Family-friendly holiday rentals in Ohio

I am so happy with our experience at the Underground Earth Home. The pictures actually don’t do the space justice, it’s a unique and beautiful property and home. Ian and Megan were super responsive and helpful. The location is close to great hikes & parks, antique malls, and close enough for Walmart grocery delivery. The house sits on a beautiful piece of property, and the tree next to the fire pit & covered patio provides ample shade which we loved since it was 90 degrees all weekend! Thanks for a beautiful weekend!

A great place to just relax and enjoy being away from everything. Stores are 5-10 min away just in case you need something. Cabin was very clean. Only had to message Barb 1 time and she got back within minutes. Would be a great place to take your small family or spend the weekend with a couple of friends. We will return.

This place taught me a lot about myself that I needed to know. Nothing like a private place to unwind, relax and be yourself. Really close to hiking trails too, and with a hot tub. Plenty enough for me.

The cabin is beautiful and love the location! We got to see a doe the one morning just walking around in the woods! We had an issue with the TV that Brian was able to walk us through to get it working! He was very nice and quick to answer! It was a short trip but so worth it! We definitely would recommend this cabin and we plan to come back! Thank you for hosting us!

We got married here last year and love coming back. Can not wait to keep coming back year after year

What a wonderful retreat! I stayed by myself as a little momma get away and it was perfect. The Zucchini bread is as good as everyone says! The hot tub was wonderful! The hosts were extremely responsive whenever I needed anything and really helpful! There are even games and toys for kids/toddlers if that is what you’re doing. I of course was vacationing FROM the kids toys lol but I love that if we go back there are things for the kids. Be advised that this is a basement apartment so you’ll hear footsteps and sometimes muffled voices just like you would in any house. It didnt bother me at all! The views are spectacular and the property is just so peaceful. 10/10 would recommend for sure!!

Beautiful place and view! The breakfasts were amazing and delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay while visiting family in the area. My wife and daughter loved all the horses and animals we could watch from the porch. Sorry about the noise from our rambunctious almost 5 year old. We tried to keep her as quiet as we could. Martha was very responsive and accommodating. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your beautiful place!

I love camping at Air BnBs rather than established RV/Campsites. it's always quieter and more peaceful. I loved the flexible check in time, since we came right after work AND the late check out time. Who wants to pack up at campsite and leave at 11AM like most places tell you to?? 4PM was perfect for a lazy, chill morning. The property is well kept, the creek was a beautiful back ground noise and super clean. Firewood was cheap and easy to gather. Porta-potty was super clean too. I like that you can set up anywhere you want, but the suggested spots are definitely the best. The only thing I wish there was would be a place to put our trash bags as we leave. But considering the remote location and the fact everything else was wonderful, I'm really not too bothered by that. We will definitely come again with the whole family

we had a really good Time. it was quiet and relaxing. definitely wasn't a big fan of the driveway. that was a bit dangerous in my opinion. other then that we had a blast. I would go back.

Our stay was very short, we got in late and left early so we did not get to meet Dorothy, but from what I can gather she is very intentional to meet the guests and I loved that! She checked in with me about needing infant items and had them ready before I even thought about it all! It was so nice to walk into a home and not have to worry about the set up of a pack n play etc,,,, beds were comfortable and it was a cozy cottage feel yet very clean. We felt right at home!

We absolutely loved the property. It was so nice to have the option to use the grill/ fire pit/ back yard. My husband loved being able to just walk down a few steps to enjoy fishing—which he did every morning and evening. We were only about an hour from Marblehead where we went to see the lighthouse and then took a ferry to Kelley’s Island. On the island, we recommend seeing the Glacial Grooves and the North Shore Alvar. Then an hour in the other direction, we were able to enjoy the views from the observation tower at Lake Erie Bluffs. And very nearby was Lakeview Park, which had a beach area with swimming. The views from the back yard at sunset were stunning. We had everything we needed for a nice relaxing stay by the water. The patriot suite was great for my family of 4 . With two small children we felt right at home. The kids played baseball in the backyard. The area is quiet and the neighborhood is nice. TVs in every room . The shower was amazing. The beds felt like we were sleeping on clouds. The washer and dryer worked great. And the dishwasher was a plus. Everything was easy to find . Josh is an amazing host with excellent communication skills . Our stay Exceeded our expectations. We have already booked another one of his units and he’s has a great selection of them . We know we’re in good hands booking with Josh !

Stayed while attending a horse show at Brave Horse, conveniently only about a 15 minute drive. Clean, very private and off the road.

An urban respite in a cool neighborhood. Harmanjit has a great sense of style and has decorated the apartment beautifully. The apartment also has anything you could need. Further, the bed is one of the most comfortable things I have ever slept on! The building is walkable to many fun parts of Cincy and an easy drive to Newport/Covington, KY. An easy place to stay. The only thing to note is the parking is a little hard to find. It is immediately next to the building, which itself is discreet if driving. Once we found it, it was easy enough to park.

The house was located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. We loved the covered patio and backyard space - we sat outside every morning and evening. Melanie sent us a message day of check-in and said we could arrive several hours early.

Denise’s apartment was absolutely amazing. All the instructions were so clear and she was super helpful! Everything was exactly as pictured and so cozy.

This place is so cute—everything as described, super clean and adorable decor! Easy check in/out process. Wonderful communication from the host! We’d definitely stay again when we’re back in the area!

We had a great stay at Chris and Dawn's condo. The space was clean, well equipped and just as described in the listing. The hosts were very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. The view from the screened balcony was awesome. Highly recommended!

Second time staying here and we are just so grateful for it. it's a 5-10 min drive from whatever you want to do in town! Jack and Rachel are also just so nice. it's a small place with a loft, just as pictured. we look forward to returning when the pool is open!

Our stay was exactly what we needed and where we needed. Ross & Michelle were quick to respond to messages and were very thorough the week leading up to checking in and their process was so easy. Our stay at The Lodge on the Hill in Sugarcreek was amazing. It is a wonderful place for family/friends to spend quality time with one another. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at The Lodge-it never disappoints. The amenities are plentiful, the view beautiful and the host is readily available. The Lodge on the Hill is highly recommended.

Great place, close to everything but far enough away for peace and quiet.
