Holiday rentals with lake access in San Antonio River

This was a perfect place to stay. The decor was awesome and all the amenities were top notch. We had a wedding to attend close by and it was just what we needed. Jimmy was very responsive and flexible with our check in and check out. Felt like a 5 star hotel. Thank you!!!

This home was beautiful. The host was very accommodating and our stay was comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. The beds were extremely comfortable. We will stay again if we come back to the area.

The location was in a great area and was extremely clean upon checking in. The house is a very short walk from the water and had a very nice view that we enjoyed. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

The house is nice and cozy. you immediately feel at home, the lake is very low. there's no way to swim in it. if you're looking to walk around and have a hiking adventure then you're in luck at Pebble Creek Park. there's nice restaurants and bars and around Dollar general is about 4. Melissa has great communication skills, we really enjoyed the pool that has a gazebo over the top of it and a barbecue pit right next to it. overall we had an amazing time, it was quiet and we were able to hang out, relax and have a great time. they had plenty of supplies inside for us as well. as in towels, toilet paper, soaps and etc. Overall, it was very worth it

Great and welcoming home! Everything was so nice and clean. Host was very responsive and helpful with any of our questions. The view of everything was amazing and it has the lake and river near by. I definitely recommend you staying here.

Our stay at this incredible lake house in Canyon Lake was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the panoramic views of the water, the peaceful surroundings, and the thoughtfully designed home. The house itself is beautifully maintained, with a perfect mix of modern comfort and rustic charm. Spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and cozy common areas made it easy for our whole group to relax and enjoy our time together. The large deck overlooking the lake quickly became our favorite spot — ideal for morning coffee, afternoon lounging, and sunset dinners. One of the standout features was private lake access. We loved being able to swim, kayak, and paddleboard right from the backyard. Evenings were spent in the hot tub under the stars — truly unforgettable. The location is perfect: secluded enough to feel like a true escape, yet close enough to town for groceries.

We had an awesome time we loved the scenic/picture worthy views. Very relaxing , the home was very clean, and we felt very safe in the property and lockable wrap around deck. The lake water was a little stinky but that's out of owners control. We did ride the tubes down some rock shoots and caught a few fish 🐟 . We had a few questions and they got back to us quickly we really appreciate it thank yall 😃

My family had a wonderful time. Quite neighborhood, home was really nice inside and clean, and we enjoyed walking around the community.

Stay at Jacob’s was great and convenient. The place we had originally booked wasn’t available but the staff made sure to get us into another room which was even better than the original. Walkable distance to the river walk as well.

Sandy’s place was exactly what was described in the listing. She responded promptly to any inquiries and the space was peaceful. I’m a sucker for a minimalist layout with the small comforts of home. Definitely recommend checking this place out for a comfy close spot to the river walk with everything u need to feel at home.

My husband and I stayed at this home for 2 months. We both work remotely and had no issues with the internet during our stay. The place is well stocked for long stays. The patio space, especially the hot tub, is nice for relaxing. The neighborhood is very quiet The location is a good 20-30 minutes from New Braunfels where you’ll find many restaurants and stores. We would definitely stay here again.

Debra's place is exactly how she described and better! My daughter graduated pre-k late the night of check-in and she stayed up to greet us with a smile on her face at nearly midnight! She was super responsive and helpful each step of the way. Being from a small, country area myself, it definitely felt like home to me! The pool and playground was my daughter's highlight of the trip and she loved having her own bed! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area!

This place is absolutely perfect! We had the best weekend here!! Beautiful, clean home. No issues at all. Plenty to do indoors or out. Didn’t have to or want to leave the place. Had HEB deliver groceries first thing! It was a very nice, relaxing stay for us. Gorgeous grounds and location. Kids had a blast in the water and out. We definitely want to be back as soon as we are able! (:

We had a great time, Tom was quick to respond when we were booking, the place was great, brought our dogs and had a really nice time. Right on the water and we had fun fishing from the lower level of the yard. Great outdoor grill and dinning area. Would stay again. Location was great and very convenient to everything.

Silvio’s place was really awesome! We were visiting for a BMT graduation & being able to stay around the lake & make the ~1 hour commute to Lackland was worth it. The lake has lots to do around it & landscape is breathtaking. Silvio gave us a huge, detailed list of recommendations as well, which we were really thankful for! Very clean & felt right at home. Check-in was super easy. This spot is convenient if you are interested in both San Antonio & Austin, as it is a perfect halfway point between the two. Also, the beds were SO comfortable! If we return to this area of Texas again, we will definitely be booking Silvio’s place!

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this beautiful little cottage over memorial weekend. The cottage is small but so well laid out that actually there’s loads of space and can sleep a family of 4-6 people easily. We enjoyed being by the river, the nice big lawn (we brought a slip n slide) and its nice and quiet but still close to Gruene and New Braunfels. We had a great time. And the cottage is so beautifully decorated and attention to detail to everything. Loved it. Highly recommend it and the hosts were super helpful but we didn’t really need anything.

As I sit here and write this review I'm comparing my pictures that I took to the pictures of the rental and the more disappointed I'm getting. The pictures are nothing like what is shown for outside. The inside of the house was awesome. As for outside the grass was overgrown. The number of chairs that are shown was way less. Not to mention of the two chairs one was broke. Luckily we brought our own chairs. No corn was provided for the deer. I did reach out about the corn and was told it was in the pantry, but there wasn't any there. If you are not going to enjoy the outdoors and plan on staying inside this house is perfect. I wish there was a way to provide my pictures for reference.

Everything was as described, including the low water levels. The (adult) kids had a good time will the adults spent the weekend just relaxing. Very quiet and serene. Definitely will come back when some water time can be had.
