Andrea was an exceptional host, very helpful and responsive. The place was more beautiful than the photos and the attention to detail inside was very nice. I highly recommend a stay here for a very peaceful, restful, and for the amazing views and experience.

My friend and I really appreciated Ana Maria's hospitality and her family's gorgeous home. We loved the special personal touches including the jungle of house plants and well-stocked library with board games and books. Having the fireplace stocked with wood made it possible to have the perfect ambiance for reading in front of the fire on a misty afternoon! We found it helpful to have earplugs at night, as the home is close to a transit road, and earplugs did the trick to help us sleep soundly.

Fantastic view and a really nice property. We didn’t get to see much of the surroundings due to unfortunate weather, but we enjoyed the house a lot. The area is beautiful, even on a rainy day, and the house is very close to the poas volcano, yet far enough away that you are not surrounded by tourists.

Roberts place was a paradise. We extended our trip by 2 days because we loved it so much! Anyone would be lucky to book this place

Truly a Jungle Paradise 45 minutes outside of San Jose. My husband and I needed a place to recover from dental surgery and Shirley’s place was the perfect sanctuary. We were given a big Tico welcome upon arrival and felt right at home throughout the entire visit. The first morning we arrived Evereth the caretaker of the land took me on a morning jaunt down to the magical waterfall than runs through the property. The home is perfectly situated centrally between San Jose and Puntarenas making it a great spot to either relax and enjoy the quiet or to explore various regions in Costa Rica! The living room opening to the sound and views of the jungle every morning made for the perfect opportunity to reflect and connect to nature every morning without leaving the front door. We saw so many gorgeous butterflies and giant birds soaring along with a toucan! The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the bathroom shower had nice hot water. Truly a healing paradise!

We stayed for two weeks and felt sad to leave. Yuliana and her parents were great hosts, always responsive and helpful, recommending places to eat and visit and the occasional gift. Throw into that their dogs who asked for little more than a belly rub for their friendship. The cottage itself was as described. Large screened windows kept the place aired and let the sounds of nature flood in. The lack of aircon meant it was often hot especially upstairs and in the afternoon but what you get in return is a deeper connection to your surroundings. This included visits from capuchin and howler monkeys, birds, bats, toads and countless butterflies, and a diverse range of insects. The screens are pretty good at keeping the latter outside, and you can close the windows. Wi-Fi is decent and other amenities as described. With the heat we didn’t cook much but the option was there. We’d 100% return for the hospitality, the closeness to nature and the dogs.

The little blue house is exactly what one needs. Has a working kitchen, quiet, and best of all the beach is right there. It was nice to have a peaceful place to return to after busy excursions into the cities or whatever else. Felt like a home away from home. Would definitely visit again

Spectacular service, attentive and friendly all the time

Beautiful place, with breathtaking views. Good attention and if they hire the food is delicious. It's not up to the host, but I think it's important to note that the access road is preferably for 4x4 vehicles, and remember that it's a very cold place, especially in rainy weather.

Very good value for money, the only thing I have to say that the wifi was wrong, everything else was excellent. I highly recommend it!

Very spacious, quiet and private environment, with lots of nature and space for walking. Great for large groups. The pool is impeccable with a comfortable and very usable ranch. Very well equipped and with everything required for cooking. Very friendly host, attentive to inquiries and flexible with our departure, which was a great point, as well as the caretaker, who is very friendly and willing to help. Aspects to improve: the fans are not sufficient and in large groups this is a very important aspect (evaluate placing more or A/C), the equipment must be fixed to properly use the screens. It was our second experience at the place and it has been very satisfactory.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful and peaceful abode. Everything seemed just perfect. Karolina’s suggestions for grocery shopping nearby too were so helpful and the bakery next to Pali grocery store was amazing. The area is so safe and beautiful. We loved the kitchen and felt grateful for a washer machine. Such nice touches! We really enjoyed the hikes at the nearby nature reserve. Perhaps some FYIs is to bring your own shampoo and conditioner as well as the roads going through the mountains to the place seemed a little steep for our little economy car but turned out to be no problem. Bring a flashlight too just in case. Always a good idea in Costa Rica. Thank you Karolina so much! We hope to be back again soon!!

