Oceanfront Oasis: beach, private pool, AC & jungle

AmandaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
If I could give Sarah and her place 5+ stars I would. While her place is off the beaten path, she makes it so easy to find, enter and relax. I have nothing but positive things to say. She has thought of everything, 7 steps ahead; from the guest book digitally and in person, local contacts for boat trips, meals and more! Her communication is superb, always checking in, she answers the crazies of questions with patients and grace. I mentioned it was my dad’s 70th birthday trip and when we arrived she had a birthday basket and HBD message with his name hand painted on local wood. WOW just WOW! Her place is top notch, the best I’ve ever stayed. She made this trip ultra special and I’m forever grateful. Customer service is King (Queen) and she is the Queen. If things ran like she runs her BnB all would been good in the world. Companies should take note. PS I’ve already booked my second trip with her. PPS Usually I try to avoid ABnBs but I will always make an exception for her and her place.

AsiaTica Tropical Forest Lodge Volcano View

ElizabethRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Jen and Franz , we're AMAZING host ! They offered us more than a Airbnb but helped make our experience in Costa Rica one to remember. The Airbnb had a beautiful view 😍 ❤️ , the photos don't do it justice. They were very helpful getting settled in and provided additional items that were very helpful during our stay. The included breakfast was truly a fine dining experience with everything being so fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The location was about 30 minutes away from La Fortuna if you don't mind the drive. The El Castillo is beautiful itself and a little less crowded which we liked. I would highly recommend staying here if you are wanting a beautiful view and away from the tourist area.

Pure View Villa private ocean view pool home

JodyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
First off, Mo is amazing—always available, super helpful, and just a great guy all around. He had suggestions for everything we needed. The road in is steep but manageable. A 4x4 is recommended (and worth having in Costa Rica anyway for exploring) We spent two weeks here and didn’t want to leave. Our favorite part of each day was waking up early with coffee and the sounds of the birds. We saw Yellow-throated Toucans, Fiery-billed Aracaris, Scarlet Macaws, Motmots, Parrots, and Parakeets to name a few—best birdwatching is 5–8 a.m. The house is fantastic, very well-stocked (including spices, coffee and more), with great outdoor space and a perfect breeze. We never needed the A/C. The cross breeze through the house is perfectly designed. This is hands down the best place we’ve stayed in Costa Rica. You’ll be blown away when you arrive. Huge thanks to Brendon and Mo, we’ll definitely be back! I really can’t say enough great things about this house. Book it now you will not regret it!

Ocean View, Samara/Nosara views, Casita 1, Wifi

CameronRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed at Sal Vida Casita 1 for our honeymoon. Krista and Guido were excellent hosts very responsive and gave great local recommendations. The locals on the mountain are so kind and willing to share their livliehood. A great place to immerse in the culture and the beach and tourist areas are not far. The casita is surrounded by beautiful, peaceful private view, very clean and was a percect place for our 7day stay. Only one thing to note **The drive up the mountain is INTENSE especially the first time up. Allow atleast 25-30 minutes travel time up and down the mountain and an added 30-50 drive to get into nearest towns. You WILL need a 4x4 vehicle to get up, if a truck or jeep is avaliable do that. We had a midsize suv 4x4 and we were able to get up and down but a truck/jeep would have made a difference. The drive is well worth it once up and down but just be aware it is a long way up dirt roads.** The pool is a community pool but we were the only ones there and it was very clean.

Secret Bungalows Lechu (Bungalow 2)

Our stay in La Fortuna was absolutely magical. The cabin is tucked away in a beautifully landscaped paradise, full of vibrant birds, frogs, and lush greenery. Everything about the space felt romantic and peaceful—from the cozy, comfortable bed and cool A/C to the dreamy outdoor shower and stunning hot tub surrounded by nature. The thoughtful touches like snacks, wine, and personalized details made us feel so welcomed. Communication with the host was excellent, and the entire stay was quiet, private, and incredibly relaxing. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway!

Pond House @ White Noise - Adults Retreat

SaladineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Jenn and Danny were AMAZING host's and the pond house was an amazing sanctuary. Perfect for a nice getaway from crazy city life. The inside is perfectly situated and intimate. Its locked behind a giant gate so security isnt even a thought. the river is just a walk away. Jenn and Danny are super friendly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and beaches. Will definitely revisit when im in Costa Rica.

Santa Teresa Casita Ocean View Pool Sunsets

LisaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an amazing time staying here. It’s just the right amount of remote, super peaceful and surrounded by nature, but still close to everything you want to do. Honestly, it was more than we could’ve wished for. The place itself is beautiful, with jungle all around, constant sounds of birds and animals, and an incredible view. Will was an awesome host. Being a local, he gave us the best tips – where to surf, great places to eat, and even where to get the freshest fish (or catch it yourself!). As others have said, you’ll definitely need a quad or a car to get there because the road is bumpy. But honestly, that just added to the fun and you should get one anyway for the best CR experience. When we visit Santa Teresa again we would definitely stay here again. Totally recommend it to anyone!
