Great house in a private rural setting. Always clean, feels like home. George is a great host.

This converted barn was a lovely weekend getaway. It is secluded and very private which is just what we were looking for. The home was exceptionally clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. I appreciated the little touches like a few snacks and water on arrival and the makings for s'mores for the outdoor firepit. The kitchen was well stocked, along with spices in the cabinet and condiments in the fridge for use. The bathroom had ample towels and soap, shampoo, and conditioner available. The first floor: living area with couch, chair, and TV. The kitchen, bathroom, and sitting area on the second floor. The bedroom is on the third floor, and one must climb a ladder type stair to access it. The ceiling is low up there, so if you are tall, watch your head. Hopefully, you're nimble since waking at night to use the bathroom might be a challenge for some. There are few amenities nearby, so you may want to purchase your food and other items ahead. Lewistown has the nearest decent restaurants.

Love the cozy pocket of the forest in this lil getaway! The heated floors was a super perk! Stylish, trendy, cozy and quaint. The tub is dreamy, the tankless water heater gives unlimited hot water! I was so relaxed post soaking! If youre in Mifflintown youve got to stay here! Absolutely worth it!

Everything about this experience was excellent. Communication with the owners was perfect, questions answered quickly, booking very east, beautiful apartment with beautiful views, we even had the friendliest dig meet us and slept outside the door all night. There were snacks in the table and farm fresh eggs and milk in the fridge, k-cups and sleepy tea on the counter to enjoy! Upon leaving we noticed a table by the entrance to the driveway with begonias and geraniums for sale by their son, which we couldn’t pass up. Bought several to take back to NC to plant in our yard so we could remember this awesome experience! Thanks to this family for being so hospitable!
