Island holiday rentals in The Bahamas

Shorebreak was as described in the listing and then some. The way things were setup such as propane tank for gas, water reservoir for running water, solar panels for electricity and Starlink Internet truly made it feel like an off grid stay with all the necessary amenities. Getting to the house requires some off roading so make sure you rent an SUV or off road capable vehicle. The only regret I have from this property is that while images show a small private beach, our group was unable to access the beach due to dangerous rocks on the way down. Otherwise everything was great!

We loved our week at Serendipity! The view from the porch is gorgeous, the interior was comfy and cozy and had everything you needed. The location is central to the island, and the stairs into the ocean were awesome. We hope to be back soon!

This place is absolutely fantastic. The garden has access to a gorgeous beach which is basically deserted any time of the day. The house is big and very comfy. The only thing missing is a washing machine for the clothes (which can be a bit complicated especially when you travel with a baby) Otherwise our 2 weeks stay have been a dream and Rick has been really reactive to any questions we had. Another great thing is a big notebook with all the tips and adresses at disposal in the house. You have everything in it and certainly don’t need anything else to explore the island.

This place is absolutely stunning. The owner is incredibly friendly, the rooms are spotless and well-equipped, and the beach is right in front of the apartments. There are also beautiful cabanas overlooking the ocean, which made for the perfect spot to relax and watch the sunrise. What we loved most, though, was how peaceful and remote the location is - there are very few tourists in the area. We often walked along the beach for an hour without seeing another person.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was well stocked and included many kitchen utensils we wouldn’t have expected and other finds such as a beach bag and even ice packs. There was even a loaf of fresh local bread provided which was delicious. The location was perfect and we enjoyed the space both inside and out. The only complaint was that we wished we would’ve been able to stay longer. Our group would recommend the stay.

This was by far the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. Bev and Jim were great with communication and the Caretakers Stephanie and Randy went over and above to make our stay amazing. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen was well stocked, with all the pots pans knives and utensils you could need. I cannot say enough great things about our stay. Will definitely be going back and will definitely be staying at Lillian's Bungalows!

We had a great stay at Rainbow house. Bedroom set ups were perfect for our guests. Great location at Stella Maris, close to the airport and we were able to explore the island.

Sundance is paradise! The beach is awesome and a very short walk to the beach. The house was perfect for the us which we traveled with another couple. It had two master bedrooms with queen beds and 2 master bathrooms on separate ends of the house. Each bedroom had a French door that opens to the beach. You can literally open the doors lay in your bed and listen to the waves. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. Leslie was very helpful.

This was a last minute Anniversary trip. The cottage, as I like to describe it was amazing. From the stunning sunrises as you are waking to the sounds of the waves in the evenings. Noreen has thought of everything. The amenities are boundless. Anything you need is right there from glass and dinnerware, to snorkel gear, beach chairs, towels, etc. The location is remote, but you are just down the road from French Leave Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The bedding was by far the most comforatable we have experienced. This is the most romantic spot!!

This was our third trip to the island, and by far, the best stay we've had! Cat was incredibly responsive and provided great insights. The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The king-size bed was a treat and we loved watching the hermit crabs and lizards roam around daily. The beach was peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. We enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling, both of which were fantastic. Power outages were minimal (to be expected on the island), and while water pressure on cisterns can be a bit low, it's nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, we had a perfect week in our favorite place and would highly recommend this property!

My husband and I love Exuma and Lilium Villa’s. We have stayed many times and always look forward to coming back…always very clean, comfortable, our favorite location on the island, cold A/C when needed, hot shower, gorgeous water views, privacy, easy on the budget and the most wonderful host Demetri(and family) will make sure you enjoy your stay. We look forward to returning in July:)

Our stay at Shangri-la was perfect! The house is lovely, clean and had everything you’d need. The screened in porch is perfect to listen to the waves and drink coffee in the morning or have dinner in the evenings. Our daughter loved playing in the sand. You really could just stay at the house and never leave! Crystal was extremely responsive and by complete chance we ran into the owner. She was lovely as well! We love Exuma, this was our second time coming to the island and we’d easily book the Shangri-la again! Thanks for the memories!

