Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Chincoteague

Beautiful house, clean, neat, and very well-appointed, just as advertised. Good location...I enjoyed being able to walk to get ice cream, while also being close to road to the beach. Jess was very responsive via e-mail.

This place had a great location; it was less than 10 minutes for the local restaurants and only a 15 drive to the beach. The kitchen had everything you needed, there was plenty of space for atleast 6 people (even though there was just the two of us). The airbnb itself was really charming. Host was amazing, really responsive and communicative. Their checkin and checkout procedures were really clear. My only “asterisk” is that since it is an older house and in the middle of a marshland basically, it was pretty humid inside. It seems normal for the area especially considering it was raining half of our stay. The AC boxes in every room definitely helped but just something to note about our stay. I’d recommend a dehumidifier to the hosts. Overall a great stay, would recommend this place to all when staying in Chincoteague!!

Great spot for a mother/daughters retreat. We enjoyed the cozy and cute decor and each having our own space in the Seaside Cottage. Also, the kitchen was will equipped and we made several meals together as a family. Just a short drive to everything on the island and super close to water and the Misty Pasture. Kathleen was a wonderful host— responsive and proactive throughout our stay. We had a wonderful visit!

We travel a lot. We spend a lot of nights in all sorts of rentals. Egrets at the Point is a crown jewel. It’s not the fanciest place we’re stayed in, but it felt like home, and the comfort level is off the charts. This is not a museum, it’s a home. There was plenty to love about Karen’s home. There was nothing missing. And if there is, Karen or Chris are just a few steps away. The town of Onancock is close by, a short drive or if you like to walk and watch nature, it’s a short stroll. Karen can answer pretty much any question you might have after reading the guide available after you check in. Visit. You’ll want to come back and wish you had stayed longer. We know we’ll be back!

Christy's Cottage was very comfortable and pet friendly. It was close to everything we wanted to do, and the kitchen was fully stocked. You can tell why she is considered a Superhost. We enjoyed our stay there, and would certainly consider returning. If you are going to see the ponies, we recommend Captain Mike with Up The Bay Pony Tours. Chincoteague and Assateague are lovely places to visit. Bring your camera if you are a nature lover. Pets aren't allowed on Assateague Island (not even in your car), but at Christy's we were able to leave our pups in their crates for a little while so that we go.

The living room and porch were terrific gathering spots. The beds were comfortable, kitchen was very well appointed and we were able to walk to some coffee shops, stores and restaurants. It was an exceedingly nice place to hang out and we appreciated that they had boogey boards, beach toys and beach chairs available.

The place was immaculate, and everything was in working order. The property is beautiful. I will stay there again next time I come to town.

Great stay on Saxis Island as always. Will always look forward to staying in one of Denise’s homes. Always so clean and comfortable. Little home away from home!

We had an excellent stay at the Fish House- right on the water with beautiful views and peaceful morning cups of coffee on the deck. Michelle was very responsive and provided great recommendations on everything from restaurants to kayaking spots. While the marina is a working business we did not find that it negatively impacted our stay and in fact it enhanced it since the employees there were very kind and courteous. We can't say enough about Michelle's hospitality- she has a true gift! We wanted to have direct access to abundant kayaking and this was for sure the spot to be. While we paddled the creek/inlet area we also found the Oyster Point paddling trail (just a few minutes down the road) to be a great excursion. We will be planning to return!

Great home base for a trip in ocmd. Very clean and the great location. We will definitely come back to stay for future trips!

Good place, nice and clean, well maintained as Airbnb type, freshly colored, several things to make place beautiful. Everything was there as described no surprises. I didn’t have to ask for anything during my stay, that made stay so much smooth.

Condo was exactly as described! Amazing oceanfront view! I was also impressed with how much room there was. It was cruiser week so it was a tad bit noisy at night, but other than that and the fact we couldn’t stay longer, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay!

Mary's place was everything we could've asked for. It had a well stocked kitchen, comfy bed, and nice shower. She was very communicative and we would love to stay again.

Had an amazing time at this beautiful beachfront Airbnb. The location couldn’t have been better, literally steps from the sand with stunning ocean views right from the balcony. The space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in a breeze. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind by the water.

Our stay here was perfect. It was exactly what we needed, and was accurately described. It is a fairly new place, and was extremely clean. There was no sulfer smell in the water, unlike the other Airbnb's we've stayed at in this area. The house and landscaping was beautiful and the decor was so tastefully well done. Bernadette was great, always friendly, and quick to respond. We hope to be able to return for another stay.

Donna & Neal’s “sweet suite” was absolutely PERFECT! Beautifully decorated to every detail to make you feel relaxed, cozy & at home! Donna was great at communicating check-in details & any other info or suggestions we may need. We were able to meet Donna & Neal, they are the most kind & sweet people! The suite was VERY clean & free of any chemical cleaner smell like another review mentioned & I really appreciated that. We loved all the treats, fresh flowers & special touches just for us & to feel so welcomed in their lovely town of Frankford. The bed was super comfy, kitchen area had everything you would need, bathroom & shower was AMAZING! This was a last minute getaway for us so we feel so fortunate to have found such a beautiful place to stay! The only Airbnb in the area that met all our needs & wants! We will 100% return again & recommending the “sweetest suite” to all our family & friends! Truly believe this trip was meant to be & our paths were meant to cross w/Donna & Neal!

I loved it here! It's literally an ocean front space. We enjoyed having the screen door open listening to the waves. I loved this place so much I'm literally telling everyone about it so they can stay there haha! The weather wasn't great to start when we went down but I 10000% would book again. We were steps away from the beach, we was able to still see our unit from the sand. I got lucky to find this place!

We had a great time at Seth’s place. The location was perfect, quiet but still plenty to do. Easy beach access and clear directions for everything. Watched dolphins from the balcony and loved hearing the waves.

Really enjoyed our stay at Stephanie's. Awesome condo that was clean, comfortable and roomy. Wonderful views from Living Room, Balcony and Master Bedroom. Close enough to the water to hear the waves breaking. Plenty of restaurants and shops close by. Definitely hope to be back!

Bryan is super responsive and easy to communicate with. He notified us of detailed check in and check out instructions. He then checked in on us towards the end of the trip to make sure all of our expectations were met; to which they were. This condo is exactly as described in the listing and pictures. It’s clean and cozy. The view from the bedroom is unmatched. The location is perfect in a sense that it’s not too close to the boardwalk, making the area a little more quiet, but also within 10 mins to the best restaurants and bars. The staff at the condo and even other guests were friendly and courteous. If you’re afraid of heights, this might not be the best place to stay for you, but as I previously mentioned, the view from the master bedroom can’t be beat. That view alone, would have us stay again. I would definitely recommend this stay to others.

We had an amazing stay! The place was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the view off the balcony was amazing! Shiri was incredibly responsive and kind. Would definitely recommend this place!

We had a wonderful weekend at Amanda’s. The unit is well appointed, cozy, comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable (unfortunately, loud trash trucks woke us up in the morning). The location is great and you can walk to many shops and restaurants. The best part about the condo is the covered deck. It’s large and furnished with a beautiful view. I could have sat out there all day! You can get to the beach easily right from the deck. Amanda was very responsive, friendly and gave me local recommendations I asked for. All in all, a wonderful beach getaway.

The condo was everything we needed for our weekend. The place is beautifully decorated and very clean. Love that they provided the towel, bedding, paper towels, toilet paper, soap and shampoo. It made packing very light for us. The bed and furniture were very comfortable. Wyatt and Melissa responded quickly to any texts or emails we sent and even called to update us on work that had been done. We will definitely be staying there again.
