Holiday rentals with a kayak in Candlewood Lake

We stayed at Georgia's beautiful home for a weekend with another couple. access to home was easy. Home was clean and ready for us. Property/ view was stunning. right on the water. We spent sometime in the gazebo one morning when it was driving outside. The hot tub was awesome. we had some great meals in town. . fabulous trip! thank you.

We had the best long weekend, the house is immaculately clean and so peaceful. Enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch looking out at the water. Wish we could have stayed longer! The area is beautiful, lots to do. Would definitely go back for another stay!

Great Airbnb, I would highly recommend. I appreciate the flexibility on the check in and check out times. The kitchen was very well stocked as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this location during my daughter’s graduation from Bard College. The location has beautiful views of the lake and the layout of the property was perfect for the family to gather and celebrate, while also giving everyone the space for their own quiet time or rest. I would definitely recommend this location and hope to have the opportunity to stay again.

The stay at Matthew's place was great. One of the best airbnbs we've stayed at. Right on the water and the views were amazing. The place was clean and everything we needed was there. Matthew was an amazing host, probably one of the best we've ever had. He answered all my questions before heading out there and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come out here again and it was great for our family.

Gaby's place was perfect for our weeklong family stay in early June. The setting is beautiful and quiet with the croaks of frogs greeting us in the evening and song birds in the morning. The natural light, stunning views of the lake and hills, and the uniqueness of each of the rooms added to the feeling of being on retreat. The kitchen was stocked with every item we would stock in our own home making it a breeze to cook meals for the whole family. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and private. We loved hanging on the dock with our kids and paddling on the lake with the provided paddle boards and kayaks. Oh... and the sauna was an added treat. We were very appreciative of Gaby's hospitality and quick response to questions. We will recommend her place to friends and hope to stay again in the coming years.

We had a great long weekend stay at Brian's place with our dog. The view of the lake from the house was incredible. The entrance down the stairs gave us a very private area for us to spend time enjoying the surroundings. The place itself was very clean, had everything we needed and Brian was great at communication the whole time. We couldn't believe this was only an hour or so drive from NYC. We would definitely stay again!

The stay at Ashlie’s was just perfect. The cabin is so intimate and secluded, but very close to everything you might wanna check out! Ashlie was very friendly, I would definitely stay again!!

Very clean, great communication, and a perfect little lakeside getaway for a young family. Our son loved all of the books and toys, and the golf cart was a HUGE hit! Christienne was very responsive and a great host. We had a great time. Would stay again! Add the new Indian spot nearby to your restaurant list! Sooo good! And #thecafe is a must go-to for breakfast. :)

Great place to stay - easy instructions to follow, house is even more spacious than it looks in photos, and the backyard is GREAT for dogs. Would definitely recommend.

Peaceful and beautiful water views. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and the kids loved playing in the water and on the sand bar despite the rocky beach. The house was welcoming and well stocked. It was very warm especially upstairs and took a while to cool down even with all the wall units on. The host was helpful and responsive whenever we reached out. Overall it was a lovely getaway spot!

Comfortable and clean with beautiful scenery - on clear days, you get a Mountain view across the lake! Highly recommend.

This spot was absolutely wonderful. The lake was wonderful, fireplace was a perfect touch proximity to the elephants trunk flea market was a dream and don and Roz were a pleasure to work with. Local pizza from a menu in the cabin was perfect. I could write a novel on how much we loved this place. Definitely coming back. It was a pleasure :)

We loved staying at Great Gull. The house easily housed our family of 5 with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to relax. The home is clean and well stocked with kitchen basics (including coffee and spices) for cooking and the bathrooms included toiletries. Convenient access to the beach - we loved hanging out in the private back yard and patio. We would definitely stay here again!

A charming and quiet lakeside property that is immaculately maintained and has all you could reasonably need. The hosts are responsive and friendly and the area has plenty to do if you'd like to stretch your legs after some time by/on the water.

The location exceeded all expectations. This is one of the few Airbnb‘s that’s actually more beautiful than the pictures. Serenity at its finest. We were greeted by baby deer and a beautiful flock of birds that set the tone for an amazing weekend. Wineries and walks over the Hudson River are a short 20 minute drive away. Fantastic dining along the Hudson. Steve is a true professional host. He only took five minutes of our time and we figured everything else out. The fire pit was amazing with ample wood. Lake view and waterfall and ruins are even better in person than the pictures. The house is spotless and well designed with 2 incredible bathrooms. No cons. All pros. One of the few rentals I’d come back to.

We stayed for a graduation near by, it was perfect for we were looking for. I wish the weather would have been a bit warmer to enjoy the water.

Very sweet cabin and lake area for a getaway. The cabin is nicely updated but still a rustic decor. Plenty of kitchen tools, coffee set-up, toiletries etc that are super useful. There is a private lake swim area that is a quick walk (4 minutes) from the house and a bigger town beach and also Bantam Lake a quick drive away. Nice dining (from casual to formal) and lots of ice cream options in the area. Our weekend was very hot so we only used the deck in the mornings for coffee but it was a lovely start to the day.

Amazing cabin!! My third visit. Was there with friends for fishing and I love the cabin so much that I booked my anniversary weekend and my wife is also in love with the property. Relaxing Birding Fishing Kayaking Fire pit Romantic This place has it all! Book it now! You won’t regret it!

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the cabin for our 10th Anniversary and we had the most peaceful, relaxing stay. The location is impeccable - very private, beautiful setting, close to nearby cute towns. We loved falling asleep listening to the creek and seeing the fireflies over the water. The cabin is adorable and well appointed. Finally, Sam and Catherine could not have been better hosts- very easy to communicate with, reached out with tips, and our dogs enjoyed running around together. We will absolutely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Marta's house. Everything was spotless, well cared for and thoughtful. The check in process was so simple and the house rules were easy to follow. The record collection was such a nice touch, especially on a rainy Saturday afternoon and the basement with a full media setup and games was perfect for a Saturday night in. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and amenities and the hot tub was great as well! The location was also great! Nothing bad to say about this amazing little spot :-)

My partner and I couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. The cabin is tucked away, but Edward’s clear instructions made getting there a breeze. It was spotless, thoughtfully stocked, and we felt genuinely cared for. The lake water was crystal clear, with wildlife all around. We took full advantage of the kayaks, rowboat, floats, and fishing gear, and ended each evening watching the sunset from the dock. The neighboring cabin was occupied by Edward’s family, but they were kind, helpful, and never intrusive—actually, their presence added a sense of comfort in such a secluded spot. It was the perfect weekend escape. We hope to be back soon! Thank you, Edward!
