Monthly Rentals in Fort Payne

We had an absolute wonderful stay at Rocky Acres. The house and surrounding was great. We had coffee and watched deer play in the morning and nights were so peaceful. Meeting the farm caretaker Miss Ivey was an absolute joy. We hope to return in the fall.

The location was easy to find and there is plenty of good parking. Cute cottage in old downtown Fort Payne with well-kept cottage garden landscaping. The house is in excellent condition and is updated for life-safety. I was alone on business so the good WiFi was very helpful. Several good local restaurants are within walking distance offering gourmet coffee and pastry, steaks, ribs, pizza, and specialty burgers. They were pleasantly full on a mid-week night. There are also some interesting looking shops that I didn’t get to explore. My room faced the street and a local daycare that is busy in the early morning, but I was very pleased that the house was quiet even with the street activity. The room has lots of creative decorative details and the bathroom has plenty of room and a full tub and shower that is hard to see in the website photos. Someone spent a lot of time setting the floor that is completely inlaid with real pennies! The bed is a comfortable pillow top. Overall, excellent!

This place is amazing and the perfect spot for kid summer camp layovers. I had a day on my own before camp pick ups and felt like I was at a nice hotel in the middle of nature. After pick ups, the kids loved getting eggs from the coop for breakfast and snuggling up on the trundle bed to watch a movie. The host is so nice and it was inspiring to see the work they’ve done to create a homestead. I will definitely book this spot again!

The house was beautiful had enough room for all of us and was very comfortable. The host answered my questions within 30 minutes when I asked a question and was very nice about it I’ll definitely be booking this property next year for this trip
