Lake house holiday rentals in Candlewood Lake

We had a wonderful stay at Allie's cottage on the lake! The home was just as described, super clean with more than everything we needed for a great stay! My husband loves to cook and the kitchen was beautifully stocked and organized. There is so much to do right at the house, we ended up spending most of our time enjoying the lake and the huge yard! Such a wonderful Airbnb with thoughtful touches (welcome basket), yard games and kayaks. So nice to feel right at home! We only wish we would have stayed longer! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage on the gorgeous lake!

Although I had difficulty of checking in the house, my family had wonderful and happy memories ! I'll be back for sure!!! Thank you very much!^..^

This was a 12/10 experience! My girlfriend and I both brought out two pups and loved every second of our stay. Every corner we turned was a new decoration in the house that caught our eye, so creative and fun!! Soaked up the back yard, fire pit, and water! We will definitely be returning!!

Great Airbnb, I would highly recommend. I appreciate the flexibility on the check in and check out times. The kitchen was very well stocked as well.

Juliana and Paul were great hosts! There was a storm the day we arrived and they communicated about the towns power outage before our arrival. They had generators on hand and Paul set up the generator and had many extension cords, flashlights and called local supermarkets/restaurants for us. Luckily the outage was just a few hours. The place was clean and spotless. It was quiet and a short drive into Main Street where you can find restaurants. It is close to many beautiful hikes. We would certainly return as it was a joy to stay in such a peaceful home.

Really lovely home with gorgeous outdoor space. I thought it looked even better than the photos (which look great)! We visited with two 3yos, and the house was very thoughtfully designed for both the kids and the adults (baby gates, a high chair, nothing breakable on low shelves, etc). We loved the house and would absolutely come back again

Very pleasant stay at very spacious home. Good value and comfortable. You shouldn’t expect a luxury accommodation for this price, but it was well located (short drive to Rheinbeck) and well appointed with supplies and good coffee, which was a nice touch. The outdoors looked wonderful, however, the rainy weather and bugginess made it hard to enjoy. Overall enjoyed our stay!

We had an amazing relaxing weekend. The beds are comfy, pool heated, quiet serene area. All around perfect weekend getaway. The house was clean and had everything we could have possibly needed.

Gaby's place was perfect for our weeklong family stay in early June. The setting is beautiful and quiet with the croaks of frogs greeting us in the evening and song birds in the morning. The natural light, stunning views of the lake and hills, and the uniqueness of each of the rooms added to the feeling of being on retreat. The kitchen was stocked with every item we would stock in our own home making it a breeze to cook meals for the whole family. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and private. We loved hanging on the dock with our kids and paddling on the lake with the provided paddle boards and kayaks. Oh... and the sauna was an added treat. We were very appreciative of Gaby's hospitality and quick response to questions. We will recommend her place to friends and hope to stay again in the coming years.

Was in the area to visit family and this was a perfect location for me. Had just what my family needed to have a great weekend

A truly Great stay in Greenwich with David, we really enjoyed our stay in the house, such an awesome place and quiet location (next to a beautiful river!) too, which we loved. The views of Bantam Lake from UB's corner are beautiful. The location of the property is great for exploring the nearby towns and parks. Ellen was responsive and communication was easy.

We had a great long weekend stay at Brian's place with our dog. The view of the lake from the house was incredible. The entrance down the stairs gave us a very private area for us to spend time enjoying the surroundings. The place itself was very clean, had everything we needed and Brian was great at communication the whole time. We couldn't believe this was only an hour or so drive from NYC. We would definitely stay again!

Such a beautiful home with lots of open space and quiet rooms, great for both hosting friends or finding a comfy place to sit and read. 10 min drive to beautiful downtown New Milford, it was the great place to rest and relax. Simple, yet has every thing you would want and/or need. I would definitely stay again!

Michael's place was exactly what we needed - beautiful, tranquil and quiet. The lake was great to sit next to and look at. The weather was a little cold so not conducive to swimming but I would have definitely gone for a swim if it were warmer. Instead, we spent a lazy afternoon playing records and reading. The grill was convenient (and clean) - we grilled our dinners both nights. And, of course, there was a cute bunny hopping around in the front without a care in the world!

Glenda was friendly and had great communication from Start to Finish. This was a nice location for a family fun weekend. Although the drive is close enough to stores if you need anything (target/stopnshop/bjs etc), the property is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The yard is a great place to hang out and relax with the fire pit or have fun in the pool. And when the weather was crappy the pool table and hanging out in the basement den was nice. Everything in the house is labeled and easy to find. We enjoyed the space and would definitely recommend. Thanks again! 😊

We had a wonderful week at The Lake House. We enjoyed having the lake all to ourselves for fishing and canoeing. The outdoor spaces there are great and even had a couple of black bears come by for a visit. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to make meals for a large group. The fresh cut flowers in the entry, along with the fresh fruit basket and bottle of wine upon arrival were nice little touches that we appreciated.

this place is magical. my sisters and I have stayed here twice now, for her wedding and now for mine. both times the home has been clean and the overall experience has been wonderful.

Our family had a lovely time at the Creekside Retreat. We arrived to a clean house with clear instructions for entering. Parking was convenient to the front door. We settled in and played scrabble which was provided by the host in the game cabinet. The second day we enjoyed a great breakfast at a local diner and went hiking about 20 miles away at Minnewaska state park. There was also a walking trail much closer we may check out on another trip. There was a park nearby my children walked to play baseball. Our two dogs made themselves at home. The creek was flooded so we weren’t able to enjoy the deck on it or the boat - maybe next time. The hot tub also didn’t work while we were there but we didn’t realize until later in our stay so it may have been a simple solution. The host generously left towels, blankets, and toiletries but we couldn’t find wash cloths. Wood was left out for the fire. Overall, we had what we needed for a great weekend getaway.

Sunil was quick to respond, answered all our questions and was very pleasurably to talk to. I feel like I made a new friend who made us feel like his house was our house. Although most of our stay was during the colder months, we did get to enjoy and see the lake transform from its frozen world to its warmer beautiful lake front water world. Had only a few chances to kayak and fish which was extremely enjoyable. The property is a hidden gem. Close to a town that offers several good restaurants and an Italian pastry store. Everything needed is all within 5 minutes away. We needed a place close to home for 3 months and this worked out for us.
