Cottage holiday rentals in Candlewood Lake

Wonderful space to spend time in.. Extra cozy and quiet. Easy walk to several stores/resaurants.. Appreciate the large Televisions as it was March Madness/Basketball time, so that was a nice plus that you dont find in some places. Overall it was extremely pleasant stay for myself and my Girlfriend for a long weekend..

We had a perfect weekend at Nadia’s house. The house was extremely well-styled, comfortable, and cozy. The multiple decks overlooking the river were beautiful, and we spent an entire day enjoying the sunshine, then the sunset, then a fire at night, all overlooking the water. It was extremely quick and easy to get an Uber into Kingston for a dinner out, and aside from that we felt no reason to leave the property. We hope to come back soon!

Such a lovely home! actually better than I expected! Will definitely book again. It’s honestly a no brainer after staying there. I can recommend this place 100%!

We had a lovely stay at kim’s. The location was great, having a hot tub was really nice even with the weather getting warmer, the space was very clean and kim was very responsive to us throughout the whole stay.

The perfect stay for horse showing at HITS! My only hesitation in writing this review is that I didn't want anyone else to know about this place for future horse shows! ;) An excellent place to stay with above and beyond amenities, easy check in and great for traveling with a dog. Will absolutely be back!

What a wonderful week we had at Martin’s home! The home was beautiful, very clean, well decorated, and probably the best stocked kitchen of any Airbnb I have ever rented. We were just four minutes from the town of Kent but felt like we were a world away in the woods. This home is off of a lane country road set back a bit with woods behind the house, a beautiful back deck with a dining table and a grill and a hot tub. The bedroom and living area were extremely comfortable for our staycation and we enjoyed cooking all of our meals on the grill. Macedonia State Park as well as the Appalachian Trail are just one or two minutes down the road and we enjoyed taking our dog on hikes there. From start to finish, Martin was extremely communicative with us prior to our arrival and throughout our stay as needed. This place is a gem and if you are looking for a country getaway in a beautiful home, not too far from New York, this is it. We will certainly be back!

This is our second time staying at Foxfire Hill, and it was wonderful to see the gardens in their glory. Great and responsive hosts. I’m sure we will be back again.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. I had reached out to Lisa numerous different times and she was very understanding and quickly responsive. The home itself was clean, walking distance from the beach, and I loved it was nice and cool inside from the AC.

Comfortable and clean with beautiful scenery - on clear days, you get a Mountain view across the lake! Highly recommend.

We loved staying at Great Gull. The house easily housed our family of 5 with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to relax. The home is clean and well stocked with kitchen basics (including coffee and spices) for cooking and the bathrooms included toiletries. Convenient access to the beach - we loved hanging out in the private back yard and patio. We would definitely stay here again!

This house was perfect for my anniversary getaway. It was a short 4/5 min walk to the beach. The house itself was great. The neighborhood was super peaceful and the surrounding restaurants were good as well. Definitely would make this a yearly visit. Thank you so much for the amazing stay

We had a lovely stay in South Salem and enjoyed exploring nearby pound ridge and new Canaan. We loved the organic snacks provided by the host and the peaceful setting.

Very clean, great communication, and a perfect little lakeside getaway for a young family. Our son loved all of the books and toys, and the golf cart was a HUGE hit! Christienne was very responsive and a great host. We had a great time. Would stay again! Add the new Indian spot nearby to your restaurant list! Sooo good! And #thecafe is a must go-to for breakfast. :)

Joanne & Rick’s place is fantastic. The pictures don’t even do justice at how beautiful the area is. I felt in love at how peaceful and serene it felt. The place was spotless clean which is a plus for me. I didn’t get to explore the area since I was only there to relax and work. Joanne & Rick are very kind and friendly and I cannot wait to go back to stay longer so I can explore the neighborhood and all the recommendations they provided.

Great little escape that has you overlooking a waterfall. Very charming interior thats makes it feel incredibly homely, even for its quaint size. The location is a great middle ground for multiple towns, from New Paltz to Woodstock, and Laura and Leo ensure that their guide includes multiple destinations and local restaurant to visit. Great amenities, would definitely choose their property again!

This spot was absolutely wonderful. The lake was wonderful, fireplace was a perfect touch proximity to the elephants trunk flea market was a dream and don and Roz were a pleasure to work with. Local pizza from a menu in the cabin was perfect. I could write a novel on how much we loved this place. Definitely coming back. It was a pleasure :)

The cottage has everything you need! It is immaculate (literally, sparkling and gleaming clean), and homey. It’s nicely air-conditioned throughout, which provided much comfort during the humid hot days we were there. The nearby beaches are amazing (our family’s favorite beaches in Connecticut). Annie (host) was so responsive and helpful with suggestions. It was our best Airbnb of all times!!!!

Great place with view of cove from front room and porch. Quiet location and very private. Easy to get around the area. Off street parking. Beautiful garden to sit in and looked over cove.

My partner and I had a fantastic time during our weekend getaway at David’s beautiful eco house. David was super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We came up from nyc without a car and really didn’t need one especially for such a short trip. The town is a short walk from the air bnb and features a handful of great restaurants. Hiking trails are minutes from the air bnb. Plenty to do within the area to entertain yourself. Not only was the house clean, but the air was exceptionally clean, fresh and free from odors which we really appreciated. The back porch allowed us a serene and private environment to appreciate the birds and other wildlife. After day 1 we were already planning our next visit :)
