Tiny house holiday rentals in Mindanao

Juvy and her husband were quintessential hosts for our group of Americans and Filipinas from the mining industry. Our fully stocked beach house greeted us with freshly laid eggs and homemade bread from their farm to table homestead. The remote oceanfront location was pure paradise for quiet solitude yet close to town for easy access to groceries and restaurants. We enjoyed ongoing communication with Juvy, who accommodated our every need. She offered personal tours and made recommendations for local sightseeing and eateries. An amazing experience even for well-traveled adventurers. Five + stars!

Nous avons passé un super séjour ! L'appartement était propre et juste à côté de la mer. Nous sommes arrivés tard au port de Larena et les hôtes ont été tres arrangeants (le airbnb est à 10min du port). Nous avons fait le tour de l'île en tricycle et du snorkeling dans la mer juste devant. Nous avons mangé tous nos repas sur place, c'était très bon et pratique, le airbnb étant loin de la plus grande ville. La famille est très sympa et nous a bien aidé pour visiter l'île !

We expected to see the monkeys but we weren't able to huhu hopefully soon we'll be able to see them when we come back. Travelers should bring their own food (you can cook) and water (drinking water). The tap water is also stable, but we encountered twice in the morning, around 6:00 or 7:00 am, no water when we tried to use it but only for a few minutes, after that, the water is normal. We had a cozy, comfy and fun stay. The view and air is so refreshing. I highly recommend the place although for the meantime, you can't enter the premises using a vehicle, you need to walk but it's a bearable exercise haha and the dogs will welcome you - they are all friendly and playful. I suggest you bring food not only for your self but also for the dogs, although there are times they fight because of the food but afterwards they are all friends hahaha From the area to Babak, the transportation fare is P100 per person (motor cab?) From the area to San Remigio, the transportation fare is P150 per person (motor cab?) Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing. It was very windy during our stay. The place is also quiet. ♥♥♥ We hope we can visit again soon.

This place is wonderful - one of the best in all of Mindanao, and I have travelled to every corner of this amazing island! The setting is stunningly beautiful, it's so peaceful, the gardens are big, relaxing and so well set up - with seating everywhere and several excellent outdoor kitchens. The accommodation is great, especially newly-renovated Cabana 3 (but all of them are fine). The caretakers are helpful, kind, friendly and well organised. The owners are fantastic in every way - that's why they are so successful. The surrounding restaurants offer an excellent choice. Overall, it feels like a HOME. So, I recommend this place very, very highly!!!

I enjoyed my stay here. Peaceful and quiet but close enough to everything in Dumaguete. Very clean. Nice split aircon that's very quiet. Loved this place.

Purtroppo non tutto è andato bene a causa di problemi personali, ma Jo e i suoi collaborarori sono stati sempre gentili e disponibili, hanno assecondato tutte le mie esigenze. L'alloggio era molto bello, accoglente, spazioso. Come nella descrizione. Mi hanno accompagnato con il loro van, all'andata, al ritorno, all'aeroporto. Mi hanno preparato la colazione. Mi sono trovato bene e spero di ritornare da loro in futuro.

We stayed at Secret Spot for two weeks and had a wonderful experience. The villa was exactly as advertised — clean, private, and beautifully maintained. It felt like a little secret garden tucked away, perfect for slowing down, yet still just a short tricycle ride from General Luna’s restaurants, shops, and market. The bed was super comfortable, air conditioning worked great, and the kitchen was well-equipped (with extra supplies available on request). Wi-Fi (Starlink) was fast and reliable for both of us, even for streaming videos. The staff were responsive and helpful, and the host was friendly and easy to communicate with. We especially loved the regular visits from the local cats and dogs — they were sweet, gentle, and truly felt like part of the experience. One dog even made herself at home on our porch like a little guard dog, which we adored. We had no complaints and would happily stay here again. Highly recommend!

Stayed here with my best friend at the end of our Philippines trip and it was definitely our favorite stay by far! 🤩🥰 Felt like home the second we arrived. Super cozy, beautifully designed, and so comfy. The area is quiet and peaceful, but still close to everything we needed so it was easy to get around the island. ✌🏼🛵🚘 The breakfast place across the street was super good and convenient. The garden is like paradise. 🌴 We honestly found it hard to leave. Also, a big thank you to James, the host, who made our stay even better 🙏🏼✨

we had so much fun at Sir Dondi's place. it's a great place to relax and unwind that is not too far from the city. feels so homey and I love the antique vibe. Sir Dondi was very responsive and considerate as well as their care taker. Miss Hermes already, their cutie dog. Have already recommended this place to friends and family. will definitely book here again

Rebecca is an amazing host. She and her staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable! They helped us in every question or problem that we had and everything came with a smile. The home is so cute, really cozy and good for taking a break from the outside world . The center is really close by bike and the area is quite and nice. Highly recommend❤️🩷

I loved this place because it was set back from the road and far enough away from downtown GL that you could find some peace away from the busy town. Elena was very easy to communicate with, flexible with my changes in travel and also responded very quickly. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Superbe logement propre agréable avec de l'eau chaude et la clim. On s'y sent très bien. Tamara l'hôte est réactive. Le logement est très bien situé dans la zone touristique

The room was excellent and just as described in the listing. The space is very clean and we appreciated the large bathroom/shower. The room is spacious for two people, although we shared the room among three and fit quite comfortably. We appreciated the cold water dispenser by the rooms. Less plastic waste :) Although the location is a bit tricky to find at first, the host was easy to communicate with. It's located in a quiet area, a bit of a distance from the downtown area, but it doesn't take long to hail a tricycle. Though most don't walk around Dumaguete, the location isn't a far walk from the oceanside area and some eateries. A cafe is just across the street. Overall, would stay again if I'm back in Dumaguete.

Rosalie’s place was a great private beach house to stay at and will comfortably fit 2 persons. My favorite part was the privacy of the place and the caretakers were helpful. We cooked all our meals and enjoyed the ocean breeze. Unfortunately, when we went the winds were strong and it was raining hard. There were a few leaks on the outdoor patio. My partner enjoyed the very cool weather but for me, I was shivering. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Super schöne Unterkunft direkt am Meer. Alles wurde mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich hier sehr wohl. Es ist sehr ruhig und nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Motorbike von General Luna entfernt. Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt hier und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Excellent location and host with local advice on restaurants and itinerary. Right next to chocolate hills. Clean, cosy, rustic cabin where you feel close to nature. Bring earplugs for the cockerels.
