House holiday rentals in Candlewood Lake

I absolutely enjoyed my weekend here. The home is beautiful. Everything you could possibly need was provided In the home. Everything was clean, and neat. House is filled with light. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. The host were amazing and had great communication, assisted us when needed right away. I would highly recommend staying here, and they are pet friendly which is always a plus for me. The yard is fenced in. Which made it easy to let the dog out, and great for the dog to explore. A++++ Will probably be back sometime In the future.

We had an amazing time at Marybeth’s suite—it truly felt like a winter wonderland. Our kids had a blast "swimming" in the snow and "rolling" over the gentle hills. Every moment was filled with joy, whether we were relaxing in the sunroom, playing in the snow, or swinging outside. The time spent together as a family, along with our conversations with Marybeth and her family, was truly precious. We can’t wait to return in the summer!

We had a great stay at Nathan’s place. The playroom was great for our kids and we all enjoyed the pool. The view was also beautiful. We will definitely be back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Wilderkill Barn. Maria Cristina and William were exceptional hosts—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit special. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The home was a haven, with a hot tub, sauna, pool, fire pit, pool table, and immersive sound and movie systems—all of which made our stay delightful despite the cold, dreary May weather. We can't thank them enough. ***That said, we feel it's necessary to address a serious issue with Airbnb itself that arose while booking this property, unrelated to the property itself. An unexpected tax was added after booking, and Airbnb has yet to provide a clear explanation. After years of loyalty, we were disappointed by their evasive and unhelpful customer support. This experience has made us reconsider using the platform in the future. We urge potential users to scrutinize all fees carefully and be aware that Airbnb’s support may be difficult to navigate if problems arise.***

Our family of 5 and pup had the best time on this gorgeous property! The photos do not do the artful design justice, it’s simply stunning and so thoughtful. Our kids swam ever day and loved the pool. We enjoyed Grace Farms, Prospect Movie Thester and a lovely Father’s Day meal at the Inn at Pound Ridge. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked for someone who likes to cook and DoorDash was also easy to use when we didn’t feel like cooking. We will definitely be back! Thank you, RJ and John!

We really enjoyed our time at Elizabeth Jane's place. The home is spacious and quaint, with nice furnishings, a tasteful colonial feel and easy access to downtown Litchfield and the Berkshires. The bucolic setting is lovely - scenic, relaxing and peaceful.

My family and I stayed at this Airbnb during my wedding weekend and it was perfect! The house is beautiful. It had one bedroom and bath downstairs for my grandma to stay in so she didn’t need to go up the stairs. The kitchen is amazing! It was a great distance to the Candlewood Inn where we got married. Jessica was very responsive and always checking in. Would definitely stay here again!

After using Airbnb for years now no other place was a perfect 10. The lake house was simply great. Not only the physical status but the follow up and generosity of the hosts where beyond. We didn’t want to leave.

Our stay was stunning. The location is quiet and peaceful yet close enough to the town to get what you may need. The home itself is absolutely gorgeous. It’s clean, the layout is beautiful, and the views are out of this world. A truly incredible place to stay. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was perfect, and each room has a full bath which was great for our family. Overall highly recommend

This Airbnb was perfect for a Jack and Jill bachelor/bachelorette party. The house had a lot of things to do we didn’t have enough time to do everything. Host was very responsive and instructions were clear. The view on this place is amazing, breath taking!

Nick was a really responsive and proactive host, which especially stood out when we had a slight issue with the fire alarm (kept beeping). Nick was immediate to address and offer solutions (let us know how to dismantle it ourselves but also had somehow come fix it shortly after). Views from the house were beautiful and house felt private/secluded even though there were neighbors.

John was a fantastic host with a fantastic property! He was flexible, hospitable and allowed for a private, restful stay. The only thing I wish I knew ahead of time, which I might've just missed in the listing, was that there isn't an oven in the home. There is a toaster oven and microwave though. John was even able to acommodate a last minute request to extend the stay. A 10/10 experience!

Such a great spot. Perfect size for a couple. Everything is really nicely laid out and we were especially thankful for how well stocked the kitchen came. Really beautiful view out the huge front windows. Also, super comfortable bed :)

We rented this house for our family visiting us as our house could not accommodate everyone. Highly recommend - we will try to rent the house again for our family when they visit next time. The stay at Matthew's place was great. One of the best airbnbs we've stayed at. Right on the water and the views were amazing. The place was clean and everything we needed was there. Matthew was an amazing host, probably one of the best we've ever had. He answered all my questions before heading out there and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come out here again and it was great for our family.

We had a great stay at the Airbnb. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned in the reviews or descriptions is that this beach had tons of sea glass! In our short stay we found over 100 pieces and my 4 year old was absolutely delighted scouring the beach for it. There are also tide pools less than a five minute walk from the house. These two things made the stay quite magical for my kids. Otherwise the location is great and the house was very clean. I appreciated the bed on the first level having a trundle as well as a door at the top of the stairs for safety. The house is minimally decorated which is honestly a plus when you don’t have to worry about your kid breaking nicknacks on coffee tables. A few nice throw blankets and nicer glassware would have added to the stay though. Overall we were very happy with this property.

Samantha & Kellen were amazing hosts and their place was so lovely!!! The house was even better than the photos - everything was clean, amenities were great, kitchen was well-stocked w/ tons of plates/cups/pots/pans, and most of all, the view was breathtaking - all you see is mountains and trees!! Can't think of anything that could've been improved! As the house is in the mountains & we went during a particularly high-tick season after lots of rain, our dog picked up a decent amount of ticks walking outside the property. Samantha & Kellen were super responsive and helpful, and went out of their way to get the tick sprayer & lawn mowers come out during our week-long stay. Would love to come back!!!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean, and comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was peaceful and beautiful — perfect for relaxing and spending time in nature. The host was responsive and thoughtful. We’d definitely love to come back!

Great stay on the lake! Host provided plenty of great boating and lake equipment, which we used often. Bbq and fire pits were fun, plus there is a covered section for when it rained. Amazing family spot!
