I cannot say enough good things about this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity we could have needed – and then some. It truly felt like a home away from home. Don was incredibly welcoming, responsive, thoughtful and making sure our stay was comfortable from start to finish. The location was ideal – peaceful and safe, and only 10 minutes from the VT campus. We were there to celebrate our son’s graduation with our family and it was perfect. So much better than staying at a hotel! This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had, and we would return in a heartbeat. If you’re considering booking a place close to Blacksburg, don’t hesitate – it’s an absolute gem!

Had a great stay! It felt super comfortable. We had the easiest check in, we’ve ever had on Airbnb which was a plus after a long drive. The rooms/beds were comfortable and spacious. The washer & dryer was great along with the hot tub. It was super easy to come and go with the check in. There is 1 place that’s mainly a bar with food & that’s about it for food nearby. i’d say that’s the only con but given the area of wv it’s understandable just buy groceries! had a great stay, would come again.

This place was a gem. The views were absolutely stunning—whether it was sunrise with coffee or winding down in the evening, the scenery never got old. Inside, it felt like home from the moment I walked in. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together with everything I needed. You can tell the host really cares about creating a welcoming space. That’s why we’ve rented this place in the past as well.

My family and I booked Kimberly’s place for my birthday, the house was a lot bigger than I expected we had so much fun! The photos don’t do this house justice! We decided to stay an extra night once we got there, Kimberly was very helpful during our stay! I recommend this place to anyone and we definitely will be back!

We had a great time staying at Dwayne’s place! Beautiful views of the lake in the evenings and plenty of golf courses within a 30 minute radius. Will definitely be back!

Brookwood was an awesome place to host our family of 12 (7 adults, 5 children) for a week long stay. There is enough space to spread out and do different things as well as a huge kitchen table to eat at and hang out and play cards at the end of the night. The house is eclectic and has so many points of interest. The pool and the creek were highlights for us. I think the boys fished almost every day, and all of us used the pool for hours on end. There was ample space for yard games and a fire for making smores. Parking was easy and spacious. Another plus is the proximity to Roanoke, which has grocery stores, restaurants and fishing spots. We found the kitchen to be stocked with most every amenity that we needed. I believe we cooked full meals 4 of the seven nights we were there. The scent free requirement was not an issue at all. Plenty of dish soap, hand soap and shampoo for all of us.

Very nice place for a relaxing place to call home. Very clean home inside and out. Pool very clean. Hot tub very clean as well. Zip line was fun for my first time ever. You won’t be bored at this place. Highly recommend. Would like to go again when we go visit and bring my daughter next time.

Special VT graduation weekend made even more special with our stay at Walnut Hill Lodge. The house was immaculate and well equipped for a family retreat. The mountain views out the windows and from all the surrounding decks were spectacular. We watched the farm dogs herd sheep from one pasture to another, and appreciated the beauty of the surrounding working farm. Michelle was a great host with wonderful recommendations for the local market and waterfall hike. Thanks for a memorable stay at your property.

Fantastic! Quiet and peaceful location to simply relax and unwind, with comfy beds and couches plus shaded outdoor seating. Less than 15 minutes from Floyd, so lots of restaurants and shops near and well as grocery stores and farms/farmers markets. Not only was the place exactly as advertised, but the host went above and beyond to help us get our flat tire (from the trip there) patched. Felt right at home and would definitely stay again!

Quiet home in a peaceful location about 39 minutes from Virginia Tech. The home was clean and had a well appointed kitchen, including a table for six. The home had plenty of parking on the driveway.

If you’re looking for a peaceful escape that feels like stepping into a storybook, this is it! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by its whimsical charm — every detail feels thoughtfully curated, playful, and cozy, like a fairytale come to life. The atmosphere is tranquil, and as the sun sets, fireflies dance through the yard, adding to the dreamlike quality of this special place. The cabin is not just beautiful — it's incredibly comfortable, with high-end finishes that make the entire space feel luxurious, warm, and inviting. The main bedroom is what dreams are made of: plush bedding, gorgeous lighting, and views that make it hard to leave in the morning. Located just 30 minutes from Grayson Highlands State Park, it’s a perfect home base for hiking adventures. But truthfully, we found ourselves spending most of our time simply enjoying the cabin itself! We played cornhole in the yard, grilled delicious meals, and spent hours on the front porch soaking in the serenity.

CJ has a very unique place, it was the perfect place to stay for our halfway mark on our trip. The kids were able to run around the beautiful property and they loved the donkeys and goats. The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed and more. You can’t beat the views from every part of this place.

Henry and Lisa are great hosts. He is good at responding and he writes very detailed responses. The home is large and roomy, with a great view of Claytor Lake and has a private beach with fire pit and dock with a water slide. We happened to be there during a water festival and the nightime boats and fireworks you can watch from the house and yard. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had such a wonderful time! The home was clean and beautiful, plenty to do there at the home and in the surrounding areas. Even with the many homes on the street, it felt private and relaxing the entire weekend. The host, Joe, was also so friendly! He gave us a tour when we got there, was extremely helpful, and he even helped us start our fire in the fire pit when he saw we were struggling. Wonderful place, great hospitality, would absolutely book this place again! Thank you Joe!

We stayed at this home for my son's Graduation at Virginia Tech. This home was very nice, clean, and convenient to VA Tech. Extremely quiet. Would recommend to anyone.

We were in town for our daughters graduation in Blacksburg. This house was a convenient distance, about 25 min from VT and met all our needs. Its really a hidden gem if you are looking to house family who are coming to the area to celebrate or heading to a game at lane stadium. The living space is cute and tidy and the beds are comfy. There is a goreous deck at offers pretty views and is the perfect place for a glass of wine at sunset. And the owners were so nice and accommodating! I highly recommend this property. ( *My only caveat is that there are a lot of stairs to the house from the parking area that might be hard for an elderly person.)

Sam's house is super cute, well laid out and very clean. The NRV trail is right across the road and very nice to hike with family, the water views are beautiful and it was very peaceful. We would definitely stay again when we come back to the mountains!

Easy to get to! Comfortable for all. 3 full baths made it easy to shower in good timing. 19 yr old twins enjoyed the privacy of the downstairs. Unfortunately our trip was cut short with car issues and arrival times. We paid way too much but that was not the fault of the hosts. Husband and son Arrived a day late and left a day early 🤦‍♀️They were responsive and helped with our car issues. Very friendly and live near which was helpful.

Great Airbnb! I've stayed in many over the years, and this is near the top of the list. Pat made check in very easy. House was as described and more! 10/10 would recommended.

A perfect place to reunite with family. Come prepared to hike, rest, eat, and relax. The property and home were so much nicer than pictures can show. Perfect great room for conversation while admiring the beautiful mountains and valley. Comfy beds. High end kitchen perfect for cooking together as a family. Jeff and Allie were great at communication and about attention to detail. We all said we’d like to return.

Tom and Cindy’s home was absolutely amazing. If you love the outdoors and beautiful views, you must go! It is worth every penny.
