Houseboat holiday rentals in Appalachian Mountains

Great value and convenient location for our parent's weekend in Geneva. We were a family of four; two adults and two teens so the layout for sleeping gave everyone their own space. Bring your own towels and bed sheets. Blankets, duvets and pillows are provided. We arrived after dark and missed the entry several times. Luckily, Paula met us with her car lights on near the entry and guided us down the lane. A helpful landmark for others is to turn opposite the car wash area of the Speedway gas station. Thank you Paula and John.

Lyn and Peter were amazing hosts for our family of 4 (two adults plus two kids, ages 9&6.) Lyn greeted us at check-in, but gave us privacy after that, and was super quick to respond to texts on the rare occasion we had a question. The boathouse was as described with even more amenities than listed and more spacious and beautiful than the pictures could do justice. The place is immaculate with careful thought and detail into every little decoration and little touches (e.g. a basket in the bedroom with bug spray, package toothbrush, etc. for any forgotten items.) We felt completely at home in the boathouse and enjoyed the beautiful views from the upstairs deck and dock, where we spent the majority of our time. We all loved taking out the SUPs that were there for our use and it was a quick drive into town to visit Don’s Bakery (IYKYK), Splash Island, and the ski show on Tuesday night. Highly recommend the boathouse for your next Muskoka stay! Lyn’s hospitality is 10/10.

This is the only place I'll stay at from now on in Alexandria Bay, the house sits right in the water and has amazing views of the river and bolt castle. There is a lot of space on the property including fire pits throughout and a nice pool.

Danielle is a fantastic host with a beautiful home. Within minutes of settling into the Lilypad we were already making plans to return. The views were excellent, water taxi service was convenient, the boat was in terrific shape, and we felt right at home.

This will make my second visit. Location, location, location! If you are a nature lover, this is the perfect getaway. Even though the weather was not so great on this recent trip, waking up to the amazing view was still worth the trip. If you need a break from the city life and 9 to 5, this is definitely the place. This is not a shopping or extravagant restaurant type of thing… this is strictly a peace and tranquility type of getaway! Charles, thank you for opening your home to me and my family. This stay was just as awesome as the last!

I proposed here! Newport has been very special for me and my partner. I knew Lilypad would be the perfect setting and Danielle went above and beyond to help me make the proposal better than I envisioned! The Lilypad was tucked in around Fort Adams with beautiful views of the bay. The waters were serene with a gentle breeze throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the watertaxi rides, especially at night where we stargazed underneath a clear sky! Danielle was super friendly and accomendated all of our needs. Lilypad will forever have a special place in our hearts and we can't wait to stay again!

The house boat is in a great location with easy walking access the Freedom Trail locations like Bunker Hill or the USS Constitution. Catching the ferry to Long Wharf or the 93 bus downtown is also very convenient. Our two kids loved the sleeping in the loft.

Great place for a gameday weekend in Knoxville

This was perfect. My wife and I got to have a little get-a-way for her birthday, and this was just what we needed. Absolutely peaceful, more than accommodating hosts, great location and all the amenities we needed and more. I would stay here again and again and this may have convinced us to get our own boat. We need more special moments like this in our lives- thanks Carson and Mia for curating such a great experience. My wife was over the moon surprised from the roses you guys prepped for us, to the evening and morning canoe adventures, to the beautiful, cozy tiny home you guys have done such a great job creating! 100 out of 5 stars from us!

A true hidden gem! Location is perfect, boat is hitched to a small island away from other cottages on the lake for optimum peace and privacy. Stocked with all the basics and the addition of a fridge and gas stove is super handy. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy an glamping-style trip

BEAUTIFUL PLACE!! Awesome cabin and porch out to pond. Got to watch all animals enter act and roam around. Cabin well stocked amenities of every kind. Quiet, peaceful. Great grandchildren absolutely loved the place. Very clean!!

