Holiday rentals with lake access in Appalachian Mountains

It’s feels like pressure to write a review that stands up to ALL the other incredible reviews. I suppose we should stop there because that says it all. But we will add this: Ellie and Tower either wrote the book on hospitality or they read it 100 times. There is no doubt you will get the sense that everything is done with an eye to making you happy and comfortable…. And they do that in Spades. If this place caught your eye… act now… it will capture your heart as well.

No notes, incredible escape even in the pouring rain. The ambience, even down to the little things like walking through the door to classical music, was truly top notch.

The house was fantastic! An architect/designers dream Airbnb. Minimalistic and organized, clutter free with focus on the beautiful woods that the house is nestled in. The outdoor room was perfect for grilling and hanging outside with a bottle of wine.

We came here for a private getaway on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The price was a bit much, but for such a special time I felt it was worth it at the time I booked, and worth it it certainly was. beautiful, quiet, serene, it was perfect for a getaway. I would absolutely recommend, and I already have, this stay. 10/10

we had a lovely time at Seth’s cottage by the river. Everything was very well appointed and comfortable. I think the beds were the best I’ve had an Airbnb. There was easy access to new Paltz and kingston. I have no hesitation in recommending Seth’s place.

We had a wonderful getaway for my boyfriend's birthday. The grounds were lovely and we got lucky with the weather. The area was very private and peaceful. Great home to just relax, hang out and bbq.

T was very helpful and polite during our stay. He was responsive to text and proactive in giving us instructions on how to use the amenities. The house was private and had a great view of the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend the place to others.

Looks exactly as listed! Great views from the balcony with nice natural light from inside. The evenings had plenty of relaxing fireplace heaters inside with dim light settings. Heated bathroom floor was my personal favorite. A great park to walk in nearby made it the perfect relaxing getaway we were hoping for!

Carley's home was beautiful and very clean. Fully stocked kitchen with everything and anything you might need. the hot tub was very clean and private. beautiful home.

We absolutely loved our stay! The scenery was beautiful and so peaceful—it truly felt like a getaway. The canoes were such a fun and unique touch, and we had an amazing time using them. Our host was incredibly sweet, accommodating, and made everything so easy for us. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Angela’s property. So many beautiful plants and everything was so clean and well maintained outside. A real oasis. The room was very clean and the linens smelled so good. I am a germaphobe and I never felt uncomfortable staying there. It was near so many attractions while also being very private and peaceful —we spent every evening sitting on the beach just taking it all in. Can’t recommend enough!

The view of the lake was amazing. She was very quick to respond if there was anything needed. I loved the recommendations that she sent over. We overall had a wonderful experience!

Michael & Sarah’s place is fantastic! Right on the lake with every amenity you could want (French press, dishwasher, home theatre, BBQ, and fire pit to name a few) The place was comfortable and clean, in an extremely tranquil location, perfect for coffee or wine looking out over the lake from the porch or dock. This home had all of the little touches that make for an extremely comfortable stay (like wood and fire starters at the fire pit). Michael and Sarah are very warm, friendly and welcoming - we would recommend this place to anyone we know visiting the area!

We had to cut our stay short due to changes in travel plans, which was a pity because it was a really lovely and very comfortable place. I would strongly recommend it and hope to stay longer next time.

Place was amazing! Beach is so nice and relaxing, we loved the sounds of the waves with the sunset. Great place for a family vacation or couples get away. There was horse riding near by, the place we went to was horseplay and it was great. The front room was great for relaxing after spending time by the water or doing other activities!! Kitchen was really nice, the little coffee maker was perfect in the morning for yummy quick coffee. Bed was super comfy in the main bedroom. We used the extra room for our luggage, worked out perfect.

We recently stayed in Sarah’s beautiful cottage by the lake in Hale,MI over Memorial Day weekend.Its a very easy drive from Ann Arbor.This destination worthy cottage is beyond beautiful with Rustic and modern farm house feels! Everything at the cottage is thoughtfully and meticulously planned and you can see the labor of love of the owners at the property. The place is warm and inviting like and we had a wonderful time in this little slice of heaven with gorgeous views. Hot Tub was a bonus since the Temp was still in 50’s.Sarah was very kind and responsive through out our stay. You couldn’t ask for better Hosts!

Amazing stay! Jude and her dogs and her husband are truly amazing people! We had a wonderful stay and would come back in a heartbeat!!! We spent our honeymoon here and it was magical- best place to honeymoon! Jude was the most amazing host!

This place was amazing! The inside is decorated beautifully and the lake/dock area is perfect for those looking to relax. There are so many cozy areas inside and outside the house to unwind and enjoy the peacefulness. We wish we had more time here to just getaway and we will definitely be coming back in the summer when it is warmer!

We had a lovely time at Amber Cottage. Even when our activities got rained out, it was so nice to read and play games by the fire. It was clean and had so many amenities. We will definitely be back!

We especially appreciated his flexibility with our additional requests, which made our stay even more comfortable. The cottage is absolutely fantastic -beautifully maintained, cozy, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again!

Stay at FengQing's place was fantastic! Cozy cabin, beautiful farm and super friendly animals. I really enjoyed my "quiet time " in the beautiful chines pavilion on the pond . Property is very private and serene ,perfect for nature lovers. We can't wait to come back. Our host was quick to respond and very helpful

An extremely gorgeous place to stay. All the details have been extremely well thought out. Well equipped to be the perfect place for a restful retreat that feels like home! Easy to get around and explore the surrounding countryside as well.
