“Very convenient, comfortable place. It is a great location. Some people mentioned that it is in a "scary" or "bad" neighborhood, but that isn't true. It is a working class black neighborhood that has been somewhat neglected by the city (unfortunately, a common problem in the US) but it is very safe and you can really tell the neighbors truly watch out for each other if you talk to them. There are a lot of places within walking distance of the area (convenience stores, Popeye's, etc.).”
Budget room in Center City-South Bella Vista/Ave of the Arts I welcome you no matter what your ethnic, religion, or sexual orientation, background. I believe in diversity, because this country was found on it!
“Iantha’s place is very cozy and has a variety of comfort amenities all around the room and bathroom should you need anything from a small snack to bathroom supplies to OTC medicine. She has thought of all the little things one might forget to bring while traveling. There is a mini-fridge in the room. Staying here was easy, and everything was just as described.”
Hello, and welcome to Irene’s! For decades Irene’s was a neighborhood corner store on the edge of Fishtown. When we turned it into a studio apartment, we added all the things we have appreciated on our travels, including: • a luxurious king-size bed • a big walk-in shower with accessible fixtures • good light; good art; good Bluetooth speakers
“Pictures do not do justice for Irene’s Place. It is beautiful and a great space. The hosts were very quick with responses and have thoughtful touches and information. We had a great time! The neighborhood is up and coming, the bar a block down was friendly and the regulars there were helpful with even more ideas to checkout in Fishtown. The place is very clean and comfortable. They provided ear plugs, not needed, between the AC and nice windows we didn’t hear anything. The parking was not a problem. While the area looks “rough”, we felt safe and welcomed walking. People of all ages were often out walking.”
