Waterfront holiday rentals in Asheville

We had a wonderful time at Jennifer’s home. Her parents, Ed and Kay welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They provided wine and delicious snacks for us and also gave us passes to Rumbling Bald. The place is right on the lake and absolutely beautiful. The inside is much more beautiful than in the pictures, as it is tastefully decorated and good quality linens and towels were provided. They had every thing available that we could need, expensive toiletries and plenty of floats and kayaks. I can’t say i’ve ever stayed at an air bnb that was so thoughtfully appointed before. We will definitely be back.

Tammy was a wonderful host and very responsive. She even took it upon herself to contact us and let us know we could check in several hours early. Her place was spotless and everything looked practically new. The "house rules" were short, sensible and not burdensome in the least. The kayaks were great fun and a wonderful amenity. It's also a very convenient location to a lot of the area attractions. It's almost right on a section of the Palmetto Trail, which we were there to bike. She even allowed us to store our bikes in the downstairs mud room, which was perfect to keep them secure and out of the way. The surround sound system was a cool amenity as was the huge shower with the multiple shower heads. Great getaway!

This is my second time staying at this fantastic spot, and it was just as great as the first. They are wonderful hosts, the place is a real hidden gem, and the community has so much to offer. It certainly won't be my last time here!

We had a wonderful stay at Monisha's place! The views from the window and deck were gorgeous! The house was very cozy and clean. Monisha is a great host and we hope to come back again!

I had a lovely two week stay at Eliber's listing. Everything was exactly as described. It is very close to downtown Burnsville and easy access to the main road but also quiet enough that deer were in the yard. Eliber was very responsive and answered any questions I had quickly.

Overall a really beautiful and peaceful spot that checked all the boxes for what I needed for the week. Super comfy and cozy. Had a really lovely stay, and Paul was super responsive. Definitely will be looking to book here again when I return to the area in the future!

We loved our quiet nights on the river with Kerry. She is a safe warm and super friendly host with the most picaresque mountain homestead. The space is cozy, comfy and clean.

My husband and I were so happy with our stay at Judy and Maria’s tranquil home. Everything from the creek to the hot tub and relaxing living space were perfect. My husband enjoyed fishing in such a great spot, and I enjoyed watching the ducks with their little ducklings, and the hummingbirds that visited often. 😊 We spent plenty of time relaxing, but also enjoyed the close proximity to good restaurants and shopping, and hiking. Casa Paz is in such a convenient and beautiful location. For good food we recommend Chef’s Table and Haywood Smokehouse in Waynesville, and Twisted Spoke in Maggie Valley. The place was very easy to find and Judy and Maria were very responsive with any question we had while we were there. Highly recommend a stay here!!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. It is private and in woods with the creek right there. From the time you get out your car, you can hear the water and feel a sense of calm/peace. The inside of the house is beautiful and comfortable. Love the fire pit and eating breakfast on the porch in the cool morning air. Cicily is very easy to get in connect with and quick to response. Love the fact that she reached out the day before to give us extra instructions about getting to the house and about going to get groceries before getting to the house. She was absolutely correct about grocery shopping first bc once I was at the house I didn’t want to leave.

Perfect getaway with peace and quiet, dog loved it too. Walkable to Black Mountain with shopping, restaurants and music venues.

This was a lovely place and exactly what I wanted!! The dog door and fenced in area was enough to convince my boyfriend that he needs to install one at his place. The view on the deck was incredibly peaceful! John was super friendly and helped with anything we needed. I worked “remotely” while I was there and no issues with the Wi-Fi! There were lots of nice little touches in the house and the bed was comfortable. Thank you!

Peace on the French Broad ! My first river vacation and this was the right spot. You have to be aware it is in the path of the flood, however the owners have this place looking like it didn’t happen . The interior looks brand new , yard and landscape was awesome, kitchen was fantastic, couch comfy ( I slept my first night there with the windows open) , talk about perfection. You saw the neighbors still dealing with rebuilding , you knew the heartbreak felt by the Community . Visited Marshall to Shop for at the Co-Op, leaving our hearts full of snacks, vitamins and bedding plants. The bench by the riverbank was the best seat in the house. I honestly didn’t eat a single meal inside, the porch was the dining room, great for moon watching . The kid in me watched the train go by- who doesn’t love trains. I would definitely book with Billy again! Thanks again for sharing such a wonderful house!

This place is heaven on earth. So idyllic, quiet, lots of hiking. The house itself is cozy and well stocked. Kevin and Linda are wonderful hosts.

This location was just what we needed! The house was clean and we felt right at home. Deborah’s instructions on how to enter the driveway was perfect! We would definitely stay here again!

A peaceful location for a getaway & a perfect home-base for all the outdoor attractions nearby. We loved being able to experience the river & wildlife right in the backyard(the sunroom & primary bedroom with the windows/door open is sooo relaxing). The house is comfortably cozy, with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy here as well- nice private front & back yards with big porches, plenty of seating/dining, a fire pit, & of course the gorgeous river. It was difficult to actually get down to the water without having to climb down the bank on fairly steep & unstable rocks(which I believe may be a new, unfortunate development since Helene). That was a bit of a bummer as it would have been nice to be able to get in the river, it just felt too shifty for my peace of mind(or maybe I’m a chicken?lol). Jennifer was a thoughtful & attentive host who was very accommodating to our needs & requests, & we loved being able to bring our pups along for the trip! I would definitely stay here again!

Definitely one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in. House was super clean and was in a beautiful little spot next to a creek. The kitchen was so well stocked with every utensil and appliance we could possibly need. It rained almost the whole time so we weren’t able to utilize the outside space but it was quiet and beautiful. All the little touches were super cool too, the record player and the coffee bar were so cute. Very close to town and nearby hiking/trail running/mountain biking. The fenced in yard was great for our dog. We are going to absolutely recommend this place to anyone who plans on visiting the Asheville/black mountain area.

The house was great and had the most well stocked kitchen I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The property was beautiful with plenty to explore with the kids. And it’s close to Asheville and the surrounding communities if you want to go out to dinner and explore.

It was a great peaceful Escape for the weekend. The hosts were very communicative and the place was very clean.

I can only rate Andrea on her communication. Unfortunately we were scheduled to come the same time Hurricane Helene made her presence. Andrea kept us up to date on weather conditions throughout storm. Unfortunately we were unable to get there to see the home ourselves, but I would definitely book again with Andrea just based on her communication. I hope that they did not endure too much damage, but unfortunate Lake Lure has a lot to recover from.

We enjoyed our stay at Kim's place. It was very convenient to our son's wedding venue on Lake Fairfield. The area is so beautiful and Kim's place was very clean, well appointed and updated. It was easy to find and easy to access per the directions. Kim was always responsive to any questions I had and the clear communication was appreciated. We would definitely book again.

We had a great time! My kids loved going on the canoe in the pond. We also loved going to the pool after a day out apple picking and hiking. The mornings are also peaceful sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee listening to the waterfall.

We booked last minute and by that, a day and a half before we arrived. Darlene responded within minutes and made arrival so easy with perfect directions/information. Darlene checked in with us during our visit and with the welcome packet Darlene sent us, I had minimal if any questions. The place exceeded our expectations and was so very close to the club and all the amenities. View was beyond! The only negative was we never saw a bear. 😂 We will be back!

Soo much to do! we were very surprised at all the amenities. We will definitely come back. We enjoyed the amenities so much we didn't leave the resort to see the area.
