Cottage holiday rentals in North Carolina

The Red Cottage was a solid stay. My son and I needed somewhere for a quick one night get away and thankfully we found the cottage. Feels like you’re miles away from downtown and a beautiful space. Lots to do within walking distance.

Staying at this Airbnb felt like a true escape. The location couldn't have been better – being mere steps from the beach was such a treat, allowing for spontaneous walks and the calming sound of the waves. It was wonderful to find such a genuinely dog-friendly place; my pups absolutely loved it, which made the stay even more enjoyable for me. The entire atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and I found the off-season to be a particularly lovely time to visit, with beautiful weather and a sense of peacefulness. The property itself had everything I could possibly need, making it easy to settle in and feel comfortable. Amy was fantastic – always communicative and helpful, ensuring a smooth and easy stay. While there were plenty of options for things to do in the area, I also appreciated the opportunity to simply unwind and work remotely in such a serene setting. The upper deck was my favorite spot for getting sun many hours of the day. I’ve stayed in many airbnbs and this is a favorite!

Very secluded and peaceful. Wish the weather had been better throughout our stay but it was very nice to wake up to the sound of the waves and nature. I will say if you have a toddler to make sure to take a safety gate. He made it a challenge wanting to climb the stairs so we went out to buy some for our stay. WiFi is spotty (which is a good thing) but I didn’t realize none of my messages were sent until this morning. My husband and son enjoyed some fishing and caught a few stingrays. I would love to go back later in the year.

This space is super-clean, spacious, well-appointed, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a place to come home to after working in the area every day!!! I looked forward to getting there every day! The response time was super quick when I had any questions at all! Grab Door Dash, go out, or cook in! All great possibilities when you stay in Hilary’s place! I can’t say enough about the classy feel of the space and the amenities! She even had bottles of water, snacks, and Lindt Chocolates!! Everything worked famously! The home is super bright with beautiful sunshine when the curtains are open. The back door (9-pane) and the front door (3 slit panes) windows have no covering, so they add extra sunshine to the space! The couch and master room (was just me) bed (with very nice linens) are both super comfy. The bathroom, & all its accoutrements, felt like pure luxury! Also, plenty of storage space to stretch and put my things away, as if I was home!

Nice quiet spot walkable to downtown Weaverville. Easy drive to Asheville. Jay's instructions were super simple and easy to understand. I appreciate his communication and assistance!

My husband and I had a perfect time in black mountain. Love the nature around the house. Clean environment. Perfect Airbnb.

The cottage was cozy and outside was breathtaking. Outside there’s a little waterfall that’s beautiful and hydrangea bushes in bloom. Everything was amazing. The only we noticed was the hot tub needed to be cleaned (little debris and hair) but we didn’t notice until very late that evening when my husband and I were about to get in (wasn’t a big deal). Everything in the cottage is clean. The cottage is cozy and very affordable. We stayed one night and it was very close to downtown and Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.

We enjoyed our stay so much! Can’t wait to stay again in October for the wedding weekend. It was a peaceful spot, and beautiful design. The beds were comfortable, and the house felt nice and cool! We were about 10 minutes away from downtown Elkin Restaurants. Great spot!

Felt right at home. Our second time here. Perfect setting for a quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle. Plenty of towels and very clean. Our go to when we’re looking for a cozy cabin in this area.

Great little beach house, it was cozy and relaxing. We stayed for 6 nights and it had everything we needed for a great beach vacation. This was the cleanest AirBnB I have stayed in at CB. It was an easy 6-7 minute walk to the beach and boardwalk. The patio is so relaxing in the morning and at night. We would definitely stay again.

The attention to detail is immaculate, so clean and such a wonderful spot. Close to the BRP. Goshen Creek right behind it, moo cows in the field nearby. All the amenities you need, the starter stuff you can use, and the wonderful welcoming makes you quite at home! Thanks for allowing us a visit!

The airbnb was very cute; the property was lovely. We were about a minute walk to the lake, which was visible from the kitchen. The owner had a few emus, chickens, minature goats and a big, friendly white dog. We were fairly close to downtown New Bern (by car). We ran into John coming back from the lake, and he was very friendly/nice. It was a grest experience all around.

This is our third year enjoying the Egret/Sandpiper cottages. Mike is an excellent host, always responsive and helpful. The cottage is clean, cozy, and relaxing with lots of amenities……just steps from the beach. This truly is a hidden gem.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

A clean and quiet beach house on the main drag in Topsail Island. The house was perfect for our family and was clean and inviting. It has a large wrap-around deck that is great for morning coffee. The beach access is a very short walk from the house making it convenient for any needed trips back from a day at the ocean. The house is a short drive to shopping and restaurants. Landon was quick to respond when we had a question. It was a great find!

We absolutely LOVED this cottage on the lake! The view was beautiful, and the kids caught a lot of fish off of the dock! It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. Jack was a great host. Very responsive and hospitable. Already talking about when we can come back!

Wonderful location with beautiful views and close to plenty of places to visit and eat. This is my second year staying here and I plan to be back.

I've stayed at many AirBnB locations and this is one of the best! Easy to find, 7 minutes from downtown Boone, AMAZING View from the porch. Super clean, full kitchen with lots of dishes/utensils. Will be my first check to see if available next time I am in Boone. Cannot recommend enough.

Me and my group stayed at Averee and Tim’s place for three days, and we absolutely adored it! The location was exactly what we wanted, a little removed but still close enough to town for comfort. The home was beautifully decorated, and we appreciated the time that must have gone into creating such a lovely experience for their guests. We cannot recommend this place enough! Peaceful, cozy, and the hosts were lovely as well. Perfect!

This place was perfect for my husband and I. We wanted a place to land at the end of the day that was comfortable and convenient. Super cute studio apartment!
