

Absolutely loved our stay here! It was close enough to walk to everything. The apartment has plenty of room to move around and relax after playing tourist all day. A lot of great restaurants and sights are just outside the door! Would stay here again anytime! Patrizia was the most wonderful host. She left so many great recommendations, and she welcomed us to the apartment with water, sparking wine, and snacks! She even called and scheduled our taxi pickup for the airport!
