Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Chincoteague

This place truly was charming! It was a peaceful home and just as described in the listing. Great value and plenty of space for our family of 3. We came because we wanted something close to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and it was the perfect, close location! Also not far from the little downtown for a nice dinner out at RAR brewing over the weekend, and Rebecca was helpful in suggesting good local spots to check out. Rebecca was a great host, providing clear instructions & communications before, during & after our stay. Her family home felt cozy & inviting, and she was great with all the little details that made the house feel special! We would recommend this place & would stay here again if we're in the area!

We loved the experience from booking to check-out. The setting exceeded our expectations. Peaceful and beautiful landscape. Easy to launch kayaks. Chickens were an added bonus. Appreciated the close proximity of Blackwater. Would love to return.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our older dog was going through chemo for cancer, and we made this trip for dog friendly spot. The lab loves water and the beach. It was nice having a fenced in yard. The host was very responsive. The house was well stocked. The kitchen was well stocked. The neighborhood was quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

This little getaway exceeded my expectations and more. The pictures listed on Airbnb are beautiful, but it will never match the views in person. The house was clean and fully loaded with any and all things you may need. I will definitely be back! My dog LOVED playing with the neighbor dog, Bella. By the end of the weekend they were best of friends :)

My mom, sisters, friends and I enjoyed a relaxing fun filled time at the Coastal Oasis at the Chesapeake for our Mother's Day Retreat. The view is amazing and truly can be seen from every room in the house! Being able to see the beauty and calmness of the water helped each of us kick back and let the stress melt away. The big dinning room table allowed all of us all to enjoy breakfasts, dinners and touching conversations together. My guests loved the décor and raved about every detail. The beds and furniture were comfortable and house clean. I would definitely come back!

We had a really nice stay at the Rose Retreat! The home is wonderfully appointed with nice furnishings. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen with upscale drink and dinnerware. The hand written welcome note, bottle of wine and snacks were so thoughtful - thank you! A perfect location from which to enjoy Irvington and the surrounding towns. We hope to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool!

This home is just as advertised...it is very large, great for several families vacationing together! Our group was small so we didn't even make use of all of the space. The house is right on Tanner Creek which is just beautiful for sitting on the dock and relaxing, paddleboarding and kayaking, birdwatching, etc. It's also about a mile from Lookout Point State Park which is absolutely gorgeous. Restaurants and grocery stores are few and far between in this area, so it's a good idea to bring your own food, and the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans for cooking. If you are looking for a place to relax in a calm and beautiful setting, this is it!

Christy's Cottage was very comfortable and pet friendly. It was close to everything we wanted to do, and the kitchen was fully stocked. You can tell why she is considered a Superhost. We enjoyed our stay there, and would certainly consider returning. If you are going to see the ponies, we recommend Captain Mike with Up The Bay Pony Tours. Chincoteague and Assateague are lovely places to visit. Bring your camera if you are a nature lover. Pets aren't allowed on Assateague Island (not even in your car), but at Christy's we were able to leave our pups in their crates for a little while so that we go.

Beautiful spot! Great location, close to all the happenings of Ocean City, but peaceful and quiet at the house…perfect set up. Great neighborhood. The house is beautiful, all the beds very comfortable. The back deck is gorgeous, thoroughly enjoyed that space and taking the kayaks out on the canal! It’s worth bringing your own linens and towels, we packed everything into a large tote and it worked out perfectly. Very responsive and friendly host! We had a great time here and plan to return. Highly recommend!

Clare and Chris could not be nicer and easier to work with. My family/friends have been getting together since 1994 and have been to many great Airbnb's and VRBO's. My group could not stop telling me how great of a week we had. The primary features that were import to us which the house scored big are as follows: It has a dock (we arrived via boat), The kitchen is big, laid out for many "Cooks", The kitchen was open to the dining room table, The dining room table is open to the sitting areas, The pool was clean and inviting, The fire pit with seasoned firewood was a big hit for our group, All the beds were comfortable, The bedrooms were large and comfortable, The baths were clean, modern & large and The location to "What to do in Cambridge" is only 7-10 miles away. We made prearrangements: Richardson Maritime Museum to have a guided tour with David Williams on Friday and Spocott Windmill with George Radcliff. Both of these tours were fascinating. Our weekend was 5-Stars.

Tammy’s place was a beautiful Airbnb that provided me and my friends a wonderful experience we loved how private and reserved the neighborhood is we also loved all the accommodations such as the walking distance to the pool and beaches.I would definitely visit here again.

