I stayed in the cabin. I loved the place, it really is such a quiet and relaxing place, the sun comes in in the morning by the terrace and it's beautiful. The location is excellent, close to downtown, public transport and still, super quiet. Great wifi for work. Fredy is too friendly, always available. I'll definitely be back :)

Super quiet and beautiful for the type of accommodation it is, it is a little long from Manuel Antonio but it is well worth it for the tranquility and privacy.

We had an unforgettable experience at Fede's beautiful property. It was a family trip with several children, who enjoyed every corner to the fullest. As a mother, I felt completely at ease thanks to the security of the place, which is felt in every detail. The proximity to the sea is a gift: the sound of the waves accompanied us like a natural lullaby throughout the stay. One of the treasures of the place is a majestic Guanacaste tree, the national symbol of Costa Rica. Its shade is a delightful refuge, a true lung that renews the air and invites us to stop, breathe, and connect. It was our favorite place to rest and share. Fede was always attentive, with a kind and respectful presence that made us feel at home. Definitely a place we want to return to. Thank you so much!

The El Chante Surf House was an awesome place to stay for our group of 8 (max capacity is 10 with everyone is sharing a bed). It's a 5 min walk to Playa Hermosa, which is absolutely beautiful and less crowded than others in the area. The pool area is amazing, with hammocks and string lights for nighttime hangs. We did surf lessons and board rentals with the host, Fernando, which was a ton of fun (tried surfing a few times before, and this was the best experience by far). The only cons are that it's located a 10-15 min. drive from the restaurants and bars of Santa Teresa (so it's definitely not walking distance, which can be an issue if you're looking to go drinking/partying), and clean drinking water is not provided (which was especially annoying when we arrived at night and the stores were closed). Overall, we had a great time at El Chante and would definitely stay again.

My boyfriend and I had an incredible glamping experience in the jungle in this converted RV right under the airplane wings in the El Avion resort. The place was really cozy, the AC worked really well and we had monkey friends come and visit often. I loved hearing the nature sounds at night and it was lovely that it rained while we were there too because it made for a serene night in. We enjoyed being close to the adults only bar / pool area and being walking distance to many restaurants. This place was magical and feels like you have your own slice of paradise. Love this unique stay and definitely recommend.

Laura is an extraordinary person, we are so happy to have met her. His smile, his energy, his sharing, is a ray of sunshine. Sharing the same passion for sport as my son, it was a treat. Simply just WOW. We'll be back as soon as possible. Thank you so much for all the wonderful moments we've spent together.

A practical place with an excellent location, the jacuzzi was not full and took quite a few hours to fill, but everything else was fine.

My husband and I are so glad we had the chance to experience van life in Costa Rica—it truly connected us with nature and wildlife in a way we never imagined. The van was super cute, easy to drive, and quick to set up whenever we wanted to camp. We especially loved having the doors open at night while staying on the beach, letting in the fresh ocean air. The van gave us the freedom to travel along the Pacific Coast, explore the mountains, and even visit the Caribbean Coast. If you plan on heading to the mountains, just a heads-up that the van is front-wheel drive, so some of the steeper climbs might be a bit challenging. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and we’re so grateful to Bianca and Gustavo for making it all possible!

Daniel's camper is super nice, it has a beautiful view of the sea, in the middle of the mountain and with an incredible peace, the bed is very comfortable, in general the camper has everything you need to have comfort and Daniel was super friendly and at all times attentive to us, he would return with pleasure.

I had a lovely and peaceful stay at hotel Balu. Logan and Marianna are wonderful hosts and have made the property a beautiful oasis. You can feel the love and see the thought put into everything. The pool area is one of a kind and really cool with a waterslide and a little grotto with seats to meditate between beautiful healing crystals while Listening to the waterfall. The property is perfect for small retreat groups and families traveling together but looking to still have privacy. I am so excited to return for another stay and to hopefully bring a retreat group back with me. Super grateful for what Logan and Marianna have created.

Loved our stay in this little slice of paradise in nature! An experience to do if you want to live the jungle life with the monkeys, birds, etc. A 4x4 is more than necessary given the condition of the roads to get there but it is part of the experience. Thanks again to Sebastian who always has summer available.

It is the best place to relax.... after long trips or even long surfing days... quit, peaceful, you are far from the outer World... waking up with the noice of apes and birds with the cock trying to top it... 5.30... Human time, which is okay... Outstanding experience. The place has an excellent location, just minutes from the beach and many restaurants and amenities. It was clean, well-appointed for its size, and had everything I needed for a two week stay. Jack was very responsive to my questions, and even made some arrangements for me due to the extended stay. The AC might be loud for some (I didn’t mind), so maybe bring earplugs if that’s a concern. Highly recommended, and I hope to return in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Van. Everything is very tidy and clean. The internal style feels like you walk road-trip and it's really nice. The facilities feature a small pool at the back of the property and the place itself is like a very tidy and nice hostel. Sebas the host was very communicative and even took the time to explain the highlights to us on a large map of Uvita they have in the living room. I highly recommend it. The only detail that is not in the explained list is that they require a card to check in and they do not allow you to stay if you do not provide it. This can be a little uncomfortable since it is not explained in the list and if you do not walk the plastic you can have a bad play. But other than that, amazing place I recommend in addition to the uvita community of course. Big up Sebas! Irie vibes 🤙🏽

This is such a special place to stay. We loved the novelty of staying in a 'designer' bus and couldn't believe the beautiful surroundings. The jungle is gorgeous - vibrant, lush and teeming with life. The howler monkeys visited us a few times and we felt so lucky to observe them so closely. The bus is very neat and well-organized. We used the kitchen to cook some meals and it had all the amenities we needed. The common pool area is lovely and inviting. The hosts were fantastic and addressed all our questions quickly. It's important to recognize that this place is quite deep in the jungle. The road is not easy to drive on (you need a 4x4). Also, it may not be ideal for visitors who are worried about bugs. The place is spotless but it's not suited for those who are too squeamish about ants and having other insects around. Bring bug spray! Make sure to use Waze for directions to the bus. Google Maps does not show where to turn off. Look for the street light on the side road.

Van is simply unique, I loved the idea of transforming a means of transportation into a house! Everything was super clean and spotless. Mariana and Ariela are two very available people, they explained where the nearby beaches and restaurants where to go to dinner were. I had asked him for a yoga class and 2 massages and he came a therapist named Elisa very professional, the massages and the yoga class we loved it. It was an excellent weekend.

We have been travelling around Latin America since the beginning of the year and we've met good and bad hosts through a lot of AirBnB we've stayed in. Ken and his family are truly deserving of the 'Superhost' tag! In every situation and circumstance they went above and beyond what you could expect to make sure that everything goes smoothly. The vans are really well equipped and Ken called beforehand to customise it according to our needs. We received the van in great condition and he was good enough to bring it to us to begin our journey. Having the van was an amazing part of our journey and allowed us to travel around Nicoya and explore beautiful spots along the coastline. Every step of the way Ken was there to support and help, suggesting amazing campsites for us to stay at. For some people hosting is just a job but for Ken and his family they really value your time and the fact that you are choosing to spend some of your trip under their care and hospitality. We would readily recommend to anybody who wants to explore Costa Rica hiring one of their vans.
