I would definitely recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again , the host was so friendly and accommodating and the house was extremely beautiful , clean and comfortable.

Fay’s house is very special, you can tell they have put so much love, time and effort to build this house. It’s a piece of art, truly! The road to get there is bumpy, but expected and we’ve received a lot of instructions on how to get there and how to be best prepared so it was totally fine. It’s a very remote and unique location with incredible private views on Volcano Arenal. We got to see monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds (and many other birds), in the morning sipping our coffee on the porch which was magical. The trail in front of the house to get to the creek is a bit tough to find when it’s been raining a lot (which was the case). The kitchen was well equipped and ready if you want to cook a nice meal at home. However, you probably need to double check the plates, cutlery and give it another wash if you’re going to use it. Overall, a beautiful house nested in the middle of the jungle, ideal to disconnect, enjoy being in the middle of the jungle and relax.

We loved our time in El Castillo and our stay with Silvia. It was exactly as advertised and was the perfect location to do all our planned adventures. Great wifi made our kids happy. And coffee with a view made the adults happy. Away from the busyness of Fortuna, we had perfect views of the volcano. The birds and monkeys in the morning were a highlight! Silvia was very responsive and her recommendations were great.
