The perfect getaway. Stunning, peaceful property. Being welcomed by the sounds of the Guinea fowls and the rushing river made me so happy and calm. The accommodation itself was perfectly clean, homely, comfortable with absolutely everything we needed. The little touches like the lux bedding, the fresh milk and the torch by the door were great extras. And I really appreciated the close parking and the table and chairs sat by the river. Can't wait to return. Highly reccomend the host Madonna at The Granary. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

Perfect place for our needs for 3 nights away. Fantastic location for both shops/bars/restaurants and Jesmond Dene. We were able to walk into the city, along the quayside, and through Ouseburn via Heaton Park and Jesmond Dene back to the place. It’s a great walk and highly recommend it. Joanne is a great host. Perfect in terms of instructions for access, parking, and recommendations. The place is clean and cosy. What more can you ask for.

We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful flat, full of beautiful original features. It's so spacious and our kids loved staying in the castle! We had everything we needed and Caroline was great at keeping in touch. Many thanks Caroline!

Molly and Dean's s place was just perfect for my daughter and I - a beautiful, comfortable "home from home" place! We had everything we needed and the place was filled with lovely thoughtful items that we both really appreciated. The kitchen had all the necessities and the addition of tea/coffee/milk/bread/butter/jam/hot chocolate felt like a very lovely gesture. The location was just what I hoped for and we had a great time! Very friendly and helpful hosts,greeted us on arrival and explained everything to us. We were just blown away with the chapel,Lisa and her husband did an amazing job restoring the chapel,very cosey and warming equipped with everything you need. We wouldn't change a thing about the place,in our eyes it was flawless and restored with a great passion. There is very nice walks through the countryside and rivers,with plenty of restaurants, take aways,pubs around the next towns within walking distance. We will definately be coming back that's for sure. thank you 😊

Ellie’s place was the perfect place to stay - peaceful, spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved getting to meet the alpacas out the back too! Would highly recommend!

Lucy and Henry are exemplary hosts, who go above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable, well fed, (home-made bread was a special touch), and have everything that you might need. The bedrooms were of a very high standard, the huge range of tea/coffee/hot chocolate, plus truffles and biccy treats all added to the great sense of care. I cannot recommend this "Place to Be" strongly enough. Go for the hospitality, the luxurious bedroom touches, the views from the windows, the calm environment, the amazing local walks, the sea air, and go home feeling that you actually do not want to leave. I would also mention, and strongly recommend, booking a massage with Lucy. She is a very experienced and knowledgable therapist, who mended my own aches and pains with her incredible abilities. A Place To Be is a very special place, go and discover it yourself!

We had a wonderful stay. Very cosy and comfortable with beautiful views of the countryside and the many birds (including the rare western yellow wagtail) enjoying the feeders right outside the windows. Will definitely be back again.

Really lovely stay and we were made to feel very welcome not only from Lilia, but also from the locals, especially at the local pub! We were visiting for a friend’s wedding in Hayton and one of the locals offered to take us there the following day. The cottage was lovely and Lilia was an amazing host. Thank you!

We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay; everything that we needed was provided, and the location is very handy for the beautiful fishing port of Kirkcudbright.

Excellent couple days at Howee Inn. Perfect for a couple, very clean and everything you need. Lovely view from small patio across beautiful garden and to landscape beyond. Pam and husband very welcoming and were very helpful to us while we were visiting an elderly relative. Would definitely use again and highly recommend. Cross Keys pub short walk away and was perfect for the Saturday evening.

The place was lovely and cosy for the evening. The best part was actually the garden with the egg chair, the zen garden and the water feature. It was so relaxing I could have sat there all night. Would definitely stay again.

The location was ideal - away from the busy road nearby, making it private and quiet, but close enough that you could walk into town or to nearby restaurants. The space itself was clean, tidy, and had all the utensils and cutlery we needed for our stay. It felt very homely. Joanne was excellent at responding to messages, doing so in a very short time span and with a helpful, friendly attitude. Overall, our week was just what we needed - very relaxing and enjoyable. My second visit to Fern's accommodation. Ideal base for me when I visit family. Always comfortable.

Superb location and a lovely room. My only concern was that I did feel exposed with the large glass doors, but Hayley explained that they were coated and although I could see out, they couldn't see in. It was a great place to stay and very good value.

The best Airbnb experience ever. Pam and Keith are so friendly we felt like we were staying at a friend’s cottage in the countryside. If your friend were to have a beautiful, well appointed cottage in a serene setting of the Lake District that is. My wife and I had a great time touring around the lakes using the cottage as our base and were always happy to come back after a day of hiking and exploring. I can’t overstate how nice Pam and Keith are and we would love to go back again. Only downside was the narrow, twisting and turning roads that took some getting used to for this American driver, but is part and parcel of this less touristy area of the Lake District.

Beautiful location, with lovely views. Perfectly positioned and easy access by foot to the lake and village. Excellent!

We stopped at Marj’s place on the way back home from Scotland. It was very handy for the motorway but was also very peaceful on Marj’s farm. The Cow Shed was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Fortunately the cows were not in residence!. Far from it is. The place was spotless with lots of extras. Marj was very welcoming and we got to meet the farms residents including emu!

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Crystal and Andy’s place, it had everything we could need We got out into the wonderful surrounding countryside each day and enjoyed discovering new places. With lots of other places we would like to explore on future trips to the area. Crystal, Andy, Reuben and Delancey were very friendly and helpful. It was lovely to see and hear the children playing and enjoying the sunny weather And thanks for the wonderful banana bread

We had a lovely stay at "The Byre". The location is very peaceful, cottage is well equipped with high quality items and beautifully decorated. I can't remember when I slept that well. We would love to come back in the future. Thx for having us.

Enjoyed our stay here. Was great having our own space, felt like home from home. Everything was catered for including a treat for my dog. The flat was very clean and tidy. Ian and Lois were very helpful hosts available whenever to answer any questions we had, would highly recommend if looking for a place to stay in the area.

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay in this oldie worldie, unusual, full of character, spotless, home from home. Wonderfully squidgy couches to sink into, extremely comfortable beds, probably one of the best equipped kitchens we have had the privilege of using in all of the Airbnb's we have stayed in. One of the first things I look for when searching for a place to stay is the size of the beds then the cleanliness, then the reviews in general - Corrie didn't disappoint. Fabulously comfortable king size beds, snowy white linen (yes I am fussy) The home gave you a cuddle! A wonderfully peaceful place to unwind, chill out and relax. Andy was a through gentleman who was amusing, informative with great ideas of where to go what to do. He was always there but totally unobtrusive. Would I recommend Corrie? A positive 101%. If we are ever in the area again this will be first on the list of our bookings. Thank you Andy for a great stay.

Had an absolute amazing stay at The Birches. Ailsa is such a perfect host. Nothing is too much for her. She goes above and beyond to make your stay the best 😊 The cleanliness, freshness and comfort of The Birches had the wow factor. My granddaughter enjoyed the Hot Tub and the beautiful home-made lemon cake Ailsa brought us fresh from the oven, her mum and I enjoyed the bottle of Prosecco. Fresh roses 🌹 dotted around the rooms was a beautiful touch. Well equipped kitchen, spacious rooms, beds so comfortable. I could go on and on, but just check this place out and you will definitely not be disappointed 😊 Thank you Ailsa for everything We will be back. 🥰
