Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Jaco

Overall great stay and comfortable for our group. However some cautionary items to be aware of. The driveway to reach to the top of the property is quite steep, and in the rain the car skidded and wouldn’t get to the top of the hill. Need to have a vehicle if you’re going in and out with luggage. Good bit of wildlife you will encounter in the rooms and bathroom. There is only a hot water heater in the main bathroom.

We needed a place in a pinch and Brian responded to us within minutes. He was incredibly helpful and prompt and really set us up wonderfully. The place was perfect - in a beautiful and safe gated community and right next to the gorgeous pool. I’d 100% stay here again if we ever got the opportunity. Thanks Brian - you were tremendous!

We had an amazing stay at the home. Maud was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Great local recommendations and even helped booked a reservation for my wife’s birthday dinner. We hired Chef Ezequiel to make lunch the first there. This place was a gem. It felt like we had a concierge on speed dial — every question, ride, activity, or last-minute request was answered like magic. Woke up every morning to the sound of nature and unreal views — not a bad way to start the day. The house was tucked just far enough from the beach to feel private, but close enough that getting there was a 2-minute breeze. Spotless, well-designed, and just had a great vibe. Would 1000% come back — already missing it.

We had the best stay at Val and Oscar’s home. Our group had 1 family in the upstairs apartment and the other family in the downstairs apartment, and it was such a great arrangement for our group. The apartments were both beautiful and comfortable, and we absolutely loved the outdoor space. The kids loved the pool and we layed out in the hammocks and watched scarlet macaws fly by. We would love to come back again someday. Highly recommend!

The house and property were as described and expected and we were extremely happy with our stay! We were specifically looking for something outside of the typical tourist spots and Gary’s place did not disappoint. Gary specifically stated that the mosquito population at his house was low and he was absolutely right! Just a few tips and recommendations for other potential visitors. - The kayaks must be taken down the hill to the beach for each use for security reasons. We hesitated to use them until our last day for this reason but we wish we hadn’t. Gary made it very easy and he took them down on his car. It’s an easy paddle to some snorkeling and nice beach areas. You can avoid paying for parking and hauling gear. - there is a public road between the pool area and beach where locals like to park and hang out. Shrubbery gives visual privacy but you may hear music. This did not detract from our stay. Overall we absolutely recommend this house to others.

Excellent stay, everything was very nice. Only the guards at the main entrance were very slow and it seemed that they did not communicate with each other, it was the only uncomfortable thing

Beautiful, private and very pleasant.

Very responsive host. Easy checkin. One of the best features is you do not have to worry about your car at all. It is in a private gated community with a 24/7 guard. It is not right in the center of Jaco where all the loud and noisy bars are but it’s close enough to easily walk to them if you wanted to. Right across the street is a liquor store and there is also a coffee shop in the same block. A grocery store as well. Very well located.

Excellent accommodation, very well equipped, quite comfortable, in it we found everything we need during our stay, highly recommended.

Shawn is a great host, very communicative, helpful, and accommodating. It was a nice little condo; my wife and I love that complex. It is well kept up, in a good part of town and close to the beach. The guards and cleaning staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying and we will definitely be going back!

The accommodations exceeded my expectations

Everything is very clean and cozy, very quiet and with many green areas. Excellent for sharing with the family.

This condo was exceptionally clean with a beautiful view. It was a very brief walk to the Main Street. Everything was literally five minute walk. They are picky with who they host (with good reason) because of how pristine it is. Thank you :)

Very good, a little maintenance and extra cleaning is needed, but in general very good.

Diego’s place was beautiful and exactly as pictured. The space was very clean, well decorated, beds & pillows were comfortable, the AC was amazing and the pool was just outside the front door. There was also a washer/dryer and they included the detergent which was a nice touch. Diego was super responsive and friendly. We initially had an issue with not having hot water but we reached out and we figured out how to use it properly. As 3 girls traveling, we felt very safe there with the 24 hour security (guards were so nice). After a busy & adventure filled week in La Fortuna, it was nice oasis to wind down and relax in. It’s close to the beach (3 min drive or 12 min walk). There’s a great little restaurant across the street (Soda Garabrito), as well as a mini mart and ice cream shop (Pops). On the main street on the beach there are tons of food/bar options and a cute shopping area at Jacó Walk. We had a great dinner at Lemon Zest (get the guacamole with chicharrones)! Awesome stay!

Beautiful apartment, well equipped. Great location with access to the beach, a great view and friendly and helpful host. Will be back!

My family and I were very happy with this beautiful unit, everything was in perfect condition. Its location is excellent so close to everything. We recommend them 100% ☺️

We stayed with my family of four for five nights and the apartment was as comfortable as expected. It is located in a very secure condominium steps from the main road. Some of the bonuses of the place are in suite laundry, beach chairs and one beach umbrella. The pool was also very enjoyable. Fiorella was also very responsive when we asked for beach towels. Just a couple of minor things to consider: there are not much cabinet storage at the kitchen. Also to be mindful that the smaller room does not have a window but a skylight that lacks blinds (it gets very bright very early in the morning). All in all, we definitely recommend Fiorella’s place.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. It was a pleasure to be able to come and have a little fun well we wait to close on our house. The home was clean, and neat. Well stocked, and loved that it had a washer and dryer. Would stay again.

Very nice condo. We appreciated the fact that it was very quiet. The host was terrific and always responsive. I wish there were more restaurants or markets within walking distance it is on the fourth floor so if you are like me and don’t like elevators it’s a nice little hike upstairs. However it has a nice ocean view and was with the money. The washer and dryer was very helpful. We would definitely come back again. Thanks Eric.