The place is super cute, with lots of green areas and a gorgeous garden. The house is beautiful and very spacious, ideal for six people. It is super well located, just a few minutes from the center of Nicoya. Katia and Carlos were excellent hosts: always attentive, very friendly, and answered all our questions with patience. The place has many fruit trees, which attracts a variety of birds. If they like the observation, it's perfect: we saw trogones, aracaris, titiras, motomotos and more. The pool is beautiful, as is the ranch, ideal for relaxing surrounded by nature. We will definitely be back!

The place is very nice, just as seen in the photos. The house is very nice and clean, the beds comfortable however, the only negative we have to say is that the air conditioning is a little old and makes too much noise in the evenings to the point that one could not sleep because all the windows sounded and released a jet of water outside the house... but otherwise the house is too cute and worth the stay. I thank Mr. Gonzalo for his attention, always attentive!

Aurora's accommodation was better than I expected, a place that was delivered very clean. We appreciate the detail of having coffee and tea to prepare in the morning. Without a doubt, an excellent place for the price.

David's place was very spacious and private. There were some reviews talking about no hot water for the showers, but we did not have any issues with that. It's located up an unpaved road that gets pretty steep. We had an SUV that was not a 4WD and we were able to get up there just fine. It gets pretty windy since it is high up on the hill, so we heard the wood of the place creaking every now and then. Nothing to be alarmed about, just FYI. It's a very quiet location. Inside was pretty clean with a few house flies which is understandable with the house located up the mountain. There are hiking trails right outside the house if you want to wander around. There were no paper towels in the kitchen, so we just left a towel from the bathroom in the kitchen to use. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and I would recommend it to others.

We felt totally comfortable and at home right from the beginning. Arabella's wooden house on stilts is really beautiful, stylish and cozy - a dream! In addition, the magnificent veranda with rocking chairs, where we spent and enjoyed many hours every day, as you could watch various birds and other animals there. We saw many toucans, iguanas and even once a sloth with baby! We will never forget this sight. We also got along splendidly with our local contact person, the dear neighbor Chana, and she was always quickly accessible. All in all we had beautiful and unforgettable 10 days in Arabella's oasis of well-being! We can recommend this house to anyone who loves nature, peace and animals, but at the same time likes to live within walking distance of the beach and town.

Our place reminded us of Swiss Family Robinson, up near the treetops, which occasionally had howler monkeys swinging by. It was magical. We did the snorkeling and bio luminescent tours which were both exceptional. We learned a lot and had fun! We also rented a kayak and went to Isla Cedros. Vigdis and Thomas were always available if we had a question, and fun to chat with. The beach is private and I loved going down there in the morning to watch the occasional birds fishing in the pristine water.

Cute property, quiet and close to different natural places to visit

Steve’s compound of small (but perfectly sized for vacationing) hand built cabins are unique in Nosara. With so much development in the area being a cookie cutter faux luxury, the cabin felt real. Attention has been given to using natural materials, and respecting the natural surroundings. We visited in February of 2025, with our 3 year old and 8 year old, and had a fantastic time. The weather was perfect. The private walkway off the property directly to the best beach in town was something we used multiple times a day. Steve has the perfect set up for a family to use the beach, and the outdoor showers and plunge pool were a welcome way to get the sand off of everyone. I can’t stress enough how great the beach is, with gentle surf at low tide, tidal pools full of life, soft inviting sand, and for a bit more adventure, hike the beach north to caves in the cliffs. There are also restaurants directly accessible off the beach, just south, meaning you can spend an entire day without shoes.

We absolutely loved our stay with Diane! The property is stunning in a perfect location, we saw so many animals roaming around the property and it felt like we were right in the jungle. It's also walking distance to the beach and some restaurants. The cabins are more stunning and spacious in person, so clean and well maintained and it was such a dreamy stay. You fall asleep and wake up with the sounds of the jungle and the ocean, it was the best place we stayed in in Costa Rica and most authentic, best sleep of my life and can't recommend it enough!! Diane was an amazing attentive host, so sweet and friendly, always willing to help and giving us local tips. Would come back in a heartbeat, this place is fantastic :)
