Holiday rentals with lake access in Netherlands

We had a wonderful time at the Steelhouse! Natalia provided us with very detailed and helpful information about the journey and the stay in advance – nothing was really missing. The accommodation is fantastically beautiful in the middle of nature and can be reached by raft - the arrival alone is a little adventure. Our dog enjoyed the surroundings as much as we did: lots of greenery, tranquility and space. The Steelhouse itself is high-quality and furnished with great attention to detail – everything you need is available. The view of the lake was particularly impressive - simply breathtaking! A real highlight was also the sauna - perfect for relaxing after a day in nature. We will be happy to come back. Thank you for this unforgettable time!

Very nice location, very close to the center. It is important to mention that there is no parking space for the car. 500 meters away is a free parking space. We didn't think this was a problem. First drop off the luggage and then take the car to the parking lot, went well (one-way traffic). The cottage is modern and cozy and equipped with every comfort! Train station and bus stop are nearby to explore the wider area by public transport. In the garden, there is a shed where you can store your own/rented bicycles. It is a quiet environment and yet close to the city center! Wonderful place and definitely recommended.

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! It was spotlessly clean (not a speck of dust anywhere!), everything had been thought of (including a welcome bottle of bubbles!), it was spacious, and very convenient for public transport....oh, and stylishly decorated! Being close to the train station meant that we could easily get into central Amsterdam, as well as go on day trips to Rotterdam and Zaanse Schans during our stay. Our favourite day was renting bikes in Zaanse Schans for the day and enjoying cycling through the countryside. Very happily recommend this place to others looking for a base near Amsterdam.

We loved our stay here and if we returned to the Netherlands we would stay here again. A very comfortable house, wonderful big soft bed, clean kitchen and lovely shower. A beautiful outside space too- we loved it. Excellent stay

Great beautiful and luxury location to celebrate Christmas! This luxury location would be complete if the TVs had a cast feature so you can stream your own programs or an accessible hdmi connection. A bath mat by the showers makes it less wet on the bathroom floor. Furthermore, we really enjoyed it and is definitely for repetition.

Amazing place with a wonderful view. It can be immediately felt that they put thought and effort into their apartment. The decoration was on point and made us feel right at home. The kitchen had everything you need and made cooking feel almost like at home. It really felt like a home and not just an Airbnb.

The check-in was straightforward and all the important information was super prepared. The highlight is the view over the water and the terrace, from which you can access the lake directly via a ladder. We were already there for the second time and would be happy to come back.

We had a great stay! The apartment is located in a quiet and natural environment, is tastefully decorated and equipped with every comfort. Everything was sparkling clean and well cared for. The location is ideal: you can be in Harlingen and Franeker in no time. Ympkje is an incredibly friendly and attentive host, who is always ready. We felt immediately welcome. An absolute must! --- Let me know if you want to change anything in terms of tone or length.

A top accommodation, a whole experience

I would definitely book that apartment again!!

We have enjoyed this lovely and very spacious apartment. You can also relax on the private terrace outside and enjoy the peace and the birds chirping. The owners are super hospitable and very caring. We were brought our breakfast in the apartment all weekend, table was set. That really felt like pampering! In the restaurant also deliciously eaten after a long bike ride through the beautiful surroundings. The young lady and young man who also worked there during the weekend were also super friendly. Compliments to them too!

The place was decorated with a lot of love for detail – really beautiful and very cozy. I was particularly impressed by the fantastic garden with the many roses in front of the entrance – just a highlight! There are two entrances which was super convenient, especially with dog. At the back you could comfortably go to the terrace – perfect to walk the dog. The contact with the hostess was consistently friendly and pleasant. Walking, you can quickly reach both the beach and the lake and also downtown – great location! And best of all, I slept superbly. Absolutely recommended – I will be happy to come back!

The place is quite compact, but it has everything you need. Is well suited for a short trip and for relaxation.

A beautiful cottage in which we immediately felt comfortable. The view is sensational: ducks, storks, rabbits, lots of greenery and waterside. On the terrace with the very cozy rocking chairs, you can relax and enjoy a sundowner. The amenities are perfect, the beds very comfortable and everything super clean. Rudi is a great host and very friendly. 😊 We will be happy to come back.

Wow! Nor and Mat’s cottage was the perfect escape. The most comfortable stay with picturesque views. The home was immaculate, and Nor and Mat have thought of everything—including toys and crafts for our 3 year old. Their communication and instructions were great, too. The location was wonderful too—a short drive to many restaurants and stores while still quiet and peaceful. We loved our time there!

Absolutely a highlight! What a lovely home with lots of privacy, well appointed kitchen with good stuff and lovely beds. Beautiful boat rented and sauna on the water was really great!

Had a nice sunny weekend with friends in this nice and cozy cottage. We have enjoyed the big garden with lots of sun. The cottage matches photos and description!

We had a wonderful stay in Lonneke’s place. The house is very cute and cosy with absolutely everything you need. Lonneke left out really clear instructions and a few tips of things to do in the area. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant in the village centre. The service team and the locals were super friendly and the food was good. The local village shop is also well stocked. Lovely walks : ribs in the area and a couple of us were brave enough to take a dip in the river! Would highly recommended

It is a beautiful accommodation with a view directly of the lake. The accommodation is small but it offers everything you need and we felt very comfortable from the first moment. There is also a parking lot directly opposite and very good restaurants and shopping nearby. It was a dream to wake up every day with a view of the lake. If the weather is good, you can also go swimming there. Will definitely be back :)

We had wonderful days with Tineke and family as a family of three. Great area to spend an active holiday (preferably on the bike) or to find peace and relaxation in the house and sauna in bad weather.
