Pilot Cove offered my family of 4 (plus dog) a wonderful experience at the doorstep to Pisgah and Brevard. Loved being close to the Hub and the food and coffee truck at the bottom of the hill were great. I enjoyed drinking an Americano from the coffee truck on my way into the Forest or after a long trail run on the Art Loeb trail. The walking trails on the property were the perfect place to walk the dog (though several downed trees cross the path). The house was simple but fit ours needs as we spent most of our time outdoors. Overall we loved Pilot Cove and will be back!

Cute little cabin in a peaceful spot just outside of Pisgah National Forrest. Close to delicious food trucks and even downtown Brevard. We were able to rest and enjoy equally with this stay.

Kathleen place is very nice. My Family and I enjoy the home and the beach. I can't speak for the restaurants in the area because we mostly cooked, oh Big Daddys has nice fish tacos. The seafood markets are very reasonable. The elevator was definitely a plus. The bikes and all the amenities I mean you don't need to bring anything like chairs or beach items, Kathleen has it all. Beds where comfortable. We just loved the house. Kure Island is not a place I would return too not that I had issues from anyone it just to far from the Airport. All and All Kathleen was very responsive to anything if needed. Thank you again Kathleen for EVERYTHING😃 Ms. Taylor

Wow, a great place where you can become one with nature. You find yourself immersed in taking in the views morning, noon, and night. Pilot Cove is a peaceful community and had feel of a place tucked well into the mountains but just on the edge of town. A true favorite!

My husband and I recently stayed at Pilot Cove, seeking some much-needed relaxation and a chance to connect with nature. This retreat was everything we hoped for and more. The room was incredibly comfortable, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that made our stay truly rejuvenating. One of the highlights of our stay was the fully equipped kitchen. It was fantastic to have the option to cook our own meals, which not only added a homey feel to our stay but also helped us save money on dining out. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was a wonderful surprise. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, there were a couple of areas for improvement. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the floors needed a good vacuuming. However, these were minor issues in the grand scheme of things. Overall, Pilot Cove provided us with a perfect getaway. We left feeling relaxed and reconnected with nature. We will definitely be returning and recommend it to others.

Nicest hosts we’ve ever stayed- Christopher and his parents are gems. Didn’t hurt that there was a free bag of vigilante coffee out, either. With bikes and beach chairs and easy access points on both sound/ocean side of kill devil hills, this made for the perfect beach vacation. The unit was spotless and easy to access, beds are comfortable. Lots of places to sit outside. 10/10 recommend.

Lirio Woods was a great stay for my boyfriend and me! We appreciated the little details (i.e., pre-filled ice cube trays, laundry basket, room heaters, dryer balls for your down jackets, extra/sorted firewood, recycling bins, marked/lit parking space, etc.) that made the trip more comfortable and convenient. There were lots of helpful info cards for the amenities. The fireplace was already set up the night we checked into the stay. Although it only has a kitchenette, there were enough appliances and kitchenware to make meals and reheat leftovers--induction burner and toaster oven came in handy. The place was in a quiet location away from road noise but easy to venture into nearby towns. Thank you so much, Katie, for hosting us! We appreciated your excellent/efficient communication during our stay. Highly recommend staying at Lirio Woods!

Thank you for everything! The only problem we had was an outside deck blind blew down during the night, but it really didn’t affect the trip and didn’t look damaged..my mom left a note about it I believe…otherwise, great experience overall and would definitely recommend

We couldnt have been happier with our stay. We loved the idea of "no screens" for pur visit. We were traveling to the area to spend time with our grandchildren. They loved the place and stayed with us every night we were there! We truly made lifetime memories there. Our son called a couple days after we left to tell us the grandkids ask if they can go by Pappap abg Jojos house, lol.

We had a wonderful time at Christine’s place! It was beautifully decorated, had everything we needed, lovely furniture for outside dining, and just steps away from the beach - we would definitely book here again!

Absolutely LOVED this cozy cabin. It was everything we wanted and needed for a lovely Christmas vacay especially the fireplace. Burned a great fire all day every day during our stay. Highly recommend this private, serene forest oasis and definitely plan to go back.

Our stay was outstanding! The place was immaculately clean, it was very comfortable, my son and I enjoyed everything about Shirley’s place. Our next trip to Charlotte, we will definitely contact Shirley first to see if this location is available. I would recommend anyone to stay at this location because it was outstanding.

The house had breathtaking views, great outdoor seating, and a nice layout for multiple families. The kitchen was fully stocked and having fridges on both floors help maximize the time on the decks or by the fire pit. The kids loved the ping pong and shuffleboard tables! The steps to the dock were as advertised (200+) but worth it! We will be back for sure!!!

our family absolutely loved staying here. the home is decorated beautifully! we felt right at home. had all the basics needed for a great stay. the home was very clean and comfortable. we loved the lake and the dock. spent many hours on the dock and our kids enjoyed the lake. so peaceful and relaxing! Definitely want to stay again.

Amazing stay! House was beautiful, spotless. The deck was a dream- even on a rainy morning we were able to be outside - cozy and so relaxing. We loved being on such a peaceful cove. We took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks provided. Great fun. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need! Rebecca even provided a book full of local recommendations for food and drinks- we tried several - all were fantastic. From start to finish Rebecca was communicative and helpful. We had a blast and would absolutely recommend!!

The location was ideal for our needs-great biking trails and fishing near by. We will be back and hopefully the rain won’t! The apartment was lovely!

Great home, easy walk to downtown restaurants, and close to everything else in Waynesville. Beautiful home with every amenity, great appliances, and nice little touches!

Awesome place to spend spring break with friends!

Perfect location to explore up and down OBX! Quieter than Nags Head and close to Kitty Hawk. Small space but had everything I needed: a bed, couch, kitchen with pots and dishes, clean bathroom, good water pressure in the shower and water stays hot. Washer/dryer but my detergent and dryer sheets were packed too deep in my car so didn’t end up doing laundry. A “need to know” for my fellow dog people: the studio unit is attached to another 1-2 units (shares a wall) and shares an open backyard. Wasn’t an issue for us, just a little barking from the other dog, but wanted to share in case it’s important for your dog, as I’m sure it is for many. Also, watch out for sand spurs in the yard. 10/10 would stay here again!

We had a great time at Sondra's place. Great views of the lake, super clean, beautiful home. Ladies enjoyed getting on the water to paddleboard while the guys golfed nearby. Such a relaxing and beautiful place to spend our vacation, I'd definitely stay here again.

The Beach Nest was the perfect place to spend a week’s vacation at OIB with our dog. The house was very clean, the neighborhood was quiet, and the fenced in back yard was great for throwing some ball for the dog. The house is located close to OIB, Sunset Beach, Calabash, and several great restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

From start to finish the house and property did not disappoint. It was bright and clean and couldn't be closer to the beach. Our dog and us humans enjoyed the decks and sleeping with the windows and doors open. We will book this 100% for our next visit.