Absolutely cutest rv and unique setting ! We had a blast. We went to the Tiki bar, great dog park in Kilmarnock and many walks along the shore. We even saw a bald eagle fly over us while we were drinking our morning coffee! Everyone we met human and dog was super friendly! That made the trip extra special. Morgan is friendly and a great communicator. Her rv was spotless! Hope to get back to stay another time. Take care Morgan! You have a gem! 💎 ✨ Keep shining! ✨

We had so much at Anne and Neil’s place. It was more beautiful in person than in the photos. The furniture and antiques were so beautifully appointed. We had lots of fun as a family enjoying their pool, searching for shark teeth and shells on their beach, and getting on the water in their boats. Lots of fun. We all wish we could have stayed longer.

This was our second stay at Tortuga Cottage. As spacious and clean for my husband, me, and our two young boys plus our Labrador retriever as we remembered it from 2 years ago. It is nestled in a friendly, shaded neighborhood that felt safe and welcoming to walk our dog around and explore the local restaurants, trails, and stores. Only 15 minutes from the beach with accessible parking and locker rooms. Kristy was great at communicating before, during, and leading up to departing from our stay. If you’re on the fence about booking this place, just do it! You’ll be overjoyed that you did.

Great spot. Quite end. 20 min walk to main boardwalk area. Small, semi recent update. Great for couple or with small children. Would stay again.

We loved our stay in Captain’s Cove! Nick was a very responsive host with wonderful local suggestions. Do be aware that there is really not much in the way of gas stations, grocery stores or restaurants in the immediate area. We knew that going in, though, and it wasn’t an issue for us. Just know you will need to drive a bit or prepare with those items on your way in (which Nick told us in advance as well!) The view is beautiful! The Airbnb is exactly as pictured. It was very quiet as well. Loved that it was pet friendly so we could bring our dog! Would definitely stay again!

We ABSOLUTELY loved our visit, and plan to return and stay with Basia! Our weekend consisted of rainy weather and she offered us a covered porch which was well worth it!! Each morning we had a peaceful water view with the horses in the distance. I don’t think it could get any better. The boat tour was SO much fun. Basia stayed in contact with us about when would be the better time to go. She really looked out for us when the weather would be at its peak. Her recommendations never failed to impress. Thank you SO much for having us!! We plan to be back.

Fantastic airbnb experience! The house is cozy and comfortable, fits a lot of people, and has so many amenities. You can have a peaceful time without going stir crazy and I didn't have any concerns about anything while there because of the great hosts! Will be back the next time I find myself in the area!

What an amazing place! The photos did not do it justice. We had beautiful weather and the back patio/deck was the perfect hangout. We went kayaking, caught a lot of crabs, and enjoyed being by the water. We had the firepit going while one of us was grilling food and the vibes were perfect. The detached game room saw plenty of heated pool games with a great selection of music and sound system. Bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. Dawn provided very detailed instructions so that you know all that you need to do. All-in-all, great spot that is a perfect group getaway!

Loved our stay! The house was extremely clean and living room couches and beds were very comfortable and in great shape. The house was a perfect getaway for our family, and the one level interior and just a few steps at the outside doors made it so easy for our young children and old dog. Would definitely stay again.

From the unbearable sunsets on the end of the dock to sleeping with salt air breeze, screened in porch for breakfast and lingering over a good book - our stay was everything we needed.

First of all, this house and the views are STUNNING. This was the first vacation that I have taken with my fiancé and our 2 pups, and we had the best time--it was such a sad day when we had to leave lol. We basically ordered Doordash and Walmart Pickups the entire time we were there and never left the property during our stay. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the cookware you could need, there are kayaks and paddle boards for entertainment, and plenty of floats for relaxing in the bay. There is a little private beach within 1 min walking distance from the house and there is access to the water from the backyard. It had everything we wanted for a relaxing vacation with our pups. I am already working on convincing my fiancé that we need to go back in the near future. 10/10 would recommend.

We had an enjoyable stay at Melissa's place for our 25th wedding anniversary the week of Memorial Day. The listing is very accurate and the communication from the hosts was great! Questions were answered quickly. Location is very central to everthing. Would come and stay again!

This place was as described. Very peaceful get away for my family and totally worth the price we paid. Teresa was quick to respond and recommended some place to eat. We will be back to experience the fall weather.
