“I have stayed in converted travel trailers before and this one is by far the best designed. Hosts' description tells it all, no unwelcome surprises. Although compact, everything is there for comfort and function. The outdoor amenities (deck, BBQ grill, hot tub, outdoor shower, fire pit, hammock) are nicely laid out and under a canopy of live oaks. With the comfortable accommodations being in an Airstream trailer (22 feet?) and the wooded setting, the overall experience is of spaciousness and seclusion.”

“Oh. My. Goodness. Bill's Travis Heights Hideaway was so perfect for our staycation. We live in east Austin and wanted a change of scenery (since we can't really travel right now) and a pool to lounge by for a few days. The Hideaway is modern, clean, comfortable, and so welcoming. The energy of the entire property is luxurious and chill at the same time. I would recommend this guest house to those who want the convenience of hip, central Austin (easy access to everything) and the privacy of a residence (vs a hotel). Seriously, it was truly a satisfying stay. Oh, and the decor is effing rad! ;)”
A remote, off-grid adobe dome, powered by solar power, and near Big Bend National Park.
“This place is absolutely incredible...to look at, to stay in, to experience. It's off the grid, but has many unexpected creature comforts! I'm not exactly the off-the-grid type, but my dates were available, so I went for it. We stayed at the beginning of June, with high temps of 95f. The dome stayed comfortable night and day, except for maybe an hour in the late afternoon, and then it was not totally unbearable, just kind of hot. The cross breeze at night was delightful, 72f was the low during our stay. We were there to hike in Big Bend National Park; the dome is about a half hour or so from the park entrance, which is very convenient and the drive there is scenic! Sunrise and sunset at the dome are amazing, don't miss either! We brought a bundle of firewood and a small duraflame starter(there's a Tractor Supply in Alpine) and made Smores every night after Sunset!! Then we sat out and enjoyed the night sky. I got the startracker app and we could see so so so many constellations and stars and planets. Yes, the wifi reaches all the way to the fire pit! The composting toilet is nice and not gross in any way, clean and private-I was pleasantly surprised! My biggest tip is to book this place if it's available!!! The host is pleasant, thorough, thoughtful, and a great communicator. We had such a great time, I'm so thankful to have stayed in the dome!”