We loved our stay on the houseboat. We felt it was as described and very clean with thoughtful touches. It was a peaceful getaway, with a short 5 minute commute into a beautiful town. Carol, who helped manage the stay was quick to respond to any questions and very kind. We would recommend to anyone considering a visit to Portsmouth, NH!

Tessa was polite and friendly when we met her for check-in! She gave us a mini tour of the property and after that she told us the history of the property. She talked for a few minutes and answered all our questions! Tessa made us feel at home then she left! We had chance to walk the property and see the A-frame cabin as well as the spots people rent to put up tents. We walked around the pond and just enjoyed the wildlife. We really enjoyed the porch and that view was the highlight of the entire trip. Thanks Tessa for your hospitality and we will return in the future. Take care and be Blessed!!!

Beautiful home and surroundings.

Danielle and Mike's houseboat is a complete gem. The boat is beautifully decorated, and I had everything I needed for my stay. The little deck was the perfect relaxation spot, especially for bird watching....so many little families of geese. Loved the fish light at night!!!! The bed was extremely comfortable and cozy, and it was so nice to have a full bath in the container. I made use of the fire pit the second night. So nice to have a fire going looking at the river. I will definitely be back a little this year!!! It was the exactly recharge I needed. Thank you Danielle and Mike, the most stress free "stuck" boaters 😆

Very peaceful place, was awesome to stay right on the water out in nature. The houseboat was very clean and hosts were very nice. It is a small space but the experience is worth it. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful place to stay for the Boston marathon! Close to everything including restaurants and an easy walk around and water taxis close too! The boat was super clean with a few hang out areas. Sherrie met us and explained it all! Clear communication and so easy! Hope to be able to come again!

A Truly Stunning Boat House – Even Better the Second Time! This was our second stay at this incredible boat house, and it somehow managed to be even more amazing than we remembered! From the moment we arrived, we were reminded why we fell in love with this place the first time. It’s not just a beautiful property—it’s an experience. The boat house itself is absolutely stunning: immaculate, stylish, and perfectly situated with breathtaking views of the water. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and it shows. Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck in the morning or watching the sunset in the evening, it felt like pure peace. Peter, the owner, is just as wonderful as the home he shares. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, he makes everything seamless and stress-free. You can tell he truly cares about his guests having a great experience!!

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was exactly as depicted. Things were clean and neat. Very cozy. Other cottages were close by but it still felt private and the area was quiet. The view of the lake was awesome, as we were literally right above the water. We wish we could have stayed longer and plan on coming back in the future.

I surprised my fiancée for his 40th birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Austin was a great communicator, very responsive and flexible. We didn’t have to reach out to him during our stay because he had already communicated well prior to us arriving! The place was very clean, smelled great and was stocked with not only all of the essentials but also almost anything you could want or need! It is walking distance to the aquarium, restaurants, and shopping. When we weren’t out exploring the city, we loved sitting out on the top deck and just relaxing! Although it’s super close to everything, it is still very quiet and super relaxing, and feels super safe! The rental guys on the pier were also super friendly and gave us some really great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. We will definitely come back, when it’s a little warmer, and we can stay longer, so that we can enjoy some fun on the water next time! You definitely won’t regret staying here!

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at Fishing in the Dark in Whitwell, TN. The houseboat was comfortable, cozy, and exactly what we needed to unwind. We spent our days fishing and soaking in the peaceful surroundings—it truly felt like an escape. One of our favorite features was the outdoor shower—such a unique and refreshing experience! Pam, our host, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She even stocked the fridge for us ahead of time, and at a much better price than the grocery store. The Dobbins sausage she provided was absolutely delicious! We couldn’t have asked for a better host or a better getaway. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

This was a beautiful wonderful getaway home. It was so relaxing sitting outside, there was so much to do and great restaurants. The house was clean and the host Melissa was very friendly and great with her communication. I would recommend it to everyone! Thanks Melissa!!!

Katy’s place is located right in the heart of Riverhead old district next to the aquarium great seafood, restaurants and Turkish restaurants nearby beautiful parks great fishing spots I would highly recommend it.
