Absolutely loved my stay at Meerak's blue door. Peaceful location far from the hubbub of mg market with a stunning view of the valley. The room was done up very aesthetically and had a stocked up kichen counter also. Hosts were very warm and welcoming. And the icing on the cake was the orange tabby just chilling at their place. I'd love to visit again and would recommend others too :)

Great place! The homestay is erally great. Everythings works nice and the house is like you see in the pictures. My favorite part was the balcony that had an amazing view. Devdarshan and his family were really nice and were always checking in if things were okay. The kitchen is simple and could be more equipped, but I was able to cook nice things and, as I said It, it matches the photos and the description. It's a simple and nice place, close to the main road. If you looking for a nice, simple and calm place to stay in Gangtok, Bartola homestay is your place.

I have been to many locations, stayed at various places. But I can surely rate my stay at Mr. Kashyap's Maple house, as the best till date. In this era of capitalism where marketing is more and service is less; here my experience was opposite. I got more than what I was promised. A house bigger than what it looked in photos. Rooms cleaner than what was promised and the host more courteous than what I could have imagined. The whole building belongs to Mr. Kashyap and this apartment is on lower ground floor with a breathtaking view of mountains right outside bedrooms. A big smart tv, super fast wifi, clean kitchen, board games for kids. You name it they have it and thus the place looks like a home away from home. My family was also lucky to be treated royally by the host with elaborate dinner of local cuisines. This place is just 4 km away from famous MG road. Hence the place ticks all the right boxes and more. I recommend it strongly.

The place was approx 4 km before mg Marg. a Walkable distance from the main highway. Away from the hustle. A great deal at this price. Cabs are available frequently. Overall a good stay.