10/10 island life! Our stay at Bowe Cay was nothing short of spectacular. A perfect family escape to unwind and reconnect. The island is just the right blend of comfort and untouched natural beauty—completely private, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning waters. The main house and bungalows were spotless, spacious, and well-equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning, hot showers, and Wifi all while maintaining a cozy island feel. Ryan was fantastic to communicate with before our trip. Always quick to respond and incredibly helpful with all our questions. One of the highlights of our experience was Sam, our boat driver and guide. He was warm, welcoming, and full of local knowledge that made our time on the island even more special. He helped us get oriented, pointed out the best spots to explore, and made the boat rides feel like part of the adventure. Having access to the kayaks made island exploring even more fantastic! Thanks for hosting us Ryan, can't wait to come back!

The Point at Cutlass Bay is an absolute dream! I can't wait to return. The house is fantastic, and the views are just incredible, beyond words. We were very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. We loved the local recommendations, and driving along the one main road of Cat Island to stop at all the beaches. We highly recommend stopping at the Hermitage, and making the trek to Shanna's in the North. As a Bahamian who grew up on Bahamian beaches, this is the most beautiful!

Where to start… this place is truly special. If you’re looking for a fancy resort this isn’t it, but if you want your own private insane white/pink sandy beach, local charm, and serenity this is your vacation. We were there 6 nights and saw one other person on the beach the entire time. We walked on the private beach 2 miles every morning followed by a swim in the ocean and a shower in the outdoor shower loaded with local shampoo and body wash made by a teacher on the island. We walked to pascals and had dinner and hung out with Sammy, and searched for other beaches only to realize ours was the best. It rained and we played cards inside our romantic cottage and listened to the waves. This is a special place and we will be back.

The house and property: Peaceful. Pristine. Private. The host: Friendly. Knowledgeable. Responsive. Our family had a wonderful time at House Marlin! Cathy is a friendly, responsive, knowledgeable host. Check-in was easy. The house is clean and had all the amenities our family needed. We were steps from the beach and our kids loved the pool.

We had a truly wonderful time at Bill’s place. Bill met us at the house and gave us a tour . He is a very charming and knowledgeable host. The property is actually better than described and had everything that you could wish for. The house was spotless with very comfortable king size bed in the master bedroom and many lovely towels in the bathroom, which is a change from some of the Airbnbs we have stayed in previously. The views from the wrap around deck were stunning. We wholeheartedly recommend Bill’s place for anyone wishing to explore beautiful Long Island.

Our trip at Nature's Delight in Crooked island was exceptional. The neighborhood was as described; "sparsely populated and very quiet"! This was to our liking. We enjoyed trips to the beach and quiet time on the verandah. Our hang out was mostly at the restaurant on site, which became our "watering hole" Barbara and Dave, the owners, were very accommodating and entertaining. The meals prepared were scrumptious and had that island flare! Here we met members of the community like Simon and Devanno who were truly entertaining. We also met the island's Administrator and the Chief Councillor of Acklins, a nearby island. The accommodations were clean and tidy. Covid regulations; social distancing and disinfecting, were practiced all around us. Dave took us on a fishing trip, and we were able to enjoy our catch for dinner. Can't wait to visit Crooked Island and Nature's Delight again!

Centrally located to both the north and south ends of the island. Close to the primary gas station and food store. Great view of both the Atlantic and Caribbean sea.

If you're looking for a Bahamas getaway, you've found it at Kestrel Cottage. The space is fresh, clean and inviting, and the hosts are very friendly. You'll have everything you need to relax and be comfortable in this charming beach villa. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with equipment and cooking essentials. Lots of fresh towels and linens. The views and breeze are amazing. Walk down to the dock for a swim in the ocean and enjoy a refreshing outside shower afterward. A short walk to Pete’s Pub & Gallery, or utilize one of the kayaks to paddle over. Dock your boat right out your backdoor to easily explore the rest of the Abaco Islands. We’ll definitely be back!

Tim and Michelle were wonderful and always available. We had a very peaceful and rejuvenating vacation which is exactly what we all needed. The home and location was perfect! We really enjoyed having coffee in the morning on the porch and falling asleep to the sound of the waves! Thank you so much for opening your home to us.

The place was very nice. The pool was the best part. The beach is gorgeous as all beaches are in Eleuthera. I thought there would be a path to the beach without going across the street but you also could drive about two minutes. That was the best way to go. Everything about the house is very good. It was a relaxing vacation.
