Santiago’s place was perfect for our family of 5. It’s exactly as pictured, but the view and the privacy is even better. Santiago was a great host. He guided us to our place after dark and made sure we had everything we needed. I even left my wallet at a local restaurant and had trouble communicating with them over the phone because of the language barrier, and Santiago called on my behalf. Above and beyond hosting. Even though the house is not technically part of the resort, it still very much feels like it when you enter and the accessibility to the hot springs. If we’re able to come again to La Fortuna, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you so much, Santiago!

Barclay’s home was perfect for a getaway close enough to La Fortuna for convenience, but far enough to enjoy peace and nature. Every day brought stunning views and tons of wildlife. I was a bit hesitant at first because there’s no A/C, but it turned out to be a non-issue. The cool nighttime breeze and lower temperatures made for some of the best sleep I’ve had in a while. Barclay and his wife are absolutely lovely, they even shared some of their homegrown bananas with us, and they were delicious! Highly recommend this place, 10/10!

This is a wonderful home with a warm and inviting host! The casita and garden is adorable. Property is very beautiful, well-kept and clean. The decor is spot on for the environment Spent one night; we did not want to leave as quickly as we did. Plan to return. Thank you so much for your hospitality Jose’.
