Perfect, perfect, perfect! We have had the most amazing week at Lilac Cottage! Phil & Maggie were amazing hosts, very attentive, and absolutely lovely. The cottage was gorgeous with all the amenities you could need. The pool area was also lovely and private and the selection of pool toys went down a treat with the kids. Maggie was always on hand if we needed any recommendations of where to go to see the local area . Overall a fantastic stop off as part of our mini French adventure. Would highly recommend!

We were greeted by Lucille , who spoke perfect English and Monsieur . We were shown all about the house, how to operate the jacuzzi and given excellent recommendations for the area. The booklet was invaluable particularly for village market days. The house is so attractively deco and so comfortable with everything you need to make your stay troubles free and relaxing. As we are from Australia we loved cooking outside on the BBQ. Being supplied with wraps for the jacuzzi was much appreciated as was the jacuzzi after climbing lots of steps visiting the castles. Our hosts all came to farewell us which was a lovely friendly touch. We thank you all for your lovely home and generous spirit of welcome. This is an excellent Perigord base and we strongly recommend it.

⸻ Great stay at this great place! The place is particularly peaceful, perfect for resting and recharging. The accommodation is very functional, well arranged and decorated with great taste. Nothing is missing for a pleasant stay, everything is designed for the comfort of travelers. It immediately feels like home. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for calm and serenity.

We absolutely loved our stay in this charming gite. The hosts, Samantha and Jamie were so very friendly and welcoming. They made our stay very enjoyable. The gite was spotless, well equipped, very comfortable and had 2 outdoor areas to relax and admire the pretty garden. We enjoyed it so much we would love to visit again. We highly recommend this place.

A great relaxing stay, the accommodation is very beautiful and clean.. David is adorable! We recommend its aperitif board and breakfast! If we have the opportunity to come back to the area we'll be happy to come back!

we were driving to our holiday in spain and only stayed 1 night but we loved it. swimming pool was a bonus, didn't use the spa but it looked so good. we want to come back for a few days and make use of the facilities and explore the area. a very friendly host who is professional, and very warm and likeable. would definitely recommend it to others. just to note, the bedroom is downstairs, I was a little worried it was upstairs at the mezzanine level with the bathroom downstairs but when we arrived the bedroom and bathroom were downstairs. loved it.

We had a great weekend with the family. The accommodation was very clean and well-equipped. We were also able to enjoy the outdoors and amenities (swimming pool, barbecue). In addition, Thaïs was able to answer our questions and made herself available to best meet our needs during the stay.

Sophie and Craig were the perfect hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a welcoming (and much appreciated) basket of goodies waiting for us on our arrival and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The gite was just as described and the perfect place to unwind. Lovely views throughout the meadow and surrounding area, the natural pool was a delight. The chickens provided fresh eggs for breakfast and the dogs, Roo and Ted are adorable. We had a fabulous week in this little hidey hole in a beautiful location with wonderful hosts. Alicia’s cooking is to die for along with Michael’s burgers and both Alicja and Michal were attentive, helpful and happy to look after us. Would thoroughly recommend.

Thank you for this charming cottage, we had a great time there as a family. The garden is superb, wooded, quiet and pleasant. The freshness of the house is very pleasant in summer. Everything is as described, with a bonus of toy bins for the kids!! :)

The loveliest airbnb we’ve ever stayed at!! The owners are so accommodating and their cats and dogs are so sweet. The views are incredible and the gite was perfect- had everything we needed even coffee and every kitchen utensil you could think of! There’s also a BBQ you can use if you’d like. The pool was perfect for the heatwave (and the aircon!) and so tranquil. There’s a book in the room that the hosts have put together with info about local attractions and recommendations that was very helpful! If you want a peaceful get away, it doesn’t get much better than this!

Julian’s place was most peaceful and relaxing. We stayed a week but could have stayed longer. We had all the amenities we wanted and feel that the gite is very good value for money. The weather was unseasonably cool, but we still enjoyed swimming in the unheated pool. There are two outdoor spaces which we used each day. For cooler weather there is a substantial wood burner.

Cindy is a charming host, who knows how to be available or discreet as you choose. The cottage is perfect for spending a few days on vacation. We were able to enjoy the pool, the Valley of the Monkeys and the Grand Cormonier park with the children. Many birds and animals were seen during our walks in this beautiful region.

Very pleasant stay! Thank you for this charming place in the heart of nature. We'll be back again…

We had a great stay with friends at La Brineraye. Very clean house with all the necessary amenities :) The pool and play area make all the difference! Caring and warm host. We'll be back next time!

Beautiful place in a stunning location. Perfect for couples looking for a serene getaway. Amanda was a fantastic, responsive host and we will definitely be coming back.

We had a really wonderful stay here. The Cottage had everything we needed and Mandie and Badger were super hosts. The location is perfect, far enough out of town to really experience peace and tranquility and close enough to everything that you may want to explore. The little touches offered such as fresh bread delivered to your door each morning and everything for your first evening meal on arrival were very welcome. We would love to return!

A nice quiet place to enjoy. Nice swimming pool, great seating in the shade and a huge garden for some small activities. There is not much to do in the village itself, but Virginia does give advice. We went to Angouleme. Furthermore, especially in the place, enjoy the swimming pool, the garden and the relaxed location. The accommodation is nice and spacious and equipped with every comfort, and the dogs on the property are sweet and quiet.

Small, very nice accommodation for a few nights. If the weather is nice, the pool (unheated) is very nice. The hosts do everything to make sure you have a good stay, very, very welcoming.

You really can't beat the location, just steps away from restaurants and shops, on the main road to the chateau. Everything inside was perfect and comfortable, felt like home away from home almost immediately. I was really hoping to spend my days lounging on the gorgeous patio but it's literally the most photographed patio in all of France (constant stream of people going to and from the castle). The local host was fabulous, very attentive and patient with my non-existent French. We were there 11 days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely break, staying in a well equipped beautiful Gite in fantastic grounds. The heated pool,games room and garden kept our teenagers entertained. Recommended :)
