Clean and Convenient This place worked really well for my daughter and I while she attended a camp at SIU. It was very clean, had ample towels, and all that we needed for our 5-night stay. Having laundry on-site was very much appreciated. My daughter LOVED the swings in the common area and used them every day and/or sat in that area to read. I enjoyed Common Grounds, the coffee shop nearby. Internet was reliable and worked great for my working remotely. Other reviews mention the wall unit AC noise, but it was no bother for us - the noise was just a constant hum, unlike hotels that have units which turn off and on. We would choose this place again, if back in the area. Thanks, Allison, for a great stay!

We were in town for a girls get away with some hiking and Twisted Sister was perfect! Such a beautiful setting and so close to the places we wanted to go. It was super easy to get in, very clean, and had everything we needed to cook for ourselves as we prefer to do. We also enjoyed strawberries from Flamm Orchard, and great hikes at nearby Little Grand Canyon and Cove Hollow, plus of course Giant City State Park. Candace was an excellent hostess. She lives next door but gave us complete privacy. And when I had questions or wanted recommendations she was super responsive. It made us feel safe and cared for. It is so nice that she shares her beautiful property with guests in this way. We will be back!

My husband and I had the best time at the barn bunkie! It was exactly what we were looking for - Quiet, relaxing and cute. We pulled up and were greeted by the world’s sweetest pets! 2 fluffy, friendly dogs and a very chatty cat. It didn’t stop there. Goats and horses galore! My husband works with horses so he loved that. I gravitated towards the goats as they are one of my favorite animals. The bunkie was cozy and had everything you need for a (somewhat) off-the-grid vacation (we recommend bringing a few board games as there is no tv). There is a ladder to get up to the bedroom, but it added to the fun! The bed is very comfortable. Keith and Becky were great hosts! Both very friendly and had great recommendations for food, vineyards and shopping. We will definitely be back!

Perfect peaceful place to stay while we did some hiking and then wine trails. Everything was as described and all drawers and light switches were labeled which was really nice.
