Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Jaco

Overall great stay and comfortable for our group. However some cautionary items to be aware of. The driveway to reach to the top of the property is quite steep, and in the rain the car skidded and wouldn’t get to the top of the hill. Need to have a vehicle if you’re going in and out with luggage. Good bit of wildlife you will encounter in the rooms and bathroom. There is only a hot water heater in the main bathroom.

This place was amazing! We have stayed in hermosa many times and love the area. This trip we traveled with 6 couples and a few kids and had plenty of space. The open area common area is big enough for everyone and having the pool was amazing. We truly appreciated the daily maid service and the recommendation for a private chef was incredible. Liza cooked us 5 breakfasts and 3 dinners and all were spectacular, on time, and had plenty of food for everyone (always had leftovers). Not having to waste time grocery shopping or doing dishes was a huge plus! For anyone who may book her just a heads up that the expectation is to pay for groceries after each meal (she provides receipt) and then you’ll pay the service charge at the last meal (it’s very reasonable). It was a little tough for us to communicate so took us some time to put that info together. Figured it’d help someone else! 10000% want to come back and stay here.

El alojamiento fué increíble. Muy limpio, espacioso, con un menaje bastante amplio, una piscina y terraza grande. La casa de Maud tiene por otro lado una energía muy sobresaliente, cada rincón tiene una bonita energía que no dan ganas de salir de ella.

This was the absolute perfect home base to explore this part of Costa Rica. The house was stunning, exactly like photos and descriptions. Pool area was an unbeatable oasis and we did get lots of monkey visits! Comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms with great water temp and pressure, stocked kitchen and awesome patio space for meals and hangouts. Corner store literally at the end of our driveway was so convenient. Laura the concierge was amazing, so responsive, helpful friendly! I couldn’t be happier with the experience and will be recommending Matthew’s place to anyone I know visiting the area. I would absolutely stay here again and hope I’m able to return soon!

The house and property were as described and expected and we were extremely happy with our stay! We were specifically looking for something outside of the typical tourist spots and Gary’s place did not disappoint. Gary specifically stated that the mosquito population at his house was low and he was absolutely right! Just a few tips and recommendations for other potential visitors. - The kayaks must be taken down the hill to the beach for each use for security reasons. We hesitated to use them until our last day for this reason but we wish we hadn’t. Gary made it very easy and he took them down on his car. It’s an easy paddle to some snorkeling and nice beach areas. You can avoid paying for parking and hauling gear. - there is a public road between the pool area and beach where locals like to park and hang out. Shrubbery gives visual privacy but you may hear music. This did not detract from our stay. Overall we absolutely recommend this house to others.

Clean house in a very nice condo

I stayed at Ana Milena’s place from Sunday to Thursday, and it was truly enjoyable and comfortable. The place is amazing beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. Everything was just as described, and I felt right at home. I had a great time and would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

Wow!!! A perfect stay ! Beyond Expectations! I had an absolutely amazing time at this Airbnb! From the moment I arrived, Yuri was there to help for a smooth check in process. Everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as pictured (if not better). That view in photos is a must see in person because WOW!! The host Yuri went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome—super responsive, friendly, and thoughtful with all the little touches that made a big difference. The location was ideal—quiet, safe, and close to everything I needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I slept like a dream. Every detail, from the well-stocked kitchen to the cozy living area, and laundry room set up showed real care and quality. I honestly didn’t want to leave and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and memorable stay. Thank you Yuri & Pura Vida !!

Shawn is a great host, very communicative, helpful, and accommodating. It was a nice little condo; my wife and I love that complex. It is well kept up, in a good part of town and close to the beach. The guards and cleaning staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying and we will definitely be going back!

It was a great place to stay and relax. Luisa did everything on spot and things went very well. I have been to Jaco beach many times in last 20 years plus, but this stay was one of the nicest. It is comfy and we stayed there more than we should have. Only one small issue was that the apartment does not have oven toaster....Needed to toast the bread by other means!

I had a wonderful time at Tanya's place. It was quiet, safe and only a few blocks from the beach. Good proximity to many places to eat and local hot spots. Tanya was very responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Diego’s place was beautiful and exactly as pictured. The space was very clean, well decorated, beds & pillows were comfortable, the AC was amazing and the pool was just outside the front door. There was also a washer/dryer and they included the detergent which was a nice touch. Diego was super responsive and friendly. We initially had an issue with not having hot water but we reached out and we figured out how to use it properly. As 3 girls traveling, we felt very safe there with the 24 hour security (guards were so nice). After a busy & adventure filled week in La Fortuna, it was nice oasis to wind down and relax in. It’s close to the beach (3 min drive or 12 min walk). There’s a great little restaurant across the street (Soda Garabrito), as well as a mini mart and ice cream shop (Pops). On the main street on the beach there are tons of food/bar options and a cute shopping area at Jacó Walk. We had a great dinner at Lemon Zest (get the guacamole with chicharrones)! Awesome stay!

Apartamento muy bello y moderno , decorado con muy buen gusto .Con una vista estupenda a Playa Blanca .Doña Marcela fue una exelente anfitriona con mucha experiencia que te orienta en cada momento, en resumen un lugar fantástico y divertido para pasar relajado con la naturaleza!

Josephine communicated clearly and timely. The condo met my family's need. We needed a place to relax after some days of intense hikes in other regions. The pool was lovely and right outside our door. We watched surfers on the beach though the rough waters and rocky beach did not avail sun-soaking or swimming.

We stayed with my family of four for five nights and the apartment was as comfortable as expected. It is located in a very secure condominium steps from the main road. Some of the bonuses of the place are in suite laundry, beach chairs and one beach umbrella. The pool was also very enjoyable. Fiorella was also very responsive when we asked for beach towels. Just a couple of minor things to consider: there are not much cabinet storage at the kitchen. Also to be mindful that the smaller room does not have a window but a skylight that lacks blinds (it gets very bright very early in the morning). All in all, we definitely recommend Fiorella’s place.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. It was a pleasure to be able to come and have a little fun well we wait to close on our house. The home was clean, and neat. Well stocked, and loved that it had a washer and dryer. Would stay again.

The host, Eric, had everything laid out super early on checking in information. The place was easy to find, safe entry way, elevator, and keyless entry. Very responsive does matter the hour of the day. A storm issues knocked out water messaged him it was resolved in minutes. Suggested restaurants nearby for the time of day. Shared information about the area. Parking is available it is gated and secured if car rental is your option. The location is 1 and half or less from SJO (Uber. $122 est) easy to come in but have tip leaving out cause they will decline trip if you don’t have at least $20 cash due to tolls cost and distance. Location was perfect away from strip of restaurants, casinos, local shops, and excursions. I would wait to book excursions off the Avenida Pastor Díaz save deposits for ATV rental or excursions vs Viator website. Food suggestions: Local Grill, Sunrise Brunch, El Manglar all amazing foods

This is a great place in the best white sand beach playa Blanca. We had wonderful time with family of 4. Host is one of the best, from the time she received us and took us around the resort club to all the fruits water wine coffee she stocked for us is amazing. It was wonderful overall. Don’t think just book it to connect with nature.
