“We just got back last night from staying in the villa. The house was awesome and in prime location! It was close enough to Quepos and Manuel Antonio, but far enough that we felt secluded in the jungle. The pool is perfect for extremely hot days. There is a grill that we used for dinner one night. Let's start with the wildlife....monkeys, toucans, anteaters, macaws, tons of other tropical bird, and a SLOTH (way closer than anything we saw at Manuel Antonio), and constant wildlife. We went out on daily excursions but saw more wildlife in our own yard sitting on the patio. The house is beautiful and clean. Even when you are inside, you feel like you are outside because there are so many windows that leave you gazing in the jungle. We got in really late and Nuria was there to greet us. She checked in with us daily and suggested some local activities for us to do. From cab rides, groceries, and last minute excursions she took care of us. Karen was our initial contact who helped us set up excursions, transportation, and a private chef. There was a maid who came daily and she is so sweet. She did our laundry and kept the house in tip top shape. If you need groceries delivered it is only a few dollars and they show up within a half hour! Getting around town was really easy. We are big walkers so we had no problem walking down the hill and across the street down another hill right into Quepos. We did this almost daily, it is hike back up but we didn't mind. It was not even one mile until you reach the town, but if you don't enjoy hiking hop in a cab. There is a bus stop right at the bottom of the first hill and the bus rides are cheap ($0.65 a ride) and you can go back and forth to Manuel Antonio. There are restaurants nearby a pretty short walk from the house. El Arado is a short walk down the hill and it was fantastic, both the food and service. We suggest visiting during happy hour (4-7). If you are a coffee drinker Cafe Milagro has great coffee and we love the baristas. It is right across the street from the ocean and boardwalk on the main roads. We truly loved the house it was way better than staying in a hotel. Bring a flashlight to see the critters that come out at night!”
