Bill & Fran are such lovely, welcoming hosts. On arrival they showed us round the property, explaining how the TV & Hot tub worked & made a big fuss of our dog, who always appreciates a good fuss ☺️ The property is compact, but comfortable & the hot tub was much needed & enjoyed after our long drive. Thank you very much both & it was really lovely to meet you

Would wholeheartedly recommend Michelle’s place to anybody looking for a quiet place to rest in Scotland. I had booked The Haven as a place for me and my band to sleep whilst on tour and it was ideal. Slamannan itself is a sleepy little village and is very peaceful. Local shops are walkable and it’s situated pretty much half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh. We were driving so I can’t comment on public transport links, though Falkirk High train station is approximately 20 minutes away by car. The place was very clean and rooms exactly as described. There appears to be a lot of history in the building and this added to the allure for me. Would happily stay here again and Michelle was a delight to correspond with.

We had a lovely visit to Blackridge. The property was in a rural setting. Up a long private road so we was happy we had the car. We laughed when we got back from shopping with icecream lollies, to find there was no freezer. So we had to have icecreams for lunch, which wasn't a problem in the end. The property had everything we needed and more, with board games, a lovely starter pack of bread butter milk and eggs was much appreciated. We came and went as we pleased and the location was perfectly in between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Duncan was very informative and welcoming. Perfect little weekend had by all for of us.
