Holiday rentals with an accessible-height bed in North Carolina

The booking process start to check in to check out was easy. Clean, modern unit. Host was proactive when we accidentally parked in the wrong parking area. Dog friendly unit which is a bonus for our family, but it didn’t feel “doggy”.

For just two people, great place to stay. I love how comfortable the bed was! The walk is indeed a very short walk! The host was super helpful and recommended so many places to eat. Def book with her!

This is a great spot for a family of four. The beds were comfortable. The space was big enough to spread out a little bit. The view from the deck is great as well. If you don't mind being 30 minutes away, this is a great place to stay while visiting Asheville. It's about an hour from Looking Glass Falls too. It's also a beautiful drive to the Tail of the Dragon from here. If you're coming from Raleigh this makes for a much shorter drive home after spending a day driving near the Dragon.

A truly accessible Airbnb! I was traveling with a family member in a larger electric wheelchair, and she was able to comfortably stay here. This place looks exactly like the pictures, but it has more natural light in person.

Excellent place to stay, my gf and I found that it was exactly as described and there was literally no issues with check in or the place itself. Very clean and we felt right at home. Will stay again in the future.

I did not interact with the host very often because it was a short stay, but she was responsive to the few inquiries I had. The house was within walking distance of the venue, Third Room, which made exploring Asheville fun and purposeful as we meandered to the event we were in town for. It was also close enough for an inexpensive Uber back. The home was functional and friendly for our brief visit. I will be visiting Asheville often. This will be near the top of the list if I need room for three or more.

truly dedicated to the craft of hosting. I've never come across someone who takes as much pride as Stephen does in hosting. The space was extremely charming, and Stephen is a fantastic communicator. I took time to read a section of his memoir, dedicated to his experience with hosting. I was enamoured with the humour and heartfelt experiences that seem to crop up when one runs such a unique and compelling place to stay. I will certainly be back if I find myself in need of a place to stay in Durham again.

Luke’s beautiful, cozy home is the most PERFECT place to stay. The entire house is so comfortable and roomy. The bedrooms and bathrooms are awesome and the kitchen is breathtaking. The outside, covered porch is a fantastic way to end your day or having coffee in the morning. The house is close to so many restaurants, beaches and things to do especially in Historic Downtown Wilmington, NC. I highly recommend this beautiful home for your next stay. I wish there were more than 5 stars for a review. This home is absolutely PERFECT!!!

Wonderful place to stay. The hosts were very communicative and the house was absolutely gorgeous. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

We stayed here with 12 of our family members for graduation and it was the perfect place for all of us! The kitchen was great. We loved the outdoor space (and the hot tub). They’ve done a great job preserving the historic nature of the house while also updating- my Aunt was raving about how much she loved the shower! We loved that we could walk to the farmers market on Saturday morning! Taylor was so responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you!

Staying at Anthony’s was like stepping back to a more gracious time ( with all the modern conveniences) . Sitting on the front porch for morning coffee & afternoon tea , looking through the trees draped in Spanish moss , was a rare gentle & civilized ‘ southern treat ‘ for all of us. Many thanks!

Very private location, backs up to a large wooded area, lots of space to spread out, walk, grill, have a nice fire in the fire pit… love the neighborhood very quiet at night and private in the day. The house is great, good floor plan for a medium to large sized family. Felt right at home with everything. Would stay here again!

Exceeded our expectations even with less than stellar weather. The home is much bigger than it appears in the photos. Everything in the house was clean and in working order. Pantry/Laundy room was stocked with all the might needs and easy to locate everything. We kept busy for hours working through the supply of puzzles. Super private home, but only minutes from the Walmart was quite the luxury. Communication was so good that we never even had to ask a question as everything was covered clearly. We hope to visit again.

Our stay was very peaceful and pleasant. The home was very clean and inviting. The hot tub was an amazing relaxing experience and was clean and ready upon arrival. The yard area was beautiful with lots of flowers and scenery. Michael was very informative about this to do in the area and directions to close stores and restaurants. I would surely recommend this home as a place to stay, a home away from home!

Location was perfect! We loved having direct access to an ocean view. Very easy walk to the beach each day. The condo was very clean and tidy. We would definitely stay again.

Super cute mountain-themed, dog-friendly two story condo with a very responsive and accommodating host! The balcony, the view, and the fireplace were everything! There are shared walls with neighbors but I never heard them. There is also a nice dead-end gravel road behind the condo that made for a great little walk with our dogs.

Jody was super friendly and very responsive to any questions that I had. The rental was immaculately clean, with nice furnishings and a comfy bed. I would definitely recommend The Snug or any of Jody’s other listings at The Shaded Crest.

Our family enjoyed our stay so much! The view was STUNNING and the room was clean and so neat! Being so close to the beach was absolutely perfect!!! We had plenty of room for our family of four and we plan on coming back and staying here again! It truly was an amazing vacation and we were so thankful for our home away from home :)
