Great location for being nearby LIU. Great backyard for the dog- if you have a large dog like we do. Fence on one side (gate) can easily be gotten under by a dog who wants to leave. House was cute and in a nice area. We expected the basement smell as it rained all week before we arrived. It was not that bad after the first day. The dishwasher had the previous renter’s stuff in it so we had to unload before loading ours as instructed. Also we took garbage out to back gate as instructed but it was quite full already. No swiffer or broom to sweep up the debris tracked in from the muddy yard. Happy with the space. Comforters were so comfy! We didn’t expect to be so close to a firehouse and hear an alarm multiple times a night every night. Not sure if that’s the norm. It was quite loud. Nothing the host could’ve done, just surprised us. Ants are a known issue- sprays available and traps but I had the dog so couldn’t use. Water crickets were gross. Entry is safe. Host very responsive

The place is very safe and quiet and conveniently close to the station. Miguel is also very helpful and just a DM away!

A lovely, tidy, cozy room includes almost everything you need, plus a good bed and nice bathroom.  Great hosts-available when you need them, but they respect your privacy. They’ll share helpful info about the area if you like. Port Washington’s very safe; you can walk at night freely without any fear. It’s a clean, calm neighborhood perfect for homework and rest. Highly recommended for people moving to NY- they’ll greet you with a warm welcome and help you settle in. Supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, + other stores are nearby-you don’t need a car. Just about a 10-min walk to the train; #23 bus is close too. I really enjoyed my stay - everything I needed was nearby. Jennifer & David were super responsive, going the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this accommodation: perfect location, great hosts, and excellent price for such a nice area!
