Family-friendly holiday rentals in Poitou-Charentes

Stephane and Sylvie were amazing hosts. They gave us great local recommendations, organised a personal winery tour for us and booked in a massage. The location is beautiful, peaceful setting and the pool was fantastic. We booked to have breakfast one morning - it was stunning. Beautiful presentation and lovely food. We highly recommend staying here - truley relaxing.

What a great place, surrounded by nature, it feels like you’re away from it all, we’d definitely come back.

Excellent séjour chez Sophie, le logement est idéal pour un couple, il y a tout comme chez soi. Environnement très calme, et le restaurant recommandé par Sophie était excellent.

Words cannot describe how peaceful and relaxing our stay was at Patrice’s home. Our dogs absolutely loved the big backyard and my husband and I loved being in such a cozy and comfortable home. Patrice was so kind to us and checked in on us to make sure that everything was going smoothly. I would recommend this stay to anyone! Thank you Patrice for such a wonderful time!

Julian’s place was most peaceful and relaxing. We stayed a week but could have stayed longer. We had all the amenities we wanted and feel that the gite is very good value for money. The weather was unseasonably cool, but we still enjoyed swimming in the unheated pool. There are two outdoor spaces which we used each day. For cooler weather there is a substantial wood burner.

Une parenthèse enchantée à la cabane au bord de l'étang ! Nous avons passé de superbes moments proches de la nature. Un accueil chaleureux de la part de Sara, avec un pain au levain excellent. L'accès est simple et rapide à ce cocon de verdure. La cabane est douce et pleine de charme. Nous avons pu l'apprécier sous le soleil, mais aussi se blottir dedans pendant une soirée orageuse, c'était formidable et si cosy, la cabane est très bien isolée ; mais au besoin, le poêle était déjà prêt pour chauffer cet endroit douillet (nous n'en avons pas eu besoin.). Nous nous y sommes sentis chez nous. Il y a de nombreux coins et recoins pour profiter de ce havre de paix, observer la nature et adopter un mode de vie tout en tranquillité. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu et sa charmante hôtesse. Merci d'avoir créé cet endroit.

4 jours en famille dans ce merveilleux gîte de la maison rouge. Le logement est très spacieux et a beaucoup de cachet (maison classée), idéalement situé pour se balader dans chinon à pied et pour rayonner dans la région. Il y a tous les équipements nécessaires, la literie est confortable et l’appartement décoré avec goût. Merci à Nathalie et Vincent pour leur accueil chaleureux et leurs bons conseils, nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Le logement est confortable et décoré avec soin. Si le temps le permet l’extérieur est charmant aussi. Marie-Noëlle nous a conseillé des balades dans le coin. La literie est également très bien. Nous reviendrons sans hesiter.

Such an amazingly charming and well decorated restored French country farmhouse located in a beautiful setting. Kudos to Eliane for her incredibly warm reception, tasty sparkling wine, the best freshly made crepes we had ever eaten and delicious goat cheese to welcome us. She also suggested a fantastic local restaurant and even helped us with the reservation. Her suggestion for a local winery was also gratrly appreciated, the experience with the owner was outstanding. We highly recommend staying there and would definitely return in the future. Absolutely the best! In fact, her gorgeous home, attention to detail, generous assistance and otherwise respect for our privacy exemplify the gold standard of how all Air B and Bs should aspire to emulate perfection.

Séjour incroyable, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous grâce à Colette qui a discrètement veillé à notre confort. Très arrangeante, elle a su s'adapter à nous, mettant à disposition tout le nécessaire pour notre enfant en bas âge. Nous n'avons eu à penser à rien, et simplement à profiter ! Et pour cela, un grand merci.

La maison est absolument conforme à l’annonce. Tout le confort s’y trouve pour accueillir une famille ou des amis (matériels de cuisine, jeux et accessoires pour les enfants, barbecue et fumoir). Le terrain est magnifique, très bien entretenu par Cathy et son mari. De plus, Cathy a été très accueillante, à l’écoute, dans le partage, toujours prête à repondre à la moindre question avec le sourire et le maximum de précision. Et enfin un grand merci à elle pour l’après midi passée à retirer avec délicatesse les échardes de la main de notre petit Eden. Nous reviendrons pour sûr!

Merci pour ce charmant cottage, nous y avons passé de très bons moments en famille. Le jardin est superbe, arboré, calme et agréable. La fraicheur de la maison est très agréable en été. Tout est conforme à la description, avec en bonus des bacs de jouets pour les enfants !! :)

L'hébergement en bord de rivière est magique, les hôtes supers et au taquet, on a passé un excellent (mais trop court) moment.

Our stay at La Maine was wonderful. Catherine and Maxence are excellent hosts, extremely welcoming and warm, but also very respectful of privacy. The cottage is impeccably decorated and comfortable -- we cooked a couple of meals after shopping at the farmer's market, and the kitchen was perfectly equipped. Cubjac is small, but inviting -- be sure to go to the bakery, to the farmer's market, and to the Tabac for aa coffee. Catherine and Maxence had great recommendations for restaurants and outings -- every one of their suggestions was 100%. Our only regret is that we didn't plan a longer stay! Thank you to our new friends in Cubjac -- and Lila and Iris, of course.

We stayed here for a week with a group of 12 and found the home to be perfectly sized. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out if wanted and still enough spaces for us all to come together. The grounds and area in general are stunning and very peaceful. You absolutely need a car to get around to anything. The nearest towns are small and charming and Tours is only about 40min away. It's important to note the second floor has 2 showers, so the bedrooms with the single beds (pink and green) must share with the turquoise room, or walk through the blue room to use theirs. The water is hot but the top floor has low pressure if anyone else is showering. The house and furnishings show their age but it's very comfortable and charming. All of Pierre's recommendations were lovely - we did the carriage ride and hired a private chef (Morgan) both with great success. I would definitely recommend the stay again it was such a relaxing week and a great hub to all the Loire chateaux.
