Holiday rentals with lake access in Danbury

It’s feels like pressure to write a review that stands up to ALL the other incredible reviews. I suppose we should stop there because that says it all. But we will add this: Ellie and Tower either wrote the book on hospitality or they read it 100 times. There is no doubt you will get the sense that everything is done with an eye to making you happy and comfortable…. And they do that in Spades. If this place caught your eye… act now… it will capture your heart as well.

Truly a five star experience. We had such a wonderful time here; the location is great, serene, quiet. We particularly enjoyed the kitchen and living room space with a beautiful private view. Fiber internet was surprisingly fast relative to our expectations for such a rural area. Next time we need a space in the area we'll stay here without hesitation.

Super clean, quiet and comfortable with lots of great touches. We didn’t get the best weather for lake life but the house made up for it nicely. Look forward to staying again someday!

We had an amazing stay! The location was amazing and the hot tub was perfect! Lots of fun activities to do in the area as well and Marissa gave so many great recommendations. My husband and I had a great time !

Very relaxing and peaceful stay at the Zenhouse for me, my husband and 3 month old boy. The guest house was relatively spacious and had all the amenities needed to relax with tea/coffee and grill food. Some of the fixtures in the guest house are a bit dated (e.g. bathroom, heater, etc.) but are all perfectly functional. The property is expansive with beautiful trees, streams and walkways throughout. Olga greeted us with a wonderful welcome including of the history of the property. We also enjoyed spotting the geese, chipmunks and other animals that roam around the grounds. We would come again when during warmer weather to enjoy the pool next time.

Excellent location with private pond. This home was truly built for a family gathering. Wonderful entertaining spaces, large fireplace with an expansive kitchen to cook in. There is a large game room with board games to suite all ages, billiards, croquet, and a small row boat for fun.

we had a lovely time at Seth’s cottage by the river. Everything was very well appointed and comfortable. I think the beds were the best I’ve had an Airbnb. There was easy access to new Paltz and kingston. I have no hesitation in recommending Seth’s place.

T was very helpful and polite during our stay. He was responsive to text and proactive in giving us instructions on how to use the amenities. The house was private and had a great view of the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend the place to others.

We absolutely loved our stay! The scenery was beautiful and so peaceful—it truly felt like a getaway. The canoes were such a fun and unique touch, and we had an amazing time using them. Our host was incredibly sweet, accommodating, and made everything so easy for us. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

We spent a peaceful five days relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of this cabin. Steven graciously accepted our last minute reservation and also our request to extend our stay since we were having such a lovely time. No one was staying in the main house while we were there so we had the grounds to ourselves. The cabin itself is spotless and minimalist, with everything you need to cook in the modern kitchen or grill outside. We stayed with our pup and enjoyed walking him five minutes down the road to explore the town park (we had it to ourselves in mid-May but imagine it’s much busier during the summer). WiFi is super fast and we were able to work remotely without issue.

We had two family events to attend during our stay. Erica was so helpful in getting back to me about the original availability of the apartment! It was a perfect place to relax sleep! Everything was clean and wonderful snacks! It made a great oasis to return to each day! Thanks for all of your attention to details! We appreciated Erica’s quick response during our stay! The view of the lake was amazing. She was very quick to respond if there was anything needed. I loved the recommendations that she sent over. We overall had a wonderful experience!

This is one of the best places I've stayed in a long time. Idyllic, pastoral... it was perfect. Just wish we could have spent longer there! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, and it's hard to argue with a host who keeps the second "B" in "BnB"! there were fresh eggs and milk and pancake mix provided. Our five year old liked watching the chickens and feeding them our food leftovers, and there's a great play area (unfortunately the weather didn't give us much of a chance to use it). We can't wait to find a time to come back! The only tricky bit is not getting confused by the driveway - the host's directions are PERFECT but it takes a sec to realize that you turn in and squiggle between other properties and only then you'll see things you recognize from the photos.

Easy check in and check out. Good location for what we were doing. Would stay again.

Great cozy spot to visit family, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and the highway. The apartment has a private entrance from the main house and has everything one would need for a stay.

The place was beautifully decorated and everything from the plants to the antiques was wonderful to see. This is the perfect place for any stay and they only ask that you respect the possessions. John was very responsive in helping us for a late check in.

WOW! Could not have been a more perfect stay! The setting was so beautiful, serene and peaceful. We had lot's of activity paddle boarding, kayaking, BBQing! Most of the time we were the only people on the lake. Early June was a perfect time to be there. It was just such a gorgeous and relaxing setting. The house was fabulous for our family reunion and ideal for our adventurous 1 year old. Our host was simply amazing. He had items delivered to our door when we had questions...even sent us a bag of groceries to make Smores on the lake! We hope to make this an annual event! We'll definitely be back.

Would highly recommend this home! We had dinner both nights at Artemios Prime and Proper…very good food! We had a wonderful conversation with one of the owners at the end of our meal the first evening! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Upper Greenwood Lake area!

We had a GREAT time at Feyza’s cabin. It was clean, quiet and exactly as described. We especially loved the secluded setting, the lake views and the jacuzzi. Feyza was helpful, communicative and very responsive. Her digital guidebook was very insightful as to the local attractions and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at this place for my husband's birthday, The house is beautiful and very quiet, I loved the interior and the view. The only things you need to be aware is the AC is located in the living room, inside the room you need to use fans or leave the door open

Great place to be with beautiful views of a private lake, gorgeous sunrises, cozy cottage and warm, electric fireplace a plus, full kitchen, near my family and friends, and my favorite places to hike and enjoy nature, easy access from route 84, very peaceful and tranquil and great hosts

Kelsey’s home was beautiful and cozy! So peaceful and perfect get away if youre looking to unwind and escape reality for a bit. She was also very kind and accommodating. We decided to go on our mini honey moon after our wedding ceremony took place locally and it was the best decision. She even left us a sweet hand written card that we found upon arrival. Couldn’t have asked for a better place or host to end our wedding weekend! We will definitely be back again.

What a wonderful and peaceful location! Doreen was very responsive and exceptionally helpful. The pictures are spot with a very clean and well stocked home. Amazing views from the bedroom and second floor deck. Amazing place to fish, kayak, and just enjoy the scenery! Enjoyed hiking nearby, great food in the area and a very scenic location to relax.
