Villa holiday rentals in Cumbria

This was a great house for 2 grand parents 4 parents and 5 very active children aged between 6 and 12. Location convenient for lakes and Morecambe. We regretted booking a big supermarket shop for the week with a good Tesco and Coop nearby as well as a super butchers and two bakeries. Being able to all eat together comfortably around the huge dining table was a real treat. Weather could have been better but without rain it would just be called The District with no lakes! Can recommend Morecombe beach, Grizedale Forest Centre and Lakeland Farm Park for day trips during a stay at Rockwood.

Just back from three nights and we had such a wonderful time. The property is in a great location with it being walking distance to bowness but also secluded. Kitchen amenities all great, excellent spec bathroom and very clean all round. We had a couple of questions which were answered very quickly. Highly recommend and we will be booking again.

Such a lovely place, had a nice girly weekend for my hen do with my bridesmaids and maid of honour and the hosts were really sweet. They were happy to co-ordinate with my maid of honour so the whole thing was a really nice surprise and it was overall really private and peaceful with such stunning views. Would highly recommend and think we will definitely be booking again 🤍

We had a wonderful stay at Beechwood. The pictures do not do it justice, the house is stunning with each room clean, spacious, and designed impeccably and tastefully. The house was well-equipped and our whole group especially loved the addition of the hot tub. The grounds and gardens are lovely with scenic woodland walks right on your doorstep. The location was great, with enough privacy to feel secluded but only a short walk to the high street. Nick was a great host; always attentive and super responsive. He generously offered flexible check-in and check-out times and was always on hand for any questions we had. I can’t recommend Nick’s place enough and our group will all definitely be back again soon!

Excellent property. Very clean and in a relaxing location. Very comfortable beds, modern and well appointed facilities. A most pleasant stay and we are looking forward to our return at Christmas.

Really brilliant place. Lovely house and great amenities. Really well stocked (unusual to have such good wine glasses!!). Well def use again!

We had a great stay. The house was in a beautiful location, right on the estuary. Plenty of beach for walking. Beds were comfy and ample linen and towels were provided plus a great welcome hamper. The games room provided hours of entertainment and the hot tub was lovely for relaxing in after a busy day. The nearby rock park/quarry was a really interesting day out. We also enjoyed a meal out at the King William IV in Kirksanton. Jenny was a great host and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We've stayed at other places in the past, but none have given off the positive vibes we experienced here. The care and attention given to the extensive grounds is truly exemplary, right down to the precise way the grass was mown. I never seem to get a good night's sleep except in my own bed, yet here I slept like a lamb for three nights straight! Great beds and luxurious bedding. Finally, the cherry on the cake has to be the privacy and tranquility.

This is a wonderful house for a large family gathering or group holiday. Stunning views over Morecambe Bay. Every need has been anticipated. Great selection of games and activities for all age groups. Jim is very communicative and helpful. I would highly recommend it and hope to go back for a longer stay.

We stayed here with our two young children for two nights, and we had a great time. A nice, peaceful site, which helped us to relax. The lodge had everything we needed and we would definitely return. Great location within easy reach of the castles and beaches.

Just had an amazing stay at Torrey Pines. Kris is a great host communication really good. Loved the position and lodge. Everything we needed. Have already booked again with Kris for next year disappointed we couldn’t get the same lodge but confident the lodge we have booked will be just as excellent !
