Holiday rentals with lake access in Bergen

We stayed at Rosemarie's place over New Year's Eve for 4 nights with a total of 5 people (4 adults and 1 child). It was just as beautiful as it was described. The sauna is just perfect in size for 4 people and was also used by us. The large kitchen is simply a dream. You can have conversations with other people while cooking. The location is a quiet residential area. The two cats that belong to the house were with us almost all the time during the day. They are very sweet. We also looked after the 4 rabbits daily. Our child felt totally comfortable with the animals around him. Around the house are canals where you could fish. The property is really big and great for children to let off steam as everything is available. The house also has everything you need. We were completely satisfied and would like to go there again.

The house was 2 canals away from the centre of Alkmaar. It was situated in a nice safe neighbourhood. The house was clean and Paul helped with the reservation issues I had.

We had a lovely and very relaxing stay in this super nice, individual bungalow. The kitchen is not only visually great, it is also well equipped. Despite the park, you have your privacy, the garden is completely overgrown and fenced. We will definitely be happy to come back, very clear 10 out of 10!

Roy's house is situated in a quiet local area, offering a peaceful environment. From the house, it's easy to reach Zaanse Schans or the A10 highway within 5 minutes. The A10 provides convenient access to Amsterdam Noord, which can be reached in 15-20 minutes. We parked our car at P+R Noord, from where we used a GVB day ticket (9 Euros) for our travels within Amsterdam. Parking at P+R Noord is just 6 Euros per day when you arrive after 10:00 am by validating with a GVB day ticket. Roy's house was exceptionally clean and well-equipped, especially with numerous toys that our children loved. Roy was friendly, helpful, and always quick to respond to our questions. We were very happy with our stay at Roy's house and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Uncomplicated check-in. Sufficiently equipped house with garden on a small canal in a quiet residential area. Everything was perfectly clean. We didn't miss anything. Many supermarkets and a large shopping center were nearby. The host Reinier always answered questions quickly, very nice and friendly. We did a lot: hiked in the dunes around Schoorl and Bergen, visited beaches in Egmond and Bergen (about 30 min. by car), Amsterdam (50 min., definitely reserve a parking space for €10-25 online a few days in advance at the Parking Centrum Oosterdok), The Hague (Louwman Automuseum, Binnenhof), mills in Zaanse Schans, Fort Kijkduin with aquarium in Den Helder, cheese market in Alkmaar. We only missed having our own bicycles, the bike paths are endless here, you could ride to the beach. We were 5 people and unfortunately had no way to take them with our car. But you can rent some. There are even providers who deliver them to the front door.

We had a great stay, beautiful setting close to the train station. Well-equipped. Bonus view of the hens, cows, swans and hares. Thanks, we'll be back

The lake house is beautifully situated in the park . The amenities leave nothing to be desired . It was so clean and welcoming that we immediately felt comfortable. We will come back to this house very much.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly what we needed , clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. They really made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Sabine and Sander’s place. The location is ideal - very walkable to everything and close to multiple buses. They had many pans to use and a five burner stove, so cooking was easy. It was very quiet and peaceful. We miss it already!

I can't say enough positive things about our stay at Kevin and Kim's beautiful home. The place was fantastic and exactly as advertised. We felt right at home immediately in their immaculately clean home. It had everything we needed for a quick getaway. It was close to busses, the grocery store and the lovely shops and promenade in Volendam on the water. Amsterdam was only a 20 minute bus ride. Kevin greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Truly a great experience. I would book with Kevin and Kim in a heartbeat again should our travels return to Volendam.

Neat space, nice and helpful hostess and host.

First of all, Alex, Liz and their parents are really very warm and caring for their guests. They can be reached at any time. Thanks to their welcome, we immediately felt like we were on vacation. The apartment is very nice and decorated with care and good taste. The kitchen is well-equipped and sunny for breakfast and starting a beautiful day. The garden is beautiful and there are plenty of small discreet corners where you can sit. It was an enchanting break and we hope to return.

the neighborhood is quiet and very nice

Lovely apartment, very easy to find and very clean and comfortable. Great location on the waterfront and close to bus station. Easy walk to town and lots of cafes / restaurants. Shafieq was really responsive and helpful and gave very clear instructions on check-in.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the view. The cottage was clean and tidy and equipped with everything. The view was amazing. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow it, but the beautiful moments we were able to sit on the terrace and the jetty. We stayed in cottage # 5. Highly recommended. Good beds and full equipment in the kitchen.

Lovely stay at Rudis cottage.After two weeks travelling around Europe we wanted a couple of night to relax and this was the perfect place. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and Rudi even brought us a fan when the temps hit 31 and the place was so hot. We were lucky to have a storm and be able to watch out over the nature reserve was amazing. We also ate at De Heeren van Maarssen nearby and the food was beautiful.

The house was very tastefully decorated and offered everything we needed to feel at home. The view was breathtaking and we were able to enjoy many beautiful sunsets. The host was always available and gave us helpful recommendations that enriched our stay. We can recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to experience an unforgettable trip.

Beautiful house and perfect host!

Best location for access to Edam. Steps away from the cheese market. Ample parking for an SUV. Bathroom on par with American standards - nicer than most European bathrooms. Washer and dryer are full capacity. Enough sleeping space for a family of six. Playground in front of house. Hosts nice and responsive. Cobbled roads and narrow homes do make Edam not ADA friendly like much of Europe.

Such a lovely place to say in a peaceful, friendly village with swimming canal ,all within easy to navigate public transport to central Amsterdam. We had a fantastic time, our host Lonneke was helpful and very friendly. The cottage was very clean and as described. I would recommend staying here.

Angelique was a good and friendly host. She greeted us right on the street, so we didn't have to look any further for the accommodation. The cottage is very lovingly furnished. The location on the water is really good. You have your privacy here. We were also very pleased about the food provided. We had a very nice time.

It is a beautiful accommodation with a view directly of the lake. The accommodation is small but it offers everything you need and we felt very comfortable from the first moment. There is also a parking lot directly opposite and very good restaurants and shopping nearby. It was a dream to wake up every day with a view of the lake. If the weather is good, you can also go swimming there. Will definitely be back :)
