Night Walking Tour & Special Dinner
Immerse yourself in the culture and history of the city. Explore San Jose by Night, complete with local markets, cultural icons, and a tasty dinner with wine! Starting with the Central Market, which, in our opinion, is the only way to learn about the city’s food (aside from eating it, which we’ll get to). Stroll the market with your local guide and get to know the secrets, uses of the roots, herbs, and fruit common in local cuisines, including ingredients that will play a role in your authentic Costa Rican dinner later. The locals say that you can get anything you need at the Central Market, even love potions for attracting a boyfriend or girlfriend. After the market, we’ll make our way down Central Avenue, learning about the city’s history and anecdotes, as well as visiting one of the most architecturally beautiful buildings in San Jose, the National Theatre. From there, our appreciation for San Jose’s historical architecture continues, with a walk through Morazán Park and we will visit the Coffee House to make el Morenito, one delicious cocktail and try Chiliguaro. We’ll continue to charm Barrio Amon, one the oldest neighborhoods we’ll be spending the rest of the evening at a favorite restaurant that specializes in wine and gourmet food. This cozy establishment offers the best in Costa Rican cuisine a unique space that offers art, culture, history as well as fine dining.

San Jose Walking Tour
“The best way to start or end your trip in Costa Rica.” If you want to get to know San Jose thoroughly and taste its flavors, see its unique architecture and get to know its history, this is the tour you are looking for! The plan is to show you around the city and walk around, talk and have coffee as if we've been friends for a long time. We will leave from the Steinvorth Building to the birthplace of the New Villa of the Boca del Monte de San Joseph (colonial name of the current Costa Rican capital), to walk through historical points and transcendent places of facts for our country. It is a route based on details, history, anecdotes, corners little known by the tourist, complemented by the entrance to heritage buildings and public and private spaces, such as museums, squares, cafes, galleries, among others. Ideal for photographing and being able to walk around the city and identify its main points, bus stops, shops, markets and everything you need to move around San José. In two and a half hours we'll give you a perspective that few can give you and that will show you why San José was a great city and because it was called "Little Paris." Even when it rains, we'll have a tour. We will go through San Jose, through some areas of its four historic districts (Carmen, Merced, Hospital and Cathedral).

La Leona Waterfall Hike
*** FREE roundtrip transportation provided from Curubande downtown to the Waterfall *** Let us know if you need transportation and we can quote you the service with a local driver from town. Our day starts by meeting at our office located 20 min away from Liberia downtown through the small villages of Colorado and Curubande. We have a private parking lot at our office in Curubande where you can leave your car safe while we do the hike. From Curubande we will take a 4WD for 1 km that will take us to the entrance of the waterfall trail and here is where the hike begins. The waterfall is well hidden away on the outskirts of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano . The trail is 1.3 Miles (2 Kilometers) singletrack so together it is 4 km. There are some climbing to do in elevation and some caves to go across. Later to reach the waterfall we have to swim 25 meters through a beautiful turquoise river canyon. This is a local experience that takes place where the Blanco and the Colorado rivers cross through, forming canyons and beautiful scenery which is why the water in their pools have that special turquoise tint.
A city of Nature, Sloths, birds and botany
We will explore the hidden ecosystem resting inside the campus of the first public university in the country. Many times we will try some wild berries and smell all sorts of barks and flowers. We'll be talking about art, history, indigenous culture, and most of all, nature. This is a full senses experience so you will get to see, touch, smell, taste, and listen to nature thriving amidst our country's biggest city. *** From May to November we recommend booking on the morning slot due to rainy afternoons, however, the afternoons are also great DISCLAIMER: This is not a Recue Center or Sloth Sactuary Tour. You will not be able to touch them, if found, the sloths will be seen in their natural habitat, which means most of the times they will be sleeping on thee trees. As the night grows dark, we'll step into our comfortable kayaks and get ready for a personal encounter with this remarkable phenomenon. Come a bit early to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the bay and a nice cup of Costa Rican coffee, juice, and some snacks. You'll get a briefing, a suitable life jacket, before we go to the launch area for the kayaks. It will be like going on a cozy family tour, as the maximum group size is 10 people.
