Earth house holiday rentals in Puntarenas Province

Casa Bambú is a beautiful, comfortable home and a work of art. Ria and Silke were welcoming and kind. Having just left my family in the US, I especially appreciated a "family dinner" with them. The house is about 10 minutes away from Orotina and the road between the city to the coast. So it's far enough to get away from the noise. My bed was comfortable. The giant mangos are in season and delicious. I even came away with a cool, hand-sewn and dyed tee-shirt made by the talented Silke. Thank you both for a nice stay!

beautiful property!! beautiful and comfortable home!! amazing gem of a spot in the jungle. far enough away but still reasonably accessible. will be our number 1 spot when we return to Costa Rica. host and family were extremely nice and hospitable. would have liked to stay a few more weeks

This house is truly unique and absolutely beautiful. It is secluded, safe and private with fantastic views up into the trees all around. We heard and saw many beautiful birds including a pair of red macaws who visited everyday. Also humming birds, toucans, vultures, spider monkeys every day, coatis, lesser anteater, poison dart frogs, lizards and heard howler monkeys and got a brief glimpse of one in the distance. They can sound quite scary but they are not threatening at all. A key feature (see photos) is that there are no windows or doors in this place so be prepared for nature to have full access! There is also a nice lookout platform with a wonderful view of the sea- it is also a bit cooler up there in the wood. Carlos is a fantastic host, very inspiring and generous with his time. He will tell you with enormous enthusiasm about nature all around. A lady comes to clean most days and also gave wonderful massages. We all had a truly fantastic stay! Don't miss it- highly recommend

Beautiful grounds, comfortable and well furnished space. Just one caution for taller guests - things are geared toward those of standard height. Not really a drawback or a deal breaker, just something to be aware of. We’d happily stay here again next time we’re in the area!

we just got back from Madre Selva and I am not sure I can find the words. Unique, peaceful, private and the most beautiful location with unforgettable views of jungle, whale's tail beach, ocean and sunrises. The house has everything you need and more. Carolina and her husband are the nicest and the most welcoming people and their breakfasts and dinners were so delicious. They took a such good care of us, organizing everything and helping us with everything we needed. we felt right at home the moment we arrived. Amazing memories ❤️ thank you so much! Pura Vida 🌴

An extraordinary home steps away from incredibly picturesque waterfalls and forests. A perfect blend of enclosed space, and open to the environment. The sound of the racing stream below, provides soft white noise often complemented by rain on the tin roof. The hosts are very responsive, and the people living in the area are friendly and helpful. Stock up on food at a supermarket long before you get in the area. Fortunately the kitchen is extremely well equipped.

This was such a beautiful stay...I only wish I’d booked a few extra nights to really soak it in. After the beach portion of my trip, this peaceful sanctuary felt like the perfect landing. Kris and Marie were warm and proactive in their communication, helping me feel safe and welcomed long before I arrived. The space is a serene earthen home. CLEAN, with natural finishes and quality minimal decor. The garden and views were everything I’d hoped for - especially the hummingbirds flitting about and lizards sunbathing after the rain. :) I’d never stayed at an Airbnb that included breakfast, and not only were the meals vibrant and nourishing, Kris and Marie went out of their way to accommodate my tight schedule. It’s the reason I was able to be fed in the morning both days! Thank you for keeping the Dhamma alight, Kris & Marie! ☸️
