Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lake Arenal

This location was great if you want to stay close but not too close to La Fortuna. The house is very private and clean. We highly recommend if you want to stay somewhere peaceful with minimal foot traffic.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The place is beautiful, and I absolutely loved the central pool. Everything was beautiful, even more than the photos. The grounds and nature surrounding the house is amazing. We woke up every morning to watch the birds, and there were toucans every morning to greet us. My daughter loved the geckso that were out on the balcony area every night. The beds were comfortable. If I were to provide a list of things you should know: - the road in is paved, but not a road that would normally catch your eye. Just follow the maps, and you'll be good. - the lower parking is easy, but the parking closest to the door may be a bit daunting for some to drive in and out of...but we were good. - Bring earplugs and sleep mask if you want to sleep in. The curtains are sheer. - Bring laundry detergent if you think you may wash something. The place is stunning and beautiful, and the host was very responsive. We didn't have any issues, but he was proactive. A+

What a gem above the clouds of Monteverde! Tobi and his family have created an amazing place to getaway and enjoy the mountains. There was so much wildlife and the accommodations were super comfortable and quiet. Tobi’s family’s restaurant is “Stella’s” (just down the mountain) and it is awesome as well. Tobi had excellent recommendations and connections. He is super helpful and friendly. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Next time…!

Jose, his family and friends were more than welcoming to us from the moment we came to the Airbnb! Quick responses and always there to lend us a hand or guide us to anything we may need! Amazing food at a local restaurant, horseback riding on his land with lots of things to see and learn about! His pool at the Airbnb was absolutely amazing! We loved getting to meet his family members and socializing with them! I would highly recommend this Airbnb to everyone in near the La Fortuna area!!! Ps wait until you see his 2nd one they are building right now!! Thank you soo very much! We loved everyone moment at your home!

Fabian was really fast at responding, and would check up on us if we needed anything. Super helpful and was willing to help with everything. Everything is like in the pictures but even better

My friends and I had a really good stay, and we loved the location and the house. However, somehow we were able to hear when the motorcycles pass by the house when we were sleeping in the middle of the night, and that would wake us up. Other than that, they were very responsive, helpful, property is very clean. extremely convenient as there is a store + coffee shop right across the street.

Raquel’s place was amazing! Raquel was very responsive, kind and helpful. The home was great, very clean and cozy. The location is great as well! It’s a 10 minute walk to the grocery store, and a three minute walk to a great restaurant. I highly recommend staying here!

An excellent place, very quiet and good view of the Arenal volcano.

Juan's place was CLEAN, nice pots, pans, flatware, great fridge, BEAUTIFUL wood ceilings, comfortable couch, beautiful and clean bathroom. The wifi worked very well. Me and my guest were very impressed with the room. It is so clean that you can actually let your children sit and play on the floors. Juan was very accommodating. He kindly helped me by allowing me to do a late check-in. He was very responsive to my needs and questions. He suggested a great location to go eat and the food was good! This room is right near town. Definitely walkable to restaurants, stores, and places of interest in both directions! The cost of this room was well worth it! My only issue: No side tables in the bedrooms. There was nowhere to set my glasses or cell phone before bed time except on the shelf in front of the bed. No lamps in the bedrooms; you have to keep the bright ceiling lights on when it's late and you want to wind down. Lights had greenish hue. But this room was still awesome!

! Our family of six had a fantastic time at the Arenal Dream Lodge. The location was ideal—just a short 10-minute drive to town, making it easy to access restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The views of the Arenal Volcano were absolutely breathtaking and made for a truly memorable backdrop to our stay. The lodge is in a small, gated community of just three homes, which felt very private and safe. The home itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Wagner was an outstanding host—his communication was prompt, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Arenal area!

Hi Jennifer as an excellent host, Esteban is also super friendly, attentive to our needs. A super quiet place, spacious, I loved that it is so natural, that they separate the waste. The pools are not so chlorinated. They were always willing and attentive, very friendly. Great place, super recommended 🤗

Maria's home is tucked in a beautiful and private, but also convenient location by Lake Arenal. Maria is so welcoming, responsive, and made my birthday trip extra special with a few accommodations/touches! Would definitely return and highly recommend others.

This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The atmosphere is peaceful, incredibly relaxing, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic, and having a chat with Paul was truly a blessing. Thank you, Paul and Carole, for such a wonderful experience. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

what an experience! felt so surreal to be staying at this place. the view, front porch, garden, and the gazebo were great touches to enjoy nature without having to go into it. everything was cleaned well. lots to do around here! 10-20 mins away from all the fun things going on in Monteverde. curi cancha reserve, orchid garden, butterfly garden, el tigre waterfall fav place to eat Soda Shangri La would not drive in the dark. we stayed in after 530p small store 1 min away by car- 6 min walk that has basic essentials! would recommend stopping at bigger grocery store on way in for needs had a Mitsubishi fwd that had a 4x4 mode and that was a no no. not worth it to attempt to drive up. he has a small 2 car lot a bit above the base of the entrance - park there and walk up bugs galore. keep the windows/doors closed. also make sure you don't lock yourself out! if you do not like bugs please do not stay here. the bugs get really loud in the night, put ear plug & wear bug spray, reapply

The views along are worth it, and super friendly horses on the property is something our kids absolutely loved!

A lovely house in the mountains with lots of big windows; bright, airy and offering stunning views! The house was even nicer than in the photos! It’s perfectly tucked away in nature, with no city noise, just the peaceful sounds of the cloudforest. We truly loved the tranquility of the place. You feel like you’re alone in the world, yet Monteverde is just a 10-minute drive away. Absolutely the best!

So far Esteban has been the best host we've had at this time. He was always looking out for me, trying to make our stay a better one. The place is amazing, the cabin is extremely cozy. I felt at home, everything was very clean and tidy. Outside the cabin in the garden you can see many animals, many birds and above all the path that goes to the river is very good for connecting with nature. Estaban offered us some tours and we booked one that was undoubtedly an unforgettable experience. An amazing accommodation, I would definitely stay in this beautiful cabin again.

The previous reviews are all spot on--Pablo truly went above and beyond as a host. From the basket of fresh fruit he left for us to putting together an entire guidebook for his guests, he truly makes sure that your stay is a memorable one! We opted for the breakfast made for us at the airbnb for my mom's birthday and it was truly so special! Such an experience and a delicious meal. The place is tucked away in a jungle oasis. We so thoroughly enjoyed walking the trails at the property and swimming in the swimming hole. Don't hesitate to book this place!
