Farmstay holiday rentals in Poitou-Charentes

Words cannot describe how peaceful and relaxing our stay was at Patrice’s home. Our dogs absolutely loved the big backyard and my husband and I loved being in such a cozy and comfortable home. Patrice was so kind to us and checked in on us to make sure that everything was going smoothly. I would recommend this stay to anyone! Thank you Patrice for such a wonderful time!

Joli logement dans une maison de campagne ancienne et très authentique. Nous avons fait plusieurs séjours chez Bernadette qui est une hôtesse très sympathique. Quand la saison le permet, le déjeuner et la pause café au jardin sont fort appréciables. Bel emplacement pour découvrir la région de Blaye et les environs. Nous recommandons.

Très bel accueil de Christine qui, n'ayant pu se rendre disponible pour nous accueillir, avait préparé le poêle : il n'y avait plus qu'à craquer l'alumette ! Le logement est propre, fonctionnel, chaleureux et spacieux : parfait pour prendre un peu de repos, quelle que soit la météo. Nous avons également profité de notre séjour chez Christine pour nous rendre au Puy du Fou, situé à 25 minutes du logement. Les échanges avec Christine sont chaleureux et joviaux, encore merci pour tout !

Je recommande ce logement et accueil agréable.Valerie a été réactif à mes demandes. On a passé une très bonne semaine avec ma femme et mon enfant.

We stayed here for a week with a group of 12 and found the home to be perfectly sized. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out if wanted and still enough spaces for us all to come together. The grounds and area in general are stunning and very peaceful. You absolutely need a car to get around to anything. The nearest towns are small and charming and Tours is only about 40min away. It's important to note the second floor has 2 showers, so the bedrooms with the single beds (pink and green) must share with the turquoise room, or walk through the blue room to use theirs. The water is hot but the top floor has low pressure if anyone else is showering. The house and furnishings show their age but it's very comfortable and charming. All of Pierre's recommendations were lovely - we did the carriage ride and hired a private chef (Morgan) both with great success. I would definitely recommend the stay again it was such a relaxing week and a great hub to all the Loire chateaux.

Hervorragende Unterkunft direkt auf dem Land. Sehr ruhig gelegen und auch für längere Aufenthalte gut geeignet. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und haben wertvolle Tipps für die Gegend erhalten. Vielen Dank an die Familie von Jean-Baptiste für diesen erholsamen Aufenthalt!

An amazing property in a peaceful location. Erica and Dave welcomed us and made us feel at home immediately and were on hand for any help we needed. The renovations are to a high standard and make for a comfortable and well appointed stay. The pool is massive. The covered outdoor areas are great for when the weather isn't behaving itself and the hot-tub is perfect to relax in. Plenty of towns and villages to explore nearby, with La Rochelle and Bordeaux not too far away. Lots of "vide-greniers' in the area to visit on a Sunday when most other things are closed.

We spent a night at Virginia’s place and we did not want to leave, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The parking was easy and next to the property and Virginia greeted us on our arrival. The property was amazing and the grounds very extensive with lovely views. We would definitely stay here again if ever we are in the area. Thank you for the gift Virginia, it was lovely to meet you 😊

Alfie and I had a great time at Lee's immaculate courtyard cottage while house hunting in the area. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. A lovely, cosy place and a much appreciated and unexpected tipple awaited us after a long drive, which was very welcome! Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of decor and bed linen is first class. We are looking forward to our next stay again soon. Highly recommended.

We were met by his beautiful dogs on arrival making us feeling immediately welcome, followed by Gideon who welcomed us like we were part of the family. Gideon and his wife couldn’t have done enough, always being around for a chat, or just for a quick wave and smile. This truly is the most peaceful and beautiful setting to escape the reality of city life. The house its self was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and exposed original brick, they have got the perfect balance of rustics and contemporary. We couldn’t fault a thing and whoever gets to stay here next, is sure to love it just as much as we did!

Virginie's place just outside Saint Emilion is a beautiful place to stay. Surrounded by vines on this working winery. the cottage is very spacious and has all the amenities we need. It was lovely to sit outside, surrounded by vines on a sunny afternoon, with a wine, playing a game of Bocce ! This is a much better option than staying in Saint Emilion, which is less than a 5 min drive away Would highly recommend Virginie's place to enjoy a wonderful few days in Saint Emilion

Accueil chaleureux accompagné de bon conseil pour une promenade aux alentours, le logement est fidèle à la description dans l'annonce, les produits et équipements de base sont présents dans le logement, les lits sont faits à l'arrivée: ce qui est très plaisant, logement lumineux, la douche est spacieuse, le coin couchage "cabane" est super, l'environnement est agréable et calme, le garage est un plus. A noté que malgré les stores, nous avons été réveillé par la lumière du jour (mais nous sommes habitués au noir total), ça n'a aucunement dérangé notre séjour.

Une belle prestation pour ce gîte très agréable et paisible dans un bel environnement.

We had an amazing stay here, the home is beautiful and the pool is relaxing. it is very clean and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. I appreciated how organized our host was and the options for children's amenities, it made everything so easy.

The location was convenient for walking into the little village of Cubjac with many surrounding towns within an hours drive. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed which was perfect as we cooked most of our meals at the house. We also appreciated the charcoal grill. The property was absolutely stunning. We were in awe of the main house as we drove up the driveway. We enjoyed walking around the garden and on the trails in the surrounding woods. The bed was comfortable and the dining room, living room, and outdoor seating was perfect for 2 couples. The bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was good for showers. We did learn that you won’t get hot water if you try to shower while the dishwasher is running. 😂 Communication with Catherine and Maxence was great. They were always responsive and Maxence very insightfully helped us plan our itineraries for several day trips including markets, wineries, hikes, and gardens.
