Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Virginia

My husband and our 2 dogs enjoyed our stay at the Dairy Barn on our way to North Carolina from Ohio. It was an easy drive and the house was clearly marked so we could find it. As we pulled into the driveway, a small opossum greeted & scurried away. This was the only wildlife we saw besides a mixture of native birds the next morning. We appreciated the scenic view with our morning coffee. My dogs loved smelling around the yard. The landscaping is well maintained so the dogs were able to enjoy the space. Rebecca was super quick to respond to our questions. We accidentally forgot to pack an item and the cleaning staff was kind enough to set it aside for our return. Rebecca provided us with a list of nearby restaurants. If you are looking for a peaceful, private and convenient stay (especially if you’re bringing your dog along) this is the place for you! We compared our trip to the Dairy Barn against local hotels in and around area and this offered us so much more for equal price!

This was my third time staying at this quiet hillside retreat house. I love the sunrises and the view of the moon and stars through the front windows that are floor to ceiling. The layout of the house in unbeatable, and I relish its privacy, and how responsive the host is. I know what to expect and always feel good staying there.

I’m pretty sad that I don’t own this house. Pictures don’t it justice, and the pics are incredible. The house, the cows, the coziness….I’ve already shared this house to a few friends! Kayla was very responsive throughout our stay. 5 stars all around!

A very nice spacious house that suit our family perfectly, hosts are very responsive, they always got back to us right away. We had a great Memorial weekend in glass house, highly recommended to other travelers!

This was a great place to enjoy a lowkey bachelorette party! It was beautiful scenery, the space was perfect for 6 of us, and the home was very clean! We’re able to travel seamlessly to the local brewery, Cave Ridge Vineyard, and the lake and enjoyed quiet and private nights at the air bnb! I would absolutely recommend a stay here!

What a lovely home with stunning views. Very convenient location. Close to everything, Charlottesville, Afton, the Crozet railroad tunnel, mountains etc. The house itself is super cool. Open modern design equiped with everything. The sauna is wonderful! The Our hosts thought of everything! We often commented on the little things we came across that made an impression. Justin was very responsive and made every effort to make sure our accommodations were perfect. Thank you for the wonderful espresso Justin! How nice to wake up in the morning to the gorgeous views while sipping coffee shop quality espresso. We hope to come back every year.

I had a wonderful stay! The place was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the house itself was very pretty and cozy. Everything was clean and well taken care of. I’d definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay. The Home Stretch was perfect for the calm and quiet getaway my family needed. The owners have meticulously thought through everything a guest may need or need to know and have labeled the home accordingly, which made getting settled in a breeze. Erin’s place is the cleanest Airbnb I’ve stayed at. The shower is huge and the water pressure is better than what I have at home. There’s plenty of room for luggage, and she supplies everything you would need for a nice little getaway. I’ll be booking through Erin every time I’m visiting Virginia.

A perfect location to visit Hot Springs and Warm Springs VA! I had the best time, a must visit!

The studio was cozy, spacious, and clean, with a clear private entrance. We had no issues during our stay and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Conveniently close to family, restaurants and stores.

Beautifully decorated and extremely clean! Had everything we could have possibly wanted and the location was perfect for visiting wineries and breweries! We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the area!

We will definitely be back is the best endorsement. Quiet basement space that is in a safe and accessible neighborhood- one bed, living room, kitchen with induction stove, bathroom and cute dining area. Private entrance through the side gate with flood lights making late check in safe and easy. The owner is extremely responsive and lives upstairs but you barely hear anything. It had everything we needed and more. Internet connection was not lightening fast but you can still get online.

The loft has a view of the garden with a black cat 🐈‍⬛️ on the fence. I enjoyed the natural surroundings and listening to the birds singing as the sun came up.

Very convenient stay located right next to the beach and board walk. Walkable to many places. The condo might seem a bit small but it has everything you could need. My wife and I had a nice stay here.

Thank you Molly! What a beautiful location! Very clean with comfortable beds. Be aware that it is on the third floor and there is no elevator. It’s also not (exactly) in Mt. Jackson so it’s 45 minutes to Luray rather than 30.

“Tranquility Cove” is a perfect description of our restful & relaxing stay that my husband & I enjoyed during Mother’s Day weekend. Mary Anne is an exceptional host who provided for all our comforts with every amenity that we needed to enjoy a relaxing weekend at Smith Mountain Lake. The view of the sunrise over the lake & mountains along with the peaceful surroundings, access to the swimming pool & fitness center provided all that we needed for our dream-vacation-weekend. My husband & I have found our vacation destination at SML!

very nice place, we enjoyed our stay. there is lots to do around town within walking distance and parking is very nearby. as said in the description there are people upstairs working but the noises didn’t go into the night nor the next morning. we loved the spiky light in the living room and the comfy bed.

Wonderful condo with amazing views. Close to hiking trails, and a restaurant right across the street. Watching the sunrise on the deck is so amazing and peaceful. Lauren is extremely responsive.

The home was clean and just smelled clean - we really appreciated the lack of any factory made fake scents like Glade plug ins and scented laundry detergent as my wife is allergic to these. We had a great time and will return.

Jamil & Rania, are easily the most responsive hosts we have experienced on AirBnb. They made everything from check in to check out so easy; got back within minutes on any questions or concerns. The pics do not do the apartment justice. The decor and layout is in such good classic taste, everything from the wonder sofa, bathroom fittings, Master bed is the most comfortable bed ever slept in and sheets, duvet and pillows are high quality. Going to see if we can buy that mattress:-) Kitchen is very well stocked in terms of dishware, pots and pans etc, Coffee maker and k cups an added bonus, Dis-washer super easy to use. Work desk as super addition for log in to check work emails - wi-fi excellent. Sofa amazing as is mirror and walk in closet. Give them 5 stars, definitely stay again; definitely recommend! Thomas’ place was stunning. The view was amazing, and the entire space felt cozy, charming, extremely clean, and peaceful. The location was perfect—beautiful and walkable, close to Tysons malls, great restaurants, and the Tysons Metro station. A perfect spot for anyone visiting the DC area. Thomas was very attentive and provided clear, easy-to-follow instructions. Overall, this is a top-notch place and probably my favorite choice when visiting the DC area.
