Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mindanao

The place was super clean and spacious - even with 12 of us staying there, it never felt cramped. We loved how the beach was just right outside the accommodation. There's even a cute little swing! The view was beautiful, and we got to catch the sunset too. Kaputian Beach Park is just a short walk away, and there are plenty of stores around- carinderias, convenience stores, and even BBQ stalls at night. There's also a market nearby if you're after fresh seafood. On our last day, we actually bought fish straight from the fishermen- it was caught at 3 AM that same day! Check-in and check-out were super smooth, thanks to the owner and caretaker being really responsive. We honestly loved everything about the place. If we ever visit Samal again, we're definitely booking here a second time.

We were stunned at the location. This is comparable to a private resort. we could not believe how impressive the location was for the price. Arno graciously picked us up from the port (airport pickup also available) and offered us the use of his car to drive around which was extremely helpful. The location is surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden with trees, plants and a pool. The compound is also self-sufficient with solar panels and harvested rainwater. the home itself was extremely modern, equipped with Wi-Fi and starlink for internet, beautiful bathroom, fully equipped and spacious kitchen and a bedroom with an amazing view of the garden. In the centre of the garden is a large area for dining and socialising. the buildings are named after the planets and have architecture Which is thematic for the buildings. this is the best Airbnb we have ever been to and it was like being part of the family. Thank you Arno and family. we will definitely visit again.

Incredible property that didn't disappoint. Spacious with an unmatched view, very responsive and friendly hosts. Not much for restaurants around so you will have to travel if wanting to eat out but it's located near the middle of the island so great access to the mountains and experiences. lots of fisherman right on front of the house so you can go down and try some sea urchin! You will probably want to rent motorbikes as van rentals are pricey in that area and not sure how readily available Grab is. Can also your tricycles from Pangloa if you are a family.

I had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was responsive and helpful, making check-in smooth and stress-free. I felt right at home and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Lorelaine’s place! She was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything so easy. The house was clean, tidy, and felt very homey — perfect for relaxing. It’s well-equipped with great amenities and had plenty of space, making it ideal for our big family. The location is also fantastic, with a shopping centre nearby and easy access to everything we needed. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

This location exceeded our expectations. Near our favorite dive shop, next door to one of the best restaurant and bars (Baha Ba’r), and still private enough to feel secluded. I would certainly stay here again.

Perfect! Love jud kaayo mi ni Lord😍 because we were supposed to get a 2-bedroom unit. We kept searching for a nice 2-bedroom place, and we ended up here, even though we were already planning to cancel this. But it turned out amazing because we have no regrets at all; it’s even better than the 2-bedroom! 😍 This is exactly what we asked the Lord for, a perfect condo where we can truly rest even while working (since we’re VAs). A place with the right atmosphere because our plan really was to have a staycation-like home. And the best part is, dili mi kaulion gyud😅 Kani jud ang pinaka perfect nga condo so far na amua nanga stayhan🥰 Thank you so much po🥰

Ka Cey is an amazing host! she responds immediately. when I asked for fresh towels on our second day, she had them delivered pronto! the place is worth the price and more! location is tops! amenities are in place and appliances worked perfectly. I loved the bed and pillows! this is one thing that most hosts take for granted. am glad Ka Cey made this an important feature! parking is a challenge but not an issue. as frequent travelers we survive issues like this. we find ways. I will recommend to friends!

Our stay was lovely. With your own private gate to a coral reef at the bottom of the garden and a stunning view to match, you could not be in better surroundings. Chin Chin and Litho, our caretakers, took care of any requests we had when we asked them. There are a few local eateries within a few minutes' walk from the property and you can get a bus into Dumaguete right outside the house - it takes about 45 minutes. The only things to note are the numerous cockerals that crow at all hours and the fact that the water pressure in the shower is quite low. Apart from this, if you love being off the beaten track and you want a slice of local culture, then this is the place for you!

Beautiful, clean, and well-equipped studio surrounded by nature – right by the sea! You’ll hear only natural sounds like birds and crickets. Local fishermen sometimes fish nearby, and you can buy fresh fish from them to grill yourself – a great experience! The owner couple is very friendly and helpful. A scooter is available for rent at a good price and is absolutely necessary, as the location is a bit remote in a peaceful rural area. In return, you get total relaxation and a real connection to nature. It’s about 20 minutes by scooter to the Dao Integrated Bus Terminal. From there, yellow buses take you to the Chocolate Hills (2h), the Tarsier Sanctuary (1h), or the Loboc River (30 min) for around 2 euros. If you prefer more comfort, that costs around 60 euros from Alona Beach. Snorkeling is also possible right in front of the property, and other nice spots are easy to reach by scooter. Perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy peace, nature, the real Bohol, and snorkeling!

We spent a perfect week in Panglao in the accommodation offered by Jeralyn. Close to the French Touch Diving center where we spent most of our days. The accommodation was very clean and the sheets changed regularly. It's a very nice place, away from the road.

I recommend this place. Ma’am Dopegine is so accommodating - she even assisted us when we checked out.

The place was really homey and clean, the couch and bed were very comfortable. Kate & Jun were accommodating of my request for a late check out. The area itself was really peaceful and quiet, very secure as well as there are quite a number of guards and staff always on duty. I did not feel unsafe even if I was travelling solo. Will definitely consider booking them again.

its our 2nd time to checkin to this house... Its still the same house we stayed - everything looks good. I noticed that it is well maintained and very clean despite the 3 year gap of our past and then this recent visit. I would still go back here the 3rd time if I would visit Bohol.

walking distance to SM and close to my family and friends property. We don't use much of the facilities as we are mostly out of town. We are good to have clean place to stay after a tiring day.
